Sorry if this was posted. I'm new to the forum.
I have a unlocked HD2 from Telstra and I have AT&T. I have gotten the data connection to work for most things except for Opera. But, I am also unable to receive or send text or email messages. I used a .cab to get the settings for the data connections.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi folks.
I've had a search but I was unable to find an answer to my query. Hope you can help.
I have set up my GPRS settings using the info on the t-mobile website and I can browse the internet and send MMS messages without problem.
However, I am unable to receive MMS messages, whether sent by myself or another party.
I would be extremely grateful if someone could point me to resource or provide assistance to aid me with this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Even after sending an MMS you still definitely can't receive? Because some operators don't provision you for MMS until you have shown yourself to be an active user i.e. by sending one - saves on software licences. If not, just call customer services.
Hello, and thanks for the reply.
It would appear that I can now receive messages sent by myself but I have had three people (including t-mobile customer services) send test MMS but they haven't come through. Two of these three could receive messages which I sent to them.
One of these messages shows in my inbox but when I click download it just beeps and goes back to the inbox.
T-Mobile just said it might be intermittent but that was three days ago and it is still the same. I will call them back, was just wondering if someone here had maybe had the same problem and could spare me the rigmarole(sp?!) of going through the test scripts over the phone.
Thanks again,

"Sir, is your device powered on?"
Let us know if you get that one...
That's what I am worried about!
When I called originally, the poor lady had no idea what these MMS settings were that I was asking for and she was really uncomfortable, obviously reading from a technical script. An out-of-date technical script too!
Hopefully they'll just put me straight through to tech support this time.
Hi,
I have a T-Mobile MDA/HTC Wizard.
A friend of mine sent me a picture via MMS. I got a notification that I received a MMS, but the notification contains a link to a website to go and view the image on www.tmobilepictures.com
How can I receive MMS messages directly on my phone rather than gettting a link to go to a website?
Any ideas?
Thanks.

It's a network issue. I used to get this with O2 in the UK - if the phone has not been set up for MMS, or at least if it's not activated on the network side, they will send a link.
Is so that people can send MMS to people that dont have a phone that supports MMS. Basically contact your network cusomer services so they can activate it.
yea i would get that too. the link didnt even wanna go through on the browser either. im going to call them.
Does anybody know how to send text messages/sms over the internet/edge/gprs on the tmobile wing?
I just got a wing and have the unlimited internet plan, but no text messaging plan at all.
So if you know anything please help.
Thank you.
From what I know of the cellular system (correct me if I am wrong) text messages travel through different routes than the internet. It's part of the phone system, not TCP/IP. You can use instant messaging programs, and possibly some sort of web-to-text output, but I doubt you'll be able to receive any texts.
I know you can send some from the T-mobile web site, but not receive any back...
Hey everybody, i try to send a mms and it doest go thru. I get a icon by the text, i go to view report and it says pending.
Any ideas on how to send mms. i'm on att.
thanks
I have had this issue with my old Iphone as well.. I could send an MMS to an e-mail address but not another cell. The other issue could be the area you are in.. my area does not have 3G currently ( suppose to have it end of this year ). When I am in a 3G area I can send MMS just fine.

I would call AT&T. I had an issue like this on my BB Curve (Edge only) and it was a setting they had to change on my account somewhere. Once they corrected it I was able to send and receive MMS just fine.
Hi, guys! I've just moved from SonyEricsson P1i to T-Mobile Vibrant (unlocked, rooted) and experiencing some issues with the phone. Maybe someone could help to solve those...
1) I have only 12,4Gigs of internal storage. looks kind weird, it should have 16 as I thought.
2) When I receive SMS from short number (332, 10901, 9991 or alphabetic) the messaging program groups those messages in a single thread and tells me that sender is "unknown". All those numbers aren't in my phone book.
3) I have 2 access points. One is for Internet the second one is for MMS. I can use Internet and send MMS, but it can't download a single MMS. ( If I delete an Internet AP than MMS forks fine. Network is 1800MHz, EDGE.
Thanx!
anyone? ((

Those messages might be for Visual Voice mail or another network feature like Mobile contact back up..
You never get to use all 16GB of storage..
Try combining your MMS and Data APN's into one instead of two separate ones
