Hi,
Anyway of reviving this device? Totally dead, wont turn on/charge, PC not detecting, no activesync.
Tried all the combinations to try and hard reset or enter bootloader mode. No success, absolutely dead. Any trick to revive?
Regards
When I repair pcs and there is no power the first thing I do is check the power source. Make sure the battery is good, has a charge, and is connecting to the contacts in the phone. If that doesn't take care of the problem then it is most likely a microcircuit in the phone itself. That being the case, it would be time for a new phone.

I have upgraded my Qtek 9100 with new Windows Mobile 6 WWE. After restarting the device everything worked OK, i just setted up basic things (clocks, owner information etc..) - nothing peremptory. After this I restarted it with soft reset again and it still worked... But then i shortly pressed power button (just to turn off the display) and after 10 minutes i wanted to turn it on again, but nothing happened.. The GSM LED diode still winked, but I couldnt turn the device on. So I used soft reset and again nothing happened, just GSM LED diode stopped winking. - Since this it was totaly bricked. I also tryed hard reset and bootloader mode, but none of this appered. The battery was 100% charged and I tryed to charge it again, but it didnt helped. I also tryed to take out and insert again the battery, but it still was unsuccessful What should I do now?
If the lights are still blinking then the phone still has life and appears to be operating (in some fashion). If you plug in the USB cable, does the charging light come on? If that does, then it is definetly still running.
I would suggest you taking the battery out and leaving it out for 5mins - 30mins. Then putting it back in and try turning it on. If nothing, try doing a hard reset after that. Also remove your SD card.
Good luck
Lights arent blinking at all. When I plug in the USB cable or charger, also no lights. I also tryed hard reset after plugging the battery, but again unsuccessful
Sorry, but its sure sounding like a bricked phone (although I've never heard of one that bricked sometime later. Usually its right after an upgrade).
Only other possibility is your battery has been completely drained. Can you get another battery to try in the phone? If not, then you can try jump starting the battery.

Yes, I know that is bricked. What should I do to unbrick it?
Temporary brick at most if it was still running after the update. Try the different combos of battery out and in. This sounds like what a device does when the battery is bombed. If nothing, a new battery is definitely in order before you assign it permanent doorstop status. Good luck.
Hey guys,
unfortunately my Universal suddenly has lost his life spark! I did a normal soft reset and after that, it didn't boot up anymore. I tried to do a hard reset, but after pressing 0 (the screen shows up though) it switched off and did nothing. Even when i plug in the charger there is no LED lighting up.
My next step of course was trying to reflash it (bootloader screen works) but the upgrade programm on the computer didn't find any device connected.
So, is there any chance or method i can somehow reanimate my phone?
Thanks in advance,

1st thing would be to test the charger with a diffrent phone if it works fine then maybe internal problem with phone, take the battery out and put your finger across the battery terminals in the phone this will fool it into thinking there is a battery present and if the mains charger is good and the phone is fine then in theory it should allow it to boot up again. if this fails you will probably need repair
with jasjar-bl1.01-ruu-v1.2 I alway restart my JJ Leave your uni i bl an start the application Good luck

Universal is able to charge only after first initializing Therefore as your device never come so fare you will not able to see any LED. Anyhow and somehow it is a good sign ( better then RED LED)
Further to your problem which was sudden switch off, leads me to think that your battery might died!! Do you still rebember what battery level it had just before switch off? Next, Do you have a spare battery to test with it? beside one more thing you could try is to take out your SIM card and Memory card and see whether you could boot up.
i tried pretty everything: spare battery, no sim/sd card, etc...
but after using the file mauric.26 has mentioned, it works again!
dont ask me why...
thank you guys!
Is the same for me I don't know why but with that file ruu-1.0....resume the uni I'm happy for you Bye

Hi,
a friend showed me his broken Magician (T-Mobile MDA Compact).
It did not turn on, no led, no nothing...
I plugged in my fully charged battery from my Charmer and connected it to my power supply, same thing.
I tried to enter boot loader (power, camera, reset pin), no reaction.
Any hope for this thing? Is there a sort of even "harder" reset?
Your phone may have 'bent' or broken battery terminas that aren't making contact.
Hi,
sorry I know this doesn't answer your question at all, but I was just wondering if you managed to get your Magician fixed in the end.
My daughter's SPV M500 recently stopped working, pretty much the same symptom, so I was wondering if you were successful in fixing it, and if so, how?
Thanks in advance!
Try this- open the back of the device, undo all the screws, open until you see the circuitboard. on one side (i can't remember which one) check the widest cable that connects to the circuitboard - undo the latch and pull it out, push it back in and close the latch, then try turning it on. that cable keeps coming out in mine.
The widest ribbon, is actually the LCD ribbon.
He would have still heard the introductory 'beep' if the unit was actually working (even if the LCD wasn't connected).
i got the same problem.....
i am surfing on the net of my XDA when it shutdown i thought it was a battery problem so i try to charged it but i've noticed that it didn't opened for a couple of hours of charging. i tried to reset but it didn't work. so i decide to hard reset my phone but again it did'nt work, and now my XDA II mini WM 6.1 is totally dead.... i also tried to flash my phone but the activesync of my phone cant detect my PC, and even rebooting my phone also did'nt work.
i've also noticed the redlight blink on the led for a seconds when i charged and unplug the charger...

Strange one, check the USB port on the phone, make sure nothing got damaged or bent in there
Try connecting the USB back in and out the phone a few times
Can't think of anything else atm, apart from the PC sending a spike to the phone and killing it
Tried connecting just the original charger and no battery?
thanks, still the same is it possible that phone is bricked?
It's possible of course, if it won't turn on, to me, that's a brick
Why it happened just sitting connected to the PC I have no idea, apart from that the PC killed it with a power spike somehow
Is it any way to unbrick?
The phone won't power on, so unless you know why, no
Take it to a repair shop / return it under warranty
Can't unbrick something that won't even power on
What about JTAG ? I can buy box if needed?
Not used a JTAG before, so you'd have to do some research yourself, but fairly sure you would need the phone to at least show signs on life / have power
Hi! Similar problems have been posted on the forum before, but none of the solutions worked for me.
Stock Mi A1 with vanilla Oreo (latest official patch), everything stock & vanilla, no hacking, no rooting, no modifications etc whatsoever. All apps installed through google store, nothing fancy.
In short: put my phone into airplane mode about a week ago (battery at 90%), then a few hours into the flight the phone blacked out. Won't react to power button, power+volume up, power+volume down, all buttons, no buttons, any combination of buttons for any length of time. Phone was in my pocket, no physical impact or anything, just "died".
There are 2 signs of life:
- If i plug it to charge the notification LED blinks about 1 / sec
- If I connect it to a computer, it recognizes it as Qualcomm 9008 blabla device.
What I have tried so far and didn't work:
- All imaginable button combinations: no reaction
- Fully charging phone: doesn't help
- Letting battery deplete: doesn't help
- Disassembled the phone, disconnected the battery, put it in charger, reconnected the battery: this fixed the issue for some, didn't work for me.
I GUESS that since the computer recognizes it I could try to "flash" it or whatever, although 1) there are a lot of negative posts about it 2) I have no idea how to do it (which exact ROM, using which exact tool, etc).
I wouldn't mind not losing the data on the phone though, if that is an option: I was about to back up my photos on the flight, but it died before I could have done it.
There is no official Xiaomi support / service where I live, bought the phone while visiting a country which sold it.
Any suggestions?
Small update.
- adb doesn't see the device.
- Miflash sees the device, but dies at "ping via firehose" stage.
-A1 low level backup tool doesn't see the device.
After 2 weeks of googling I have found around 50 forum threads around The Internet with similar issues, but no solution as of yet. Sounds promising!
I had this problem 2 hours ago and fixed with the Disconnect battery, connect charger, reconnect battery (while charger is still connected just to clarify). you tried this fix like this? reconnecting battery while charger is still connected?
Maybe try getting a different battery and connect it, and/or maybe let the battery discharge itself.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I have tried this before. Now I have tried this again just to be sure. Did it multiple times. Disconnect battery, connect charger, reconnect battery. It doesn't alter the phone's state in any way. Doesn't react to buttons, flashes led on charger, shows up as qualcomm 9008 device on PC, but doesn't let me flash anything. Sad.
Qualcomm 9008 is sigh of faulty emmc chip. Bad soldering i guess. Take the device to the service center. My 1 cent op. Regards
Its very simple the solution. The problem is the cable. Try to change the cable, charging the phone and turn it on. I my case works

Have you had any progress? I'm having similar issues with my mi mix 2s.
The answer is to replace the battery. I have two dead batteries for my Mi A1. Both batteries were left in the drawer for several months and upon connecting them to my Mi A1 they showed the dreaded blinking light. After trying to fix this for a day I gave up. I disconnected the battery, the phone booted up right away. Bought a new battery and everything is working again. Hope this helps!
I too had numerous kind of hard bricks with my previous smartphones.
Here are the links that will save your life:

Try the ones that you think fit the most.
I had the same issue just today
removed the battery connector and connected it back without touch any other component
phones working fine now
its bricked and get into edl mode just try to flash with MiFlash tool i have faced this problem some time ago when i flashed an ota with twrp recovery then my phone went dead and when i connect it to pc led blinks and phone recognise in ports as "diagnostic port 9008d" something like that then i install the drivers and flash stock pie rom with MiFlash tool but after successful flashing phone wont boot but after pressing power button for 10 to 15 second phone starts. i have unlocked bootloader so it works for me but i'm not sure it works on locked device try it or use QFIL flash tool from QPST
This happened to me but all i did was charge the phone the whole time.
My Xiaomi A1 had the same issue, I think I have tried all available solution but unfortunately mine still dead, and when I connect the charger it blink.
I guess the ultimate solution is to throw it to a recycle bin.
