upgrading my rom

hi ive just got my xda2i and ive been told i might be able to upgrade my rom to make it faster ,any ideas ,
this is my device information,

rom date: 12/24/04
radio version: 1.00.00

extrom version: 1.10.124 wwe
i'd be grateful for any information ,

if thats the o2 one it looks up to date.
There is a new firmware coming out, possibly next week for o2 devices which will include the blackberry client, and also a fix for the battery life.
Im currently testing the new version before its release.

US Tmobile MDA

I would like to introduce myself, say hi to everyone out there. HI!
I bought a tmobile MDA (wizard) a couple days ago, and started digging for info on it. I did notice that the versions in my device are not listed here as valid options. It may be that the signup page is out of date, then again it may be new firmware and all that. So I thought that I would share what mine came with and if anyone wants a dump of it let me know and that can be arranged, although I seriously doubt that the dump would at all be helpful, specific peeking at it might.

Texts won't send after flashing first ROM?

I flashed my first ROM yesterday after weeks of putting it off and reading about it, but ever since I did it my texts aren't sending? I don't know much about this stuff but the only thing I can relate it to is the wrong radio? My software information reads...

I got my handset from o2 in December, i flashed hspl and pressumed this rom was okay for my device? Anyone any ideas? I can receive texts but people aren't receiving mine?

Phone hangs up before call to mobilephone is made...

Well, the title says it all really.
I keep trying to make calls to other mobiles, but just after i click on to dial, it beeps as if its just hung up before it even tries to dial out.
I've tested several times with different numbers, landlines and mobiles. All landlines work fine. But mobiles don't go through. I've tested the mobiles and they've all had 80-100% signal, as well as my phone having the same.
I can receive all calls, but just cant make them to mobiles.
Any advice?? Update the radio perhaps???

[Q] Do you know how to fix this?

2.10.50.26 (it is stock i never installed a different one)

When I receive MMS the messages are so small usually 2K to 5K. Does anybody know how to fix this problem. It happened to me on my stock ROM too, so I don't think it is the ROM's fault. Any ideas?
To clarify here is a picture of what I am talking about. I send the message FROM my phone TO my phone to actually check and this is the result.
