Hi,
I have a ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5.5, and it has a smaller topbar (With time in it and stuff like that) and a bigger bottom bar then the older version of Windows Mobile.
It's almost like the one of HTC HD Mini, but it does not have the glass effect, behind the softkeys, its just black.
Is there any way to get a glass effect exacly the same as in HTC HD Mini for the bottom and top bar?
I have seen it already in other ROM's, so I think there must be a cab/theme for it aswell, but I can't find it anywhere.
Or maybe someone could make a cab?
Much thanks in advance!
Greetz,
Joshoon
You need to find a theme that matches what you are looking for.
Maybe Dusk Themes?
Also get's rid of stock windows wait cursor and replaces with a Black scolling bar.

Hey guys, I got bored with the same old looking HTC Home today plugin on my device so I decided to fiddle around a little bit with the .png's and this is what I came up with. If you like the look just unzip the folder attached and put the file into your HTC home folder and replace the old file with it. You might want to back up the old file in case you want to switch back to it sometime.
THIS IS NOT A NEW INSTALL OF HTC HOME, IT IS MORE OR LESS JUST A SKIN FOR IT. YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE HTC HOME TODAY PLUGIN INSTALLED TO USE IT.
enjoy.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but where is the HTC Home folder?
not a stupid question, it should be in the main device folder where your windows, temp, and program files folders are located
Weird, it's not there - shame, your mod looks really nice.
hmm, you probably have a rom wth the HTC home plugin written into it. You could try just putting the file into your windows folder and see if it asks if you want to replace the file with the new one, see if that works!
It's also possible that you have the HTC Home plug-in for WM6, which installs to \HTCHome by default..
Found the file location - spencepu3 was right, the files on my phone (DopodD810/Trinity/WM6) were installed right into the Windows directory.
The 'skin' looks really nice spencepu3 - I suspect you may have started a trend now!
it seems that you guys haven't used emunutz's HTC Home Customizer (version 1.0b5 right now). pretty complete customization of the plugin, including clock font, clock color, skin, icon packages, weather icons, etc.
thanks for the skin though, it's nice to look at.
I have used emunutz's program but as you can see there are no background skins that look like mine, I happen to like the look of mine over the skins in his package

Hey spencepu3,
Nice black skin, my favourite. have downloaded and added to the emunutz's HHC. Now I have another choice. Thanks!
Hello,
I Like that Glossy Style, but for me it is a little bit to glossy. Can you make the glossy part more black and less white, like the top and buttom bar?
Thanks
sure, when I get some free time, maybe tomorrow, I will make a seperate one a little darker for you. However, why would you want it any darker, especially with your black background the bars will barely be seen, this way they stand out more which I like, but if thats what you want I can make it, it shouldnt take long
Oh what a quick reply!
Black is beautiful > I think so.
Thanks for your work, I will look forward to it.
Cheers & regards

@anja31: What is the bar with the 4 buttons over the softkeys? Looking for that for a while now, so I can hide the softkeys^^

Hey guys, I tried to search for this but I couldn't find anything that I wanted. I was wondering if anyone has made a theme for the htc cube that is black instead of gradient grey. Id like the icons to be the same just a black background instead. So pretty much I would like something similar to slither's uno skin, it doesnt seem that it can be used with the default cube though? correct me if I'm wrong. thanks

Hello all. I recently installed the 2D Manilla to my HTC Touch and I absolutley LOVE IT! It goes real smooth and I love the scrolling bar Anyways, onto my question. Does anyone know if it is possible to take off or make the top and bottom taskbars look better with the skin? Here is what it looks like on my phone. Does anyone know if it is possible?

I'm not too sure about removing the taskbar or title bar.....but you can use RC mod to make them both blend in with your current theme in case they don't.

Awesome! Worked perfectly Looks really good with the blue taskbars. There are also some neat CABS as well Thanks for the help.
OP found solution.

Hi. This is my first post here. Got my HD for about 2 weeks ago and love it, but one thing that bothers me is the status icons: Battery, signal wlan etc.
Now, on a device that looks as stylish and sleek like the HD, it's a shame to have those icons that looks like 1979....
I have the S2U2 app installed and really like the icons that are visible on the unlock screen. Is it possible to get these (or equal) to be on the top bar all the time?
Can i somehow skin this myself, and how? Where are those icons represented on the device?
I never tried it, but I think you can skin the taskbar with this software:
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products/pocketpc/WisBarAdvance/
Thank you for your answer. But isn't there already something out ther that is a bit more easy? I have seen other HD screens here with changed icons. How did you guys do?
(BTW, i dpn't know i "skinning" is the correct term. I want these icons to be visible INSTEAD of the old ugly ones. I don't want something running "on top" of the default icons. I'm looking for a REPLACEMENT.)
i believe you're looking for something like this?

Thank you mouki_9.
I will try this.
I'd like the top bar from the S2U2 settings - but I can't find any way to do that...
Any ideas?

See if you like it. It is White Metal 2.5 2013 for a 6.5 build. Tell me what you think.
Also including a different contact icon if you want it. Not necessarry but a different style in case you do not like the contact tab with the human outline.
I am running mighty rom Windows 6.5 with Manila 2.5.2013
I was not happy with the centering of the Calendar date on the tray icon-so I included a cab with the fix.
Facebook Tab. You must already have the tab in order to use this. I installed it from Meltwaters and then alterred his manila for tabs
lubbad85, you are my hero! I have been looking for this everywhere. I don't know why but for some reason I've liked this style of slider ever since I've seen it on another carrier's phone.
I installed it asap and I like how it works! It works like a charm, I love it. Great job lubbad85, you rock! The only thing I would probably do is just better the screen icons when you change to a different tab on the slider. Those stock white ones will do but I would just see if I could replace them with any other better icons. Just my personal opinion. Other than that, you created a beautiful slider!
Quick question, I'm running C0okie's Home Tab. How does that extra notification bar appear? (The one on top of the actual sider)

In the options for cookies home tab you can put the extra notification bar. I think under miscelaneous The bar is a bit redundant though.
Glad you like the slider. Give me an example of what kind of slider you really want. If you give me a direction I can build one. Manila is very forgiving. If you screw it up you have only to delete the manila file that you put into windows and the phone's ROM will build it back the way it was before the new manila was used.

I've been looking around in C0okie's Home Tab for the past 40 minutes and I believe I've gone through the whole editor twice and I still cannot find the setting which enables the extra notification bar. I feel like a noob or just looking for something that isn't there. I'm running v1.8.5.

I got it! Thank, yet again! As far as the slider goes, it works like a charm! I really don't have any other suggestions for it as of right now. Maybe later as time goes by and I think of something. But if you implement any improvements or make any changes to it please post it up, I will gladly test it out. Thank again!
lubbad85, I found a small little defect that you might consider. When I slide to a desired tab on my touch flo, I find that the tab icon I chose has a blurry icon. It looks like as if there is another lighter icon behind the primary icon. It's just a little annoying and tends to cross my eyes after a while. lol. Check it out in the attachment to understand what I'm talking about.
Nice work bro! Would you consider adding icons for Facebook and Call History tabs please?

I found this slider skin very pretty and charming! Is it OK to cook this skin into rom? I'm developing roms for myself, but somehow the xda community convinced me to upload them to public xD

My ROMs won't be updated before August if someone doesn't find some critical bugs
This slider really fits the "old" Sense 2.5 skin, however it has got some images that could be a bit more polished... Ach, and some icons could be a little re-sized, because they aren't this same size. Anyway overall the experience is great! So keep up this wonderful work, first time that I like something that isn't made by ShowTime7.
right.

Hi there, I downloaded and installed the theme, but I dont know how to change the theme, i hate to ask but how exactly do I apply the theme? I tried Star->Settings->Today, but the theme is not on the list of available themes.
Thanks for your patience, I've only had the phone for a week or so.

You're going to run the .cab file from your storage card and install it onto your device when prompted to. Immediately after the slider is installed it is going to ask you to restart so the changes can take effect. You hit "yes" or "ok" (Not sure which option it gives you) Then, once the device restarts and turns on, the slider will appear and should be already installed automatically. You shouldn't have to do any other additional setting changes after you restart so the slider takes effect.
Hmm I installed all 3 cabs and it just told me "white metal 2.5 2013.cab was successfully installed on your device" (same thing with the other 2) but it didn't prompt me if I wanted to restart the device.
Any ideas why? this blue at&t theme is ok but this B&W Metal theme looks amazing.
Thanks

Two ways to install. One is you first turn off sense
1. start menu
2. settings
3. today screen
4. items
5. uncheck htc sence
6. install cabs
7. and then go back and check htc sense
Or install the cabs and then soft reset
Hello again lubbad85!
Could you do me a little favor and add a facebook icon too? The meltwaters work is really impressive!
Just the sense tab

You just want the sense tab-in other words you already installed the other files neccessary for the tab? So just the tab icons?
If so here is the cab for just the tab sense icons in white to match the set. I cannot test it since I have not installed the control files for this tab.
