Hello to all you wonderful people again.
I used to be able to watch any videos that I had recorded using the htc album player but today I was showing my HD2 off to a friend and couldn't get them to play, black screen with a continuous buzzing sound only. the time bar was moving normaly tho?
Then I tried to use You tube and that came up with an error so I browsed xda-dev and found it to dl. This version is not as slick or laid out as well but it works! But htc album still won't play videos? It seems that neither will win media player, it does exactly the same as the album player but only on videos I've recorded using the phone, all copied videos/films in wmv format play fine?
I was trying to think what I'd dl recently but truth is.... masses....but it was fairly recently that I dl tmcp coreplayer (free version) from this HD2 forum, could that effect the other players?
Any help much appreciated and Thanks in advance.
I'm using std www 1.66 rom and std 2gb micro sd on an unlocked virgin phone/simm.

I feel your pain.......... Ive had this twice now, once after I installed (then uninstalled) core player.
The other time totaly at random, also the music player and ringtone wouldnt work.
Had to hard reset, couldnt find any info on similar problems. There must be something that causes it but I've no idea what that is.........

I find it unusual on these knowledgeable forums, that noone from the dev's has any idea what is causing this or what I can do to rectify it without having to do a full reset??

Ive suffered from this again recently and can still find no reasonable explanation for it.
The fact that we're both on t mobile uk suggests they've ballsed something up!
Are you still using their ROM Tim?
I had to hard reset again... getting used to it now.... its become part of my daily routine

guys I phoned t-mobile and they said that they would send me a new one since I just got the phone, but I am not actually sure if it is worth the hassle, anyways probably it is a software problem rather than hardware, is anyone using other ROM version to the t-mobile one? i.e. the prementioned above.?
Yeah thats the same ROM im using. As far as i know the "ROM update" for tmobile on the htc site is the same as the one thats already on the phone.
Did you guys install a youtube client? iirc this was the reason why video playback failed.
Id wondered about that actually but dismissed it because they've both been running fine together for weeks, it just seems to stop working so randomly.
im using the google youtube app v 2.4.4.
Could it be that it disagrees with something t mobile have done to the phone and thats why it comes without one?

I am having the same problem , it looks like it is the YouTube app, when I removed the YouTube app I could play the videos again through the standard media HTC HD2 media player (Albums and Pictures & Videos apps).
Does anyone know how to get hold of a working YouTube app?
I can just about get it to run in sky wire (great app by the way, credit to these guys).

I've had mine for about a week, and it did not come with the YouTube app, unless it hidden and I have to find it, also I did not get any of the games i.e. guitar hero, etc... again im not sure if was suppose to unlock these, I did not see any information on this in the box.
Feel a bit ripped off, but this is nothing new in the UK.

Well Ive been using the one I previously mentioned alongside windows media player for a few weeks now with no problems. Ill post the cab in case you want to try it. Its the google app v2.4.4

t-mobile uk replaced my phone and I am about to find out if it was actually the utube app that created the problem, the thing is that, the playback problem occured many days after I had installed the utube app on my previous htc hd2. Anyways, it could be just that. My htc hd2 had no preloaded utube app and just one game... probably the rest are hidden ...
P.S. I noticed that the camera on my old htc hd2 was a little bit crooked, i.e. the square was not parallel with the battery cover, probably a minor thing since the camera was fully functional but still once you notice it, you can't forget it...
I can no longer view videos i recorded using the camera and i cannot watch the Transformers movies. I by mistake installed the old version of youtube which i then replace with the original. Someone please help otherwise i would have to reset the phone to factory.
I'm afraid there is not much you can do appart from backing up everything and then resetting... But I am not an expert, maybe you need an expert's opinion on that one...
hey whats up everyone i recently had the same issue im running a different rom on my phone not the stock one i too had the same problem where none of my videos would play not transformers not any of the ones i recorded with the cam nothing i would just get a a buzzing static noise.. well after playing with my phone a bit and reinstalling different programs i came to find out it has something to with POCKET MECHANIC... i think its when i run the registry cleaner.. i havent tried to install any other reg cleaners. but after having not installed POCKET MECHANIC my phone has been working fine now...

Has anyone got tmobile tv to work with either a MDA pro or any other variant with a tmobile sim in it.

I got it working as far as browsing the channels in IE, but on my MDA PRO when you click on a video feed to watch, it launches an app called "streaming video", which is some sort of modified windows media player. Anyway this app always crashes, I tried it on the new Youtube mobile site (m.youtube.com) too and the same result
What I need is a cab file for the latest version of this "streaming video" app, does anyone have this? I don't really want to install one of the newer AKU 3.x or WM6 ROM's as I'm fairly happy with what I have now, even though the T-Mobile ROM I'm using is the very first version that was released...
Also does anyone have a cab file of the latest camera app? The 4GB SD card bug is a bit annoying sometimes

How do you configure Streaming Video? Basically how do you use it? I tried its settings, but there is not much to go from there.
Right now I am using Pocket Live TV, so far it is working great and happy with it. I just wish they had more channels here in the US, especially the latest Cartoon Network Channel, all I get from this channel is OLD re-runs of VERY OLD cartoons. It is great in watching MTV, NEWS, sports, and weather reports though.

What is this TMobile TV? I just switched to TMobile last week. Where can I find the download site? Maybe I can help you investigate. It sounds interesting.

You need media streaming V2.XX to get t-mobile tv to work. the only place i have found this for a universal is on a wm6 rom. but there must be a cab somewhere I guess

Can you guys help me out? Im haveing a problom, I have owned a Q, a Htc touch, and now i made a switch over to the Mogul.
On all these phone i installed Tcpmp and its flash bundle and got them to work on the first try. But for some reason i cant seem to get it to work on my Mogul. Could somebody please upload the correct files? I might be using the wrong ones. Good lookin out, This forum is Ill as F$%K and you guys get super props

Dude, try a google search for the RvBCrS_HTC_Streaming_Media.cab. I have the mogul and tried all of the other options found in the forums to no avail. I finally came across the HTC player and I have had no problems watching videos from youtube mobile. I actually have the cab but got a problem trying to upload here pm me if you want it from me.
Or if you want a better solution, you could just download the program called vtap. It is working great on my Mogul, and its easier to use than TCPMP and Flash plugin (which i used to use). just search vtap on google.
The files you're using are correct, I use the same ones (TCPMP and FlashVideoBundle). What do you mean by not working? Perhaps some specific details would give us more clue on what the problem could be.
when I click on a video it takes me to its comment page. my bundle issent working cause it usually installs a e explorer page with othe compatable sites but that doesent show up.
Here is the ones I have, you can try it out and see how it works, it works great for me but I do have the htc 6800 from alltel not sprint. Just remember to change the file associations in the settings to include mms and http protocol.
Just try to do it all over. Uninstall everything. Install TCMP..then the plugins...then restart ur phone and try it again.
ALOT of people are using the old flash bundle. It wont take much searching but on ppcgeeks there is a newer version. It worked out alot of the kinks and I get flawless youtube and google vid. Make sure you are using the .17 rom as well. The original Sprint rom sucks hudge balls and has tons of problems with video playback.
Here you go. This website updates every time youtube changes its files.

I have the same AT&T Tilt 2 you do...did it work for your phone?
I think this is an issue on many phones, not just the Tilt 2. I work in Technical Support. Customer with a Sprint HTC Hero was unable to use YouTube. Searched forums, many have had the same issue since beginning of Decemebr, give or take a few. I tried on my Tilt 2, got the same exact error as the customer, and all the forums. Got info from Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint users, all with the same issue on Youtube. So this one, I would assume is Youtube, not the phones.
Which ROM are you using?

Hey I'm running the Stock At&T Tilit 2 ROM, and I also ran the CAB first and it didn't work. The Cab seems to be missing a couple registry edits?? Any hoot, I installed a free registry editor on my PC so I could make the registry edits on my PC once synced to the Tilt2 as illustrated in the how to thread. Oh oh when it says change value to [BLANK] it means leave no character in that field....nothing. Oh oh #2, the third edit change requested, on my tilt2 there was 2 identical strings, I made the same changes to both, and BANG! it has played every video requested within 10sec. since I made these changes. It appears that the registry is not updated to the way AT&T does thing now here, because it's pointing the YouTube App to some old dead Cingular site??? Let me know if you need help...sports
A little off topic, but would someone know if there is a way to launch the Tilt 2's youtube app from a link? I usually open youtube links in Skyfire, but if there is a way to open the native youtube app on the Tilt 2, it would be great.

Batterry is ok. it can survive the whole day with some calls, texting & some games. The "decimal point" in the calculator" is there.
I just notice that there is no excel mobile & word mobile. Only open note.

I have tried that rom infact iam replying now from mob installed that rom. And you know its super battery drainer i have plugged my phone to charger to use edge coz if i continue use edge for couple of hours my battery will completely drain. In every few mins i loose one or two battery point.

I also think its the best ROM, but there is one more issue with it, it might not be a big deal for some...but the thing is that...when i try to play a video on its youtube player, it gives me an error messaging saying it cannot play the video....and that happens for all the videos. Tried everything to solve it soft reser, hard reset.
You can install the official youtube app from google but in that app the videos dont play well...the video lags and the sound goes on....
Does anyone have a solution for it.?

I have YouTube problem too.
But somehow I like official YouTube. Video quality is a lot better than Viva original one.

I don't know if I'm the only one crazy enough to actually PAY for a decent media player or not, but the Coreplayer has served me well for quite sometime. It was great on the Treo 700wx and my ol' Touch Pro. It would play damn near EVERYTHING.
Now for some reason, it wont play hardly anything on the HD2! Even stuff that played fine on the TP won't work on HD2. Really cant stand WM Player so would like to get it working (esp since i paid $25 for it). It seems like its playing the movies (time counter moves like it should) but no video shows up... :/
I suspect it has something to with the .NetCF. I tried to put 3.5 on it but the HD2 claims "The version you are trying to install is older than the current version installed" What gives? Anybody even use Coreplayer? I'd give the unlock code to whomever can get it working...so annoyed with this!
