They're PMing every israeli they can find on this forum with phone numbers to buy from. you're all invited to ignore those dumbasses and approach this in a different direction. I would like to get my hands on one as well.. if anyone knows of a way to order it from France or the UK for reasonable prices without having to pay those annoying Israeli 100% tax demands we can have a group purchase and ship it over here.

I can say they are very serious...at least in Portugal.
I buy alot of stuff there and never had problems.

don't know if it is of any use, but www.expansys.com seem to ship all over the world. the price of the HD is 525GBP (around 850USD according to www.xe.com). as for the taxes I know that in some countries pocket pcs can pass as "educational goods" (in the same way that personal computers do) therefore you might not need to pay any import tax (although you might be asked to pay VAT). maybe it's worth checking it, if you haven't already.

Hey, i live in israel too, managed to get a friend to bring me one from the UK which i bought on expansys. With VAT having just got down its also more reasonable now if you know anyone is doing the trip. Only thing is getting the hebrew on it which is proving a pain.

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but I was planning on putting my HTC Touch HD up for sale (planning on buying a HTC Hero ). I've only had it a few months and not used it that much, as I use a work phone the majority of the time. No scratches on screen or phone itself at all. I plan on selling with a variety of applications I have downloaded over the few months. I am thinking of setting the asking price as £300. I was wondering if you thought this was reasonable giving this description.

Thats a pretty good price, you could check what there selling for on Ebay too you may even get offers on here also there is a Marketplace thread you can post on which will draw interest, I wouldnt worry about the being on Orange as people can flash new Roms and not have to use Orange, I would attach Pictures of course.........Good luck, If i didnt have a wife I would buy a second HD from you lol

Price on E-Bay for 'real' sales rather then ones that sell then get re-listed a couple of days later have been dropping pretty consistently.
I'd say £220-£240 is probably a good target price now.

Hi i want to buy the nexus one off this site http://www.cellplususa.com/ but idk if its creditable site or its a scam. I can't find any info from it and I found the site on craiglist. Have you had experience with this site and do you think I should buy? The phone there is only 450.

Here is my suggestion on this:
Ok, research shows that they have not been in business for long at all (like under a week or so).
For this reason, you won't find any information on them.
Are they reputable? Hard to say, but things that would keep ME from buying from them is that their website has absolutely NO contact information at all.
They also don't tell you if the phone is NEW, Refurbished or used. How they are selling them for so much less is beyond me because, as far as I know, Google is not wholesaling them to ANYONE. The only legit way to get it new is through Google's shop.
Just my $0.02...

Either the biggest SCAM on earth...or the absolute worst attempt at a business website on earth...either way, wouldn't give them CC info and stuff..Not a damn chance.

Unless they're using the "loophole" someone else posted about to get the phone for $372 then reselling it for $450.
Do not buy that from that site.

Not enough of a profit margin to make it work TBH, and also, a pain in the but way to get their supply since they will have to get a LOT of people to open and account to get the phone just to cancel.
Either way, I say stay away.

Agreed. $79 is a relatively small price to pay for piece of mind.
If you guys missed this...
There were people in Hong Kong, one of the four countries (wait...Hong Kong is...whatever) got the head start, complaining that when they received their DHL package it was empty inside. So would there be any chance that some people took those phones and sell them damn cheap...?

Not sure about that, but like I said in my original reply, there is NO contact information on the site whatsoever, who would you call if there was an issue?
Also, if those people that had their go missing reported it, Google could Black-List the ESN's and they would be worthless.
SO not worth the risk...

Back in Dec. I bought 2 iphones from cellplususa. I didnt have any issues, in fact im using the phone right now.

So is it worth it to import? Because if I can come up with the money, I'd really like to do that. Then again, I kinda wanna see what will happen here in the US. I wonder if it will be a different version for each carrier again? It doesn't seem like they're making different models.

common man.. didnt you see what they did with the american galaxy s'.. they took out the front camera, they messed up the firmware, removed wifi tethering, put a bunch of crap on it.. you wont get the main roms, youll only get limited and very rare american roms, youll always be behind, and youll have to pay way more to get internet that will be limited, instead of the unlimited cheap internet you get if you have the international version.. the list goes on forever.. did you see the dev support the att/tmobile/verizon/and sprint versions had compared to the international version? go over there right now and check the number of posts in each section.. go with the international, youll end up saving money on internet in the long run anyway
btw checkout mobilecityonline if youre in the US, youll end up paying 699 after tax, after shipping, ect, so 699 out of pocket, and no international hidden charges
plus US isnt expected to get it for another 5 months..

their website says 2-4 day shipping, im hoping 2 but expecting 3.. i dont think anyone will see a 4 day wait unless you live on the country side.. i speak from experience, as ive lived in both the city and the country, and my city address always gets packages earlier than my country side address

I went into 3 different p4u physical stores yesterday and they didn't have any in stock. Guy took my phone number and name, told me he would call me when stock arrives! Just got a phone call today saying they have some in stock in the physical stores but im annoyed because I won't have time to pick it up this weekend will have to get it next week.

These were p4u stores in South London. He told me that the stock has arrived in many p4u stores around London so I can now pick it up from anywhere I want.

I went into a P4U shop in Sheffield today and they had a dummy model on view. I asked if they had any real ones to show me so I could see the interface, the guy went round the back and said they had them in stock (and showed me one in its box) but they couldn't sell it until the 24th!
P4U Croydon has them and can sell them £490. But the other P4U in whitgift centre also has them but not allowed to sell them sim free. But it's £460 there. Still thinking about it. Shall I? .

OMG looks like I found someone from Croydon. The p4u in whitgift centre has them in stock I just got a phone call from them telling me to come down to they can serve me one.

I've been with p4u on contract since back when I bought my n96, never really encountered any problems with them. Do you live in Croydon? Funny how small the world is, lol
