Nexus One!

Just gotta brag a little bit. The cell phone provider I work for is going to be getting the Nexus One in the near future, and I was picked to test it for them! I should be getting it sometime in the next couple weeks (Upper management is ahead of me on the list), and will only get to test it for a week, but none the less I am very excited! Best of all, I get my handset discount again in March, and I know what I will be using it on!

you shouldnt be so happy, once you try the nexus one i know at the end of that week theyll be prying it out of your hands... with no success

Yeah, when my manager came in today to tell me I jumped up and down like a little girl! I was only going to get 4 days, but she is giving me 3 of hers just because. It will be hard for me to give it up, very hard! But I will be able to knowing coming March I will be getting my very own, for whatever the after rebate price! Gotta love good job perks!

I guess there is a positive to every negative.
But i still think its nasty to see that.
This is why i couldn't work in a store lol. Someone came up to me with his pants like that i would laugh and ask if he was serious or was it a prank show. Then get fired for it

I've called 4 Super Centers now and NO ONE knows anything about this phone.
Further more they ALL have stated that they do NOT carry sprint ANYTHING in their stores?
Going to check more info somehwere.

You are going to have a difficult time finding a store that sells Sprint service/phones. Most stores do not carry anything Sprint at all, so you've just got to keep trying to call different stores to find one that does.

Samsungs TV's are pretty good too, but not as good as my kick ass dell streak over here in the UK

I am in the same boat. Dell and AT&T are taking too long to give me any info on release a release date, and AT&T has yet to acknowledge the phone even exist by the way. So I am going with the Captivate as well. It also looks more promising as it will have a giant community to back it up. Plus Samsung is going to release the phone's source code something Dell has yet to do.

Riiggghhhhttt.... I've been following the Streak since it was first seen in December 2009. They've totally blown any PR for this device.
As for Samsung updates - the Captivate has already been rooted and it hasn't even been released! Are you daft? You're a "senior member" on this board and you're going to try to use "software updates" as a detterent? That's what this whole damned site is for! I've loaded so many custom ROMs on my phones from this site it's crazy! Your statements are just plain stupid.

Another thing stupid about the software updates comment - the Streak is shipping with 1.6! At least the Captivate ships with 2.1!
Now tell me, who's going to be waiting on software updates? Maybe you were one of the people that got burned on the Behold 2? By a piece of sh*t, no matter who you buy it from, and you get what you pay for.

Dude shut up, you sound like a b***h you are making us look bad infront of our brothers and sisters across the pond . ATT is not going to over lap two major phone releases. The Galaxy S phone is coming sunday (I think). Dell Streak is the next big release phone on ATT or TMO or both. The release date and more info could be coming out probably next week. ATT is not going to cut the head off of Galaxy S sales either so you are probably looking at a mid Aug release its just common sense if you think about it. Stop whinning and talk about how badarse Lock Stock and two smoking barrels is.

Good things come to those who wait, i saw the streak promos months ago and thought that was exactly what i was waiting for.. but being an adult i could wait.
so we Brits got it a few weeks quicker big wow, normally you guys get everything earlier and CHEAPER! such is life

Not sure if its better to be an early tester with all the bugs or have to wait with nothing but a more polished product.
I am QUITE jealous though of O2's deal where the streak is FREE with a 2 yr contact at $25/mo?! Nothing nearly good when it comes to the states

well, it's 25 pounds, actually -- and that is data only. For a data and voice contract, it's £35 -- which is over $50 per month!

Still even at $50/mo for a FREE Streak thats an amazing deal compared to anything in America. We will have to either buy it subsidized for $199 and pay $70/mo for 2 yrs or buy it unlocked for $500 and pay $50/mo anyways

While it requires 2 year contract but also available to existing customers who want to add an existing line. Those on individual plans may realize monthly savings switching to the promotional family plan they also got going. Maybe get one for your wife, girlfriend, as insurance when for when you do something stupid, etc. These should (hopefully) also have the corrected GPS hardware as well.
Let's try not to let this thread devolve into a discussion about how the phone isn't actually free. I'm just trying to help / make sure people that would be otherwise unaware, are aware. Plus, I just love plugging my favorite phone ever whenever I can.

According to the TMO CSR, it's a 20-day return policy when purchased over the web. As this is available online only, this is the case.

Yeah, I read that rumor as well. It either will or won't come to fruition. However, if it's only to add HSPA+ then I don't care. If it has an FFC too, I'd care more but enough. If they add HDMI out though then I'd probably care. Either way, it might still ship with v2.1 Eclair. LOL! There's also a waiting period for support by devs for any new phones even at XDA.

In the opinion of you folks who own this phone... worth using my upgrade for? I have a MyTouch Slide now, but I'm itching for something else. I was leaning toward the Nexus S, but this is about $200 cheaper. And seems close enough hardware wise where I would be happy with it.

After a bit of back and forth with myself, I decided to go for it. If I don't like it, I still have my Slide and will send the Vibrant back. Yippee!

Pretty good deal. I love how they advertise the picture of a white i9100 for the front and the back of the real Note lol. But I've bought from them and they're legit, but my keyboard box was all beat up, the keyboard was pristine. It took them about 1-2 weeks for my keyboard order to arrive, I believe as there is so much demand for the things they sell.

Dude, ive been married almost 3 years now and I know the work-around for your issue. You order it and when it shows up at your door and she sees it you say: "baby, summer is almost here. I got this for you so you can relax by the pool and read a nice book, or listen to music, or even watch a movie if you'd like" The she gives you a big hug and a kiss and when she gets tired of the damn thing its all yours.
PS: replace pool with balcony/backyard if no pool is available.

Hmm, the description mentions LTE, is that for some other system or are they just wrong? I live in Indianapolis and I believe LTE has rolled out here already so I'd kinda like to have it on my next phone.
