No prob, I replace the stock one on every ROM I flash because stock volume sucks.
does this only increase the earpiece volume or does it also increase the speaker phone volume

Hi Bruce, just a quick tip - why not replace the stock one on the ROM BEFORE flashing it? See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377514. It's a great program!

Thanks for the tip Mitsi.
Looks interesting and certainly easier than dumping into a kitchen.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?

We do not know what you have tried so far.
Have you tried using the scroll wheel when you are on a call (ie once you are connected to the other person)

You are correct. You could flash a ROM with the volume parameters set louder or try a bit of cooking yourseld:

Can one of you kind people tell me the size of the file "\Windows\HTC-QuietlyBrilliantBoot.wav"?
I've done a cab that replaces it with a "silent but tiny" one (to kill the bootsound), but if the original's not that big then I'll do a cab that gets rid of it from the registry instead (so we've still got the original file on our devices).
Thanks in advance
So far, over 20 people have read this and not 1 can just check a file size for me???
It's 861.53KB (882210 bytes).
861~4 KB

Cheers guys. Guess I'll leave the cab the way it is then.
Thanks
I already have a cab that disables this?
Any chance you could place a link to your cab in this thread John?

Cheers mate.
I was considering redoing it so it just edits the registry to stop the bootup sound, but since the wav file is nearly a meg in size, I've decided that the one that's already out there is better as it frees up some ROM. Not much, admitedly, but "every little helps"
Edit:
Here's a link for the cab file...

Cheers guys.
cab runs fine, normal HD2 boot up now!!
Hello, you can also use advanced config tools to disable boot sound . I try to find how to listen the entire wav sound when the phone starts .When i listen HTC-QuietlyBrilliantBoot.wav with media player , it's longer than the boot wav ...
This crappy sound vanished on my phone without any tweak... The only thing, that could be responsible for that is a reg-tweak that disables the sounds while changing the volume... well, I'm not missing that crappy sound - it sounded like an old GameBoy
HTC-QuietlyBrilliantBoot.wav
can you guys share the file, i dont have it on the Topix 3.5
**Note to self to download cab**
I didn't have the boot up sound on 1.44 but when i went to 1.66 it was there!
It also cuts out slightly as it writes 'brilliant'
Does anyone elses do that (or did that)

Hi John,
works like a charm on my HD2. Thanks!!!
Good job, THX.
hi all,
does anyone know how to raise the incall volume ?
thanks
I use the volume key to adjust the incall volume,
do you have a problem with everyone who calss or just a paticular person, cause if so it could be their phone not yours.
otherwise you could wear a hearing aid lol

These are some tweaked AudioPara3.cvs files that will boost the volume parameters. There are 3 levels to choose from, the high level will distort through the speaker so it is best not to run at 100% volume on this file.
Just copy to windows folder and replace existing.
You may want to make a copy of your original first.

Use Resco explorer, Total Commander or similar.
I did Many searches before posting this question so...Is there a file, Reg edit or .cab that will let me raise the volume on my HD2 like I was able to on my TP2 by replacing the AudioPara3.csv file? I have the T-mo version if thats any help.. Thx...Tj

Hmm anyone? US T-Mobile HD2 raise volume...Tj
I find it annoying that if my phone is on vibrate or silent, i have to manually turn off the volume in some apps...like the volume switch isn't a global control.

if your looking for something to add extra volume of the sound especially when using the original headset of hd2, nobody can answer you; i just posted this "volume increase" but up to now i still does'nt have a reply.
Hmm Double BOO ...Tj
This solution increases:
MICROPHONE VOLUME
IN-CALL VOLUME
SPEAKER VOLUME
RINGTONE VOLUME
MUSIC PLAYER VOLUME
and has been tested and working 100%
I've decided to share a ONCE-AND-FOR-ALL solution for all the X2 users and the general population of windows mobile users.
Here's the solution:
First, you need totalcommander. Google it.
1) Open TotalCommander
2) Go to ftp\\registry\HKCU
3) Change ALL the following to the value specified:
HKCU/Control Panel\Phone\vol\65535 (General volume of the X2 including microphone input!)
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall/Initvol\5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/System/5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Attentuation\All to 5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall/InitVol\5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/InitVol\5
4) Soft-reset
5) Press the volume up key and set it to the 5th indicator (Max)
6) Press volume up key 1 more time, and you will hear an additional beep 200% louder and the indicator marker remains the same at the 5th marker on the top. This means you have sucessfully tweaked your volume!
6) Do step 5 again with in-call and congrats!
Enjoy your beloved X2 =)
I am satisfied with the default volume levels and will leave it as is.
Do note people, increasing output levels beyond the specified levels can damage your speakers!
sounds good. is it possible for someone to make a registry file of this? so we can just run it and it does it all for us noobs lol. (like the sd card fix)
although im not sure i need to increase the microphone input level, is it possible to leave that out.
Couldn't get totalcomander to work!!!! Which file did you download? It says if you have a touchscreen to download the pocket pc version...Did you download the installer or just the cab files? Thanks.

Hi, would you mind clarifying this value/number. In the first value my default is 65535... are you saying that this value should just be '5'. Not 55555?
thanks

If your capable of making a cab file for this, trust me a lot of people will be happy and appreciate it.

You dont have to use totalcommander. Since it is a registry tweak, you can use a simple Registry Editor that you can download from Windows Marketplace for free
Bro.
I think if the cab file available, it more pleasure like audiopara cab file

No changes to my xperia x2 either..
I've been dealing with low volume issue of WM since my O2 atom but not for my Samsung Valencia (c6625), so I just copied all samsung's ringtones and alarms from my valencia and use it in my X2, hahaha . they are sound nicer and louder! SE could have done much much better providing us lots of (nice and loud) ringtones just like samsung did.
i have found a program that increases your volume
Many Many Many thanks to HS_LuKa_ i want to tell that the application is perfect and sound is very loud and if u receive error when run it first time just restart the phone ,
thanks again HS_LuKa_
