incall volume - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

hi all,
does anyone know how to raise the incall volume ?
thanks

I use the volume key to adjust the incall volume,
do you have a problem with everyone who calss or just a paticular person, cause if so it could be their phone not yours.
otherwise you could wear a hearing aid lol

These are some tweaked AudioPara3.cvs files that will boost the volume parameters. There are 3 levels to choose from, the high level will distort through the speaker so it is best not to run at 100% volume on this file.
Just copy to windows folder and replace existing.
You may want to make a copy of your original first.

Ok well I found the solution, if someone is interested here is what you need to do :
found the solution for htc s730 and those who don't have the registry key acoustic....:
copy both files AudioPara4_FR.csv and AudioPara3.csv to PC
change the F25 line replacing 409 by 4000.
Copy files to SD card
Copy with total commander to windows directory and remplace existing...
Worked for me !
cheers.

I found similar files from the X1 and tried to change some of the values without luck.
To me it seems though that those files control all audio output levels to different kind of devices you plug on your X1...
Here are the files if someone wants to take a look.
I have this problem with the loudspeaker. It's just too low to hear, for example, Tom Tom's instructions. Would this mod affect the speaker volume too you think?
I think by finding the right values on those files, all of the different device volume values can be adjusted. I dont know about any registry tweaks, but if someone has some ideas please share...
well i posted earlier on same issues but no reply..
anybody could well help out if you knw any tweaks..even the sound calls of the ringtone is soft..
Open the files in notepad on your pc, not in excel...
is it true that X1's speaker suck and nothing can be done about it?
In Coreplayer you can select Pre-amp in the Equalizer, set hit higher to your liking.
Actually I tested this with a Nokia mono handsfree and it worked with a normal volume, so my problem has to do with the HF and not the X1...

very low in call volume

Hi,
I have seen a couple of threads about how the volume through the headphones is far too loud, and yes I agree.
however, I have found that the volume from the speaker during a call is far too low. I remember having the same problem on my TP which was fixed with a new file copied into the windows directory (audio parameters file). Is there a similar fix for the HD?
Am I the only one who finds the volume too low? means that in a semi noisy environment (eg in a car) I can't clearly hear the other person.
thanks
when in a call, have you tried turning the volume up?
thanks but i'm not totally daft. the volume is non full
Use hdtweak, it can boost the volume!
Actually I noticed a problem. Each time I reboot the device, the incall volume is also reset. I have to increase it again. Windows is not saving this setting?? Anybody else experiencing the same thing ?!

this is what i use on my HD and it works well for me. i have my in call volume set to about 70% of max. make a copy of your AudioPara.3.csv file. it's located in the Windows folder. after you've copied the file, unzip the attached file and copy to the Windows folder. you'll need something like Total Commander or Resco Explorer to copy the file. soft reset your phone and see if it your volume improved. i have to mention the usual disclaimer here: you do this at your own risk!. i've been using on my HD for 4 months without a problem. let us know if this helped your in call volume.

How to increase earpiece sound via registry???

I have tried to search but no avail, Can someone PLEASE guide me / Navigate me about how can I increase the earpiece sound.
I am using VOIP on my Diamond, the problem is that I have to plug the earpiece to listen the next person, even though the incoming voice is still soo low, I have read some time ago on this same forum that you can increase the earpiece sound strength through the registry, BUT HOW (what key, where).
I have tried the buit-in equalizer software but that seems to only work with songs not for telephone conversation.
Any help please
Regards
Sid
hi sidd u need to go to HKCU-control panel-sound categories- in call. set initial volume to 4.......
Hi there,
I would also like to have higher volume using earpiece - although up to now I thought pressing VolUp while in call was the max one could get...
Do you have more infos about these reg-settings? In SoundCategories I have:
InCall -> InitVol = 2
InCall2 -> InitVol = 5
InCall3 -> InitVol = 4
thx
hey let those values stay the same just change in call.... dont forget to soft reset....

If any one has a better solution, PLEASE post!!!!
Updated version of the file for the people who thought the old file was too loud. in the new file below i have 3 versions. low volume, medium, and loud. hope this solves everyones problems. tell me what u think.
I was having trouble hearing people when i was in a noisy area. i thought it was my service and tried my other phone and found out that it was my new diamond 2
I found this cab below. to install all u need to do is
1st find ur original audiopara3 file in \Windows folder and make a backup( copy it to ur sd card or somthing
2ndextract the cab (u can do it on ur computer using winzip and coping it to ur phone or u can do it on ur phone
3rd u have to put it in the \windows folder
4th if u use windows file explorer u need to change the name from (copy of Audiopara3 to Audiopara3)
now restart ur phone and test it.
ur volume should be really loud now!!!
adjust the volume to ur liking
it worked for me
If there is any problems please tell me
Is it only for in-call earpiece volume or total system volume increase with this cab ??
it increases overall volume just a little bit but it increases the earpiece volume by alot. u still can change how loud the volume is with the volume control
thanks did work...
I have the same issue and would be very happy if this could solve my problem but... I get an 'Access denied' message when I try to paste. Is the windows folder locked or what?
try using total commander. when copying it with total commander make sure u erase the litte stars. so it should copy to \Windows\
erase anything else infront of the windows. tell me if it worked
try using total commander. makesure u copy it to \windows\
when copying it with total commander it adds stars**(somthing like that) just erase those so it read \windows\
tell me if it worked or more instructions
Great !!!! work for me
Thank you shayan.k
glad that it worked
It realy works, great work. But sound is not so clear as with old file. (volume is not at maximum value and I can hear echoes) Thanx for any advice.
hope the new file helps
When I download the "NEW volume.rar" there are 3 folders after extraction:
"loudest+distortion", "low" and "mid". the "low" folder is empty and the other two each contain a file called "AudioPara3.csv".
I apologize if it's a dumb question (kinda new to WinMO) but aren't they supposed to be .cab files?
lo/rez
no its not supposed to be a cab. you have to manually copy the file from the folder. i would recommend mid but if the incall volume is still not loud enough then try the loudest and paste it in the windows folder using total commander. once that is complete copy the csv file again but this time do it using file explorer. after file explorer copies it you will notice that the file has been renamed to (copy of Audiopara3.csv) just rename it and delete the (copy of) part
Hi
Note that for hearing safety the phone is deliberately limited to the maximum volume it will go to. If you are in a loud environment and can't hear the caller when the phone is turned to maximum volume you need to move somewhere quieter.
Upping the volume and defeating the safety limit could mean you are damaging your hearing and you will also be leaving yourself open to acoustic shock, where a loud noise or static from the other caller will be like a gun going off next to your ear. Damage caused now will surface years down the line as permanent hearing loss.
You may also burnout or damage the earpiece and amplifier in the phone.
Regards
Phil

Oh, now I get it, thanks!
My problem is that the sound is too loud when i put my phone on speaker, so I'd then have to adjust the volume level to minimum for a pleasant speaker volume. When I then again put the phone off speaker, the volume level is too low so I have to up the volume again (to max normally).
When I use the provided audiopara3.csv, provided in this thread, both speaker and ear volume will be higher. I just want the speaker volume a little lower with respect to the ear volume, or preferrably a higher ear volume with the same speaker volume.
Can someone help me with this problem?
P.S. When you haven't previously modified your audiopara3.csv, there is no reason to make a backup. Because it's stored in ROM. So when you delete the edited audiopara3.csv file, the original file from ROM will be restored.

I never particularly had a problem with low ear piece volume but suddenly today I cannot hear through the ear piece at all. I must now either use the wireless headset or the loud speaker. Anyone had this experience before?

It just happened and I was looking for a solution. I suspect a hardware failure but I can hope...
Try a hardreset and see if it works

[TESTED 100% WORKING]Increase ALL of your X2's volume by 200%!!

This solution increases:
MICROPHONE VOLUME
IN-CALL VOLUME
SPEAKER VOLUME
RINGTONE VOLUME
MUSIC PLAYER VOLUME
and has been tested and working 100%
I've decided to share a ONCE-AND-FOR-ALL solution for all the X2 users and the general population of windows mobile users.
Here's the solution:
First, you need totalcommander. Google it.
1) Open TotalCommander
2) Go to ftp\\registry\HKCU
3) Change ALL the following to the value specified:
HKCU/Control Panel\Phone\vol\65535 (General volume of the X2 including microphone input!)
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall/Initvol\5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/System/5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Attentuation\All to 5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/InCall/InitVol\5
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/InitVol\5
4) Soft-reset
5) Press the volume up key and set it to the 5th indicator (Max)
6) Press volume up key 1 more time, and you will hear an additional beep 200% louder and the indicator marker remains the same at the 5th marker on the top. This means you have sucessfully tweaked your volume!
6) Do step 5 again with in-call and congrats!
Enjoy your beloved X2 =)
I am satisfied with the default volume levels and will leave it as is.
Do note people, increasing output levels beyond the specified levels can damage your speakers!
sounds good. is it possible for someone to make a registry file of this? so we can just run it and it does it all for us noobs lol. (like the sd card fix)
although im not sure i need to increase the microphone input level, is it possible to leave that out.

You dont have to use totalcommander. Since it is a registry tweak, you can use a simple Registry Editor that you can download from Windows Marketplace for free
Bro.
I think if the cab file available, it more pleasure like audiopara cab file

No changes to my xperia x2 either..
I've been dealing with low volume issue of WM since my O2 atom but not for my Samsung Valencia (c6625), so I just copied all samsung's ringtones and alarms from my valencia and use it in my X2, hahaha . they are sound nicer and louder! SE could have done much much better providing us lots of (nice and loud) ringtones just like samsung did.
i have found a program that increases your volume
Many Many Many thanks to HS_LuKa_ i want to tell that the application is perfect and sound is very loud and if u receive error when run it first time just restart the phone ,
thanks again HS_LuKa_
