Resize photos to send with mail... - HD2 General

Hi, can you tell me how you can resize the pictures taken to send as an attachment to email? For example, it's possible to resize at 800x600? I find this function only for sending via MMS but not send by e-mail. Possible?

i'd like this too...

Guys, you should install resco photo manager. Its a brilliant photo viewer, very finger friendly, supports pinch to zoom etc.....and it also lets u resize images to foward for emails wait.............
Just checked,it doesnt let you resize it to 800x600 but it does give options for other sizes eg 240x320 240x400 480x640 480x800 & 960x1600.

Animated GIF using Photo Contacts caller ID

Hi all,
I noticed it is possible to use an animated GIF as an image using Photo Contacts.
The default animation when somebody calls (the yellow-orange phone image) seems an animated GIF to me, but I wasn't able to find it in the file system.
I thought, using this image as a Photo ID, I am able to increase the font size of the caller notification window used by Photo Contacts.
Does anybody knows where to find this image (if possible), or knows a good animated GIF replacement to use whith Photo Contacts?
the orginal files/gifs can be found at
\My Documents\IA Caller ID Photos
the .DEF files are renamed gif files...
Thanx alot!
font size
Can you tell us in details how you managed to change the caller id font size?

Click to collapse
Start menu > Programs > Photo Contacts
Then, for every contact, set the background image to whatever image (I renamed the CONTACTS.DEF file to a contacts.gif file), and associate every contact with this image.
Then you can specify the Caller ID format, including font, size and color
It is a workaround, but it works for me

[Q] Pictures to fit HD2 screen...HELP!

Hey guys I'm new here i have tried looking on the web to solve my problem but no luck...is there a way to fit pictures you transferred from your computer to fit the HD2 screen.
You could use an editing program such as Photoshop or Gimp to resize your pics to the right resolution. Photbucket can resize as well.
480x800 for portrait, or 800x480 for landscape
If what you're trying to do is get the image to also cover the taskbar and softkey bar (top and bottom of the screen), you'll need a tool such as CHT to work that magic for you.
I just used Paint.
Use the wallpaper.hellaphone. com/phone/HTC_HD2 to resize your images. Cheer
Thanks ill try them out and get back to you guys
Best free image editing program EVER is paint.net. Nuff said.
Thanks they all worked but I went with paint.

[Q] Why wont camera pictures fit wallpaper?

This is real frustrating!!! Why would they make a camera that dont fit the wallpaper size, and how do i resize it? (Same for images i saved from the internet)
try using pinch to zoom...
I tried that. It will only put part of the picture as the wallpaper. The pictures are to big
Non of the camera resolutions are exact for the screen. You just got to crop its da only way. Or you can transfer the pic to computer, resize the whole pic to the resolution of screen than use it.
