upgrade/downgrade spl with S-ON ?

Hi,
I've currently the following setup
SAPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-ON H
HBOOT 1.33.2010
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
My phone is currently having an issue to recognise the SD card and i've received a method to somehow fix this but i need to upgrade in SPL version 1.76.2007
My question:
I don't want to stay at this version and revert back to 1.33.2010. WIll it be possible to downgrade it if i have this flag S-ON ????

Rooting Magic 32B

I have been reading abit on gaining root access on this phone and here is my progress so far:
I have a Vodafone New Zealand HTC Magic 32B running Android v1.6 with the following SPL in the fastboot screen:
sapphire unknown 32b ship s-on g
hboot-1.33.0007 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-2.22.19.26I

I have managed to create a goldcard and apply this engineering spl (Engineerings SPL v1.33.2010 - ROM v2.53.707.2) by Amon_RA in hboot.
After rebooting, the splashscreen has changed to HTC and I now have Android v1.5. Everything went well, so I thought until I went back to fastboot to check on the SPL

As you can see it is now s-off h where it should be g?
And the radio is now 3.22.20.17.
I understand I have messed up by applying the wrong SPL. I tried to fastboot "recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.6.2G.img", it hangs at the HTC magic splashscreen.
My questions:
What should one do to obtain s-off g and the appropriate radio?
Should one:
apply a different SPL, say 1.33.2004? < I think this is a google phone engineering SPL?
Or:
Change the radio following Amon_RA Revert to 32B Radio and ROM instructions?
The whole point of me gaining root access is to store applications on the sdcard and have a clean fast ROM.

You had to flash a 32A to your 32B device because you were using a perfected SPL, 1.33.0007. The next step would be to REVERT back to 32B.

Phone stuck on RUU mode

Here are my fastboot things at the top of the screen.
Sapphire PVT 32A Ship S-ON H
HBOOT 1.76.0008
CPLD-10
Radio 6.35.08.29
I installed try to install the sense ui rom update from htc site, it failed and now its stuck on the RUU mode screen. I had created a goldcard but it gets stuck when its unzipping the SYSTEM part of the ROM. Is there anyone who can help?

Phone Won't Boot No recovery...

Kinda need help my phone won't boot into a rom and its perfected SPL so I cant fastboot flash

trying a 1.5 .nph file now but so far I've tried a few and was unable to recover sais cid is incorrect..
any ideas? I have no recovery and no rom

You have to find a sappimg for your specific advice. Or make a goldcard
