Swype is already preloaded.
When you go to a text message next to the little keyboard there is an arrow. Hit that and you can chose swype one it.
ive tried tht its just says full qwerty and nothing else is working
you are in the t mob us thread yet you txt speak like a brit. please confirm what phone you have?

hello dudes, i ve solved this ****ty ringing problem. now he rings as very normal, no haywire, and i also ve found a solution for freezing on sms recieve.
1- install SPB pocket plus v3.0 and siable its today PLUG-IN from the Today menu in setings.
2- in the settings of the Pocket PLUS, go to the close button exceptions, and add the following, to it
1- Poutlook.exe
2- tmail.exe
3- Wmplayer
3 install photo contacts pro, let it be your ringtone manager, you can assign to this program any kind of ringtone u would dream of.
add (photocontacs.exe) to the exceptions list.
4- reset the phone
eversince ive done that i havent really found any type of problem no hanging, no delayed rings
and just for the record, im using the Qtek 9000 rom, i downloaded it directly from the www.qtek.nl site and i upgraded to radio 1.04
thas all, hope i helped solving some problems guyz. i love this forum, cuz it has helped me alot i wish i can just help everybody back
Can you please let meknow where exactly you see the QTEK ROM on the www.qtek.nl I also have an account there and can not see anything. Maybe it is because I registered a Qtek S110 ?? and not the 9000 ?

its just the very same version thas here on the FTP site of XDA developers.
its nothing diffrent, u dont have to have a special login, u can just get it fromt the XDA ftp.

I know it is the same it is just interresting why you are able to find it on www.qtek.nl and me not. BTW it does not matter which device you register @ www.qtek.nl since I am able to see all the other devices ROMs onle by the 9000 I see no ROM file.

When you bought the device,did you have a CD called ROM update utility or something like that? I have it with my Dopod.
hmm no i dont think so, but i can search my hundred cds
I found a cd with varios programms but no rom update utility so far.
Perhaps you could also advice me how to backup the original rom and install it if possible.
I know somebody else with a ameo. perhaps he can help.

Wrong vender id error. I need the original german rom to restore my machine and i think then i can update it.

So yes, as he just said, it WILL work for your phone. There's a fix for your keyboard after flashing somewhere on XDA. That's all that's different for you two.

No. The Herald and the Tmobile Wing are almost identical except for their keyboards. If you have a Herald, flash a herald ROM. If you flash a Wing ROM, then some keys won't be mapped correctly but everything else will work fine.
Hello there i have 1 more thing that i was jailbreaking my HTc g1 and got successfully back to old os but my problem is that i can't skip sign-in process ... i live in Pakistan and its from Uk....so cant use t-mobile network here ... can i jailbreak ...i hav wifi access but can not enable it from G1 .. plz help me ... is there is any way to get jailbreak offline ?? or i have to unroot it??? plzzzzzzz ppls help needed badly..

I would use the latest OpenEclair or KingKlick AOSP 2.1 v1.9 but if I was you I would stick to android 1.6 and use the latest Super D ROM. But if you want to use OpenEclair or the AOSP 2.1 ROM you need to have the DANGER SPL.
Here are some tips to help you on XDA:
1) When you "hack" an android device it is called ROOTING not JAILBREAKING.
2) Use proper english with at least decent grammar.

Sorry Jamb, xda can be a bit of an asshole. Here is a good guide on bypassing the google sign in. Like the other guy said, OE and King's v1.9 are good for 2.1 roms, but don't have the speed of 1.6 roms, and they are missing some things (camcorder, etc).
@UberMario ..... sorry for my english...i have jailbreaked many iphones so everytime my mind says rooting and my finger types jailbreaking.sorry again...well i was now able to bypass the google sign screen now the 1 thing remains that i m not able to ROOT it like i got the telnet and its says connection error and also at another site a dude ....theunlockr mention another rooting process but i m not able to compelete it ..how can i root it any other way??

i found them on youtube and i send my phone to them
have in mind that they sell products for fixing phones but is expensive
so i asked them if they want to help and fix
and they did a very good job
what you guys need to do is mail them and see how much is the shipment
for me it was more expensive to pay the shipment than to pay the phone repair

well your in luck , is not briked if it starts up , what you need to do is run a task 29 , then reflash your phone with a energy rom , that is what i use and is very good , good luck , let me know how it goes .
My phone stays on the htc screen and doesn't do anything else. I performed a Task 29 last night. And it did this to my htc hd 2 phone now it doesn't want to turn on I mean it does but it stays on the Stck Together screen. Should I call T-Mobile and get a new phone ? What should I do ?

well if your phone is in guaranty yes you can tell them that one day it just got stuck , don't mention anything about you trying to flash a rom ore that you played with it!!!! cuz they will not exchange anything.
BUT you can try this : get a Energy ROM from t-mobile hd2 rom development and flash it . if you dont know the proper steps please read posts with instructions how to properly flash it ,
after this if you did everything rite your phone should be ok .
i repeat if you phone dose turn on even if is an error ore it gets stuck , is still working and is not briked . so you can still fix it you self . if it dose not turn on no led no nothing then is briked , contact me if you have other questions

ok i have done the task 29... i was really excited , i had this feeling it was going to work... but after the install i tryed putting a rom in ( an energy rom like u recommended) n it frizzes during the loading bar... i have tryed many time n it stops after a few loads... for example .. sometimes it goes to 24% n stops,... then i tryed again . it stoped at 56% ... n i kept on trying n it stops on various percentages what can be the problem??? plz help cuz i cant even use my phone at all

ok i have just tryed tht n it still freezes at different percentages...n no when i first got it i got it to flkash without anyproblem... n then an update came out for the energy rom so i decided to update after the update it worked for a few days or weeks n then it decided to keep freezing n all so i tryed a new rom n thts when it stops working now... n when i mean stop working i mean it stops the process in nthe middle or so

1. Try re-starting the computer.
2. Charge your HD2 fully
3. Format an microSD card and try installing the image from SD Card
