ROM with the Nexus launcher, with the camera and everything working?
or are there any out there that I can't find?
I will donate.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655171
i believe that one has it.
why don't you just download DC v2.05 then go into the themes forum for it and download all the updates that you want there and apply them? Or you could just download one of the 2.1 roms out there and goto that same themes page and apply some of those updates to achieve this rom that you are wanting. Most of the 2.1 roms that are out now are pretty stable and have all if not most of the apps working on them.

fresh 2.0d has it, and works great... everything works. after install, go to market and get home switcher, then use it to change default to home, and voila! nexus launcher with flying icons
Do you want just the nexus launcher??? or do you want a full functioning AOSP 2.1 like running on the nexus one?

I'd like a ROM with the Nexus launcher with the 3D rollout effect. I found just the apk for that launcher but doesn't work

If you do this, can you go back to AWD? I have never tried Launcher and thought that I would give it a try....
Thanks in advance!

ADW and LauncherPro (which I think is the best launcher) are both available in the market for free.
Oh, and just in case you didn't know, Launcher2 is the default Froyo launcher. Its what the Nexus One uses. You can make LauncherPro look just like it if you want and its WAY faster than Launcher2.

If you are using Ti Backup, you can just Freeze ADW and use Launcher Pro. Then you don't lose it.
No need to freeze. Just install LauncherPro and when you hit the Home button, it will ask you which Launcher you wanna use.

Thanks for the advice. I am currently running the LauncherPro and like it. It is pretty nice. My phone is acting a little funny and has been all day. I updated from kaos v30 to v32 this morning. v30 was my first mod (coming from the ota 2.1).
ADW kept on failing.... so now on the LP and it seems more stable. It has failed twice and I had to restart.... I am not sure what is causing this, I hope that it settles down soon.

Looks like not. I've tried few times, but in vain.
btw if you'll root with unrevoked software nothing will happen. the only thing is to backup contact list etc.

I didn't think their was a version of unrevoked that worked with the OTA Froyo update which my mum installed :S
That's true. You can't root your mum's phone just yet even if you wished to.
Well, you are out of luck unfortunately, atleast for the time being.
Oh well :/ I'll just wait and hope for someone to do some magic and root 2.2
Well, as per Unrevoked's latest tweet, they are pretty close (Maybe)

Does anyone have the actual launcher for the nexus s that doesn't look low res on eg22. I usually use the eugue373 gingerbread launcher from the market but it looks low Res for some reason. I know it was like that on ef02 and marcusant had it working correctly. Any thoughts?
There are two gingerbread launchers on the market. You might try the other one.
Just use Sprint ID. Search for the "Clean" ID and apply it. It will give you the *real* Gingerbread launcher.

No, it only gives you the gingerbread phone icon and app drawer. Id icon is still on the tab.
Bumping this.
Does anyone have a clue how to make the reg aosp launcher work correctly. Marcusant has the only rom that uses it. His Bamboozled roms use it as well and it looks great. I've even tried pulling the apk from his rom and just installing it on other ef02 eg22 roms, it works but looks like crap.
Not trying to be a troll or anything but AFAIK the only difference between the Sprint ID launcher and the standard launcher is the Sprint ID icon that cannot be changed, the menu and desktop UI is the same.

I probably should have stated I tried the actual nexus launcher from another thread on here. As well as the 7 homescreen launcher, same issue. Very strange. I'm sure it's something minor causing it. I think I may just ask marcusant on acs's site.

bonsai b14. I'll get it a shot again though. I'll try flashing again though, I have it on my sd, but who knows, maybe I flashed the same one again. I'll let ya know
Just flashed it, very cool with 7 homescreens. Still does the same thing though. It's not super terrible looking, it's just the icons when you hit the drawer, they show up and they are like low res looking. It's been discussed before and marcusant said he knew how to fix it. I'm going to see if I can just get any info out of him on the acs forum.

Dude! Thanks you so much. Worked like a charm. Awesome.
the post says it's for 2.3.4, so i'm not sure if it works on 2.3.3... i'm in the midst of cooking up my own rom.
If someone could test and let me know, i'll probably package the launcher and 3d fix up for flashing.

EH17 is 2.3.4, though... Was wondering about 2.3.3
I'm sure someone will test on other builds... All good.
Not sure. But at one point I attempted to pull the system/lib/egl folder from marcusant's anonymous i3 ROM (it had a working stock launcher) and replace it on eh06, didn't work. Ai3 was 2.3.3. But I was trying to put it in a 2.3.4 ROM. Needless to say I don't know what I'm doing. But maybe that folder from Ai3 will work do for all other ef02 roms if this zip doesn't.
Out of curiousity. Now that we have this. Does anyone a zip of the actual nexus s launcher. I'm using one I found on here but its not completely stock. When you go into landscape mode it turns into the froyo launcher.

Just for kicks, i went and downloaded a Nexus S Stock ROM... Come to find out that the landscape view on it is Froyo look aswell. The GB Launcher on the market seems to just be a slimmed down version. I'll zip the fix and launcher up and post in Themes.
Oh that's super weird but it makes sense cuz of the lack of a keyboard. Good stuff though.
Hey XDA!,
I have tried a couple of NAND ICS roms on my HD2. The nexus HD2 by tytung and icecreamtosti. Plus i think i tried one with dorimanx kernel. Anyways, all the roms seem to lag on my fone. They work fine but as compared to the gingerbread roms, they are not smooth or as fast. They seem to be a bit slow. I flashed the correct partition sizes and later even partitions that were 10 or 15mb greater than required to allow for bad NAND blocks.
Anything else i can do to make these roms equally as smooth as the gingerbread roms or do i have to wait for furthur develpment?
Thanks,
Adil

The launchers are for some reason laggy. Try GO Launcher, Launcher Pro or ADW (any launcher not based on ICS basically) and they're buttery smooth (much faster than GB). I've found messaging, contacts, dialer and browser to me much faster than CM7 and pretty much the only app I would consider to be slow is the Music app. The phone also lags hugely whilst playing music.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have Nova and Apex also installed (as well as Trebuchet) and I keep hoping that in the next update I see the launcher won't lag, but sadly it always does. Still, GO Launcher is actually the most functional launcher I've found, even if it eats a fair amount of RAM.

I used that theme on CM7 but it really doesn't give a full ICS interface without the 'card stack' transitions, and really that's all I wanted. The app drawer is really very good on ICS, but unfortunately none of the non-ICS launchers seem to be able to mimick that. I personally prefer the GO Launcher symbols on the dock though, seem more polished for some reason

The Xperia Home launcher found in this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675639
I was utterly amazed when I found this launcher on here.
I extracted it using Titanium Backup, Flashed MikG 3.11, installed Xperia Home and pushed to system apps.
This works very well in unison with the Car-O-Dope tweak as the launcher is quick and smooth to begin with.
I was looking for launchers like A month ago and someone recommended sslaincher and I have fell in love with it I use to be a go launcher Guy but sslaincher is the most customizable launcher you can pretty much make your home screens anyway you want them in any which way if you can imagine it you can do it
