My backup of xdaII mini english rom is accidentally deleted after fresh to dopod 818 CHS rom. I can't download the rom from O2 website because they say my rom is up-to-date. Can anyone do me a favour and help me ?

And how do you back up the ROM, may I ask ?
I have a Taiwan Dopod 818 and would like to flash it to English ROM because most of contact are in English and Traditional Chinese contact are too hard to look up... any suggestions ?
There is a lot of discussion about backup of your rom at this forum. You can use search to obtain the result. :lol:

Really ? The chinese version of xdaII mini was launched only few days in HK. I believe the rom in my friend's mini is updated one so I disappointed.
If you are right, do you get one ? any fix to voice quality ? where can I obtain the updated version to test ?

Oh, I discover that what you mean is the version of ext rom, yes you are right, the version of ext rom is 1.03.174CHT

May I know how I can get the english ROM too? I don't know how to access the FTP site.
I want to flash my device as I believe my poor battery performance could be due to a bad ROM...

We need expert to customize the rom to be suitable for most SPV.

I have attached the joystick keyboard driver for fixing the joystick failure about depod 575,585 etc.For Depod 565, no need this driver.
This driver is for the expert who can hack the Rom only, just replace the original driver with this new driver.

wow WM6 available for the Typhoon before the Tornado, thats incredible!!!
And it does actually work.

It will be working on my Sp3i?
It works on my sp3i, but the joystick is not mapped correctly and makes the navigation nearly impossible.

yes, WM6 works well for typhoon except the joystick.If some experts could customize the ROM to make the ROM more suitable for typhoon, that will be great,as typhoon don't have much storage and RAM after installation.
WM5 was multilingual, is this WM6 have french in the languages ?

Only 2 and lower.
Need special modified ROM with updated drivers to handle the larger ones. I hav only seen this in WM6 cooked ROMs, because no one is cooking WM5.

It was manufactured by HTC, but differend hardwer so I think it's better if you rebuild a new rom.
DO NOT flash it with any HTC universal ROM because your phone will be BRICK.

I need help! urgently! I need to fix this phone (hw6925) and I do not know how... can anyone help me on this? It is stuck at bootloader, I tried replacing the rom but nothing... I can have access to another phone of the exact model but I dont know how to get the rom out of that... I tried getting the bin and transferring it through mtty but still I cannot get it to work... any help?

I noticed that the image version of the rom is 1.00.000.0; is this "as intended"? I'm just curious because my device is version 1.25.409.1, and it would seem that "upgrading" the ROM just became "downgrading" ...

It is a dumped original. All apps included. Don't worry about version mumber.

thanks for the rom but i have a problem installing it.
when i press update/next/next in my pc, it gets stuck and after ten seconds activesync is disconnecting and i get error260 message: connection. the pda is stuck on loading... so i do soft-reset and everything is fine again.
now it even got stuck in the bootloader screen...
i did hardspl with olipro v2 but where can i check that it really went through?
any1 has any ideas?
UPDATE...sorry about that just had to take out the micro sd card and of course unplug and replug the usb connector.
everything works great now!

Would be nice if anyone could tell. I tried hardspl too and would relly like to know if it worked; don't really like bricked devices

It's the original one (WWE). Homescreen is installed. All other htc apps also..
Install Hard SPL and flash your TC.
