Check the WM6 forum under Hermes. You should be able to find what you are looking for there.

Is it possible to change or downgrade my rom with a cooked rom? i bought an XDA with wm2003 4.11 rom.
Yes this is possible, you could use either a new rom (which you can cook in a rom kitchen.
Or you can use the sd card way.
but the rom's in the kitchen are lower than my rom
T0722 you can still downgrade
even if the rom is a lower version
or are you asking IF you should downgrade to a lower version ?
Actully, I'm looking for a better rom. probly a 4.00.16 ENG rom. I only see specific telecom roms. what's the diff anyway?

sorry what i meant was 4.00.11 rom. atually i'm looking for one also coz i downgraded to 4.00.05 and it hangs often. 4.00.11 is more stable. i also would like to try the 4.00.16 but it's only available on T-Mobile in the kitchens anyone?

i've seen t-mobile updates of WM2003 but i don't think it will work well in asia. because t-mobile uses the 900/1900 while in asia we have the 900/1800 frequency.
That will be no problem. The site i linked in the post above is from T-Mobile in Germany. We also use the 900/1800 frequency.
But i didn´t find anyone, that has an new MDA with the original t-mobile wm2003 Software....
Regards
Stefan
you have the rom? the site is in german can't understand it.
Yes and No , all new T-Mobile MDA`s have WM2003 , but this ROM you can`t get alone(without MDA) .
At the T-mobile site(Germany) is only PPC2002 upgrade .
Sorry for bad English
My Magician is making a high pitch sound, coming from the display. T-mobile is offering a repair, but I want to send in the MDA with an original rom, not my home-brew big-storage rom. Unfortunately, when I first updated my MDA (1.01 to 1.05 I believe) , I did not make a dump of the original rom.
The roms in the FTP (./Magician/Dumped_ROMs/tmobile_wwe_ROM_1.01.00.zip and ./Magician/Dumped_ROMs/tmobile-uk_wwe_ROM_1.12.00.zip ) wont boot on my MDA.
I’ve tried cutting and pasting the extended storage parts of other dumps into my current dump (1.12) , but it wont work either. (there is a fat16-like part in the dumped roms)
I couldn't find a ms_.nbf either. (actually, I did get one, but it's a German version, and a Today screen with "Kontakte" is very different from "Contacts")
I do have the originals cab's from a T-Mobile extended rom, but I cannot write it back to the extended rom.
ER2003 couldn’t edit the ms_.nbf, wrong password.
Is there anyone out there with an original T-Mobile rom or with a T-Mobile ms_.nbf and willing to share?
Thanks! I found it

Is the T-Mobile ROM a "vanilla" version? I have the IMATE JAM ROM loaded (from the vendor - it is actually an O2 XDA Mini, which is German originally, as I recall). From the T-Mobile UK online manuals, it doesn't appear that their ROM contains the rapid dialing or the capability to change the ring tones for each contact, which is contained in the IMATE JAM ROM version...

Hi,
Can you tell me where you found it ??

No, it's a "true" T-Mobile rom, so don't expect any IMate software.
You might take a look at the ftp-site!

Dear All,
I am new to this forum which i just joined today. Currently i am trying to figure out my newly bought SPV M600 from u.k but i m located in Malaysia. Any errors or failure on my SPV M600 will be a nightmare for me because i cannt get back to U.K and fix the SPV M600.
After i surf through the whole prophet section, i didnt able to get a proper guidelines on updating the ROM in SPV M600 to Dopod 818 pro ROM. First of all is it possible that i update the Dopod 818 Pro latest ROM? Is it compatible?
If yes please teach me the right ways to perform it. I really scare that my SPV M600 will be gone.
Any specific intruction on the update? To make it perfect?
Don't worry about your SPV m600 ther's no need to get it back to UK..You just have to search around in this forum..go to Prophet Section, surely you'll find tolls nedded and instruction
what is the SPL / IPL of your phone?
I have an M600 myself and on an Orange ROM and wonderig if the Dopod ROM is better and the pros and cons of upgrading from orange to dopod.
Also pls be sure that once you have flashed to a non orange rom u cant go back to the orange rom as it aint available nowhere.

when i try yo go through the wiki.xda-developers.com and under the phophet section there is no information. all the links seems contain no information. wondering where to start from.
and also is this rom working fine with spv m600? http://www.dopodasia.com/download/RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe
what is extended rom? can i have a link on that. thanks
Take a look at this post:

Be aware that if you upgrade to Dopod, there's no turning back for now with this rom, meaning you won't be able to downgrade until a solution is found.
I have installed myself that dopod rom instead of the orange FR one, and I think it have better speed, but appart of that, don't really see the difference appart from some stuff missing in the dopod (like pvplayer for live tv and the rotate screen) and some useless stuff in dopod like auto config for Asian phone providers.
In my case I've update to dopod because it was the better rom atm and I wanted to get rid of that AZERTY french keyboard config which is far from handy on a phone and have a QWERTY.
Now it's up to you to know if you wanna risk it

Radio upgrade
What kind of device are u using?
There is no such thing as a WM6 or WM5 radio rom. The radio ROMs are seperate from the operating system (WM6 or WM5). Make sure you use a radio ROM that is made for your device.

hi im using a O2 Atom Life.
SeanFromSoCal,
My o2 WM5 rom has some minor issues with autoband switching while users with WM6 rom for o2 reported no problems with it. so that's why i'm wondering is there anyway to extract whatever files in the WM6 and flash it over my current phone/WM5 rom.
Regards,
Emanuel
I have X-tel ONE PDA
which is 64/128 RAM/ROM
520MHz WM5
and I need to upgrade it to WM6
How I can do that ????
From where I can download a stable version of WM6 that's Support my device ??????????
Thanks in advance
You probably cannot just download WM6 for that device. If you want WM6 you will need to cook a rom (create a rom for your device) or get someone else to do.

HI!
sorry to reply to an old thread..
i also have an xtel one phone, and am also looking for wm6 update, or atleast an aku3 for wm5.
Seems like support for this phone is waaaaaaay low, but i read somewhere that it is very similar to a Hyundai pda.
