Try craigslist. You can find them from $80 to $200, and its local so you don't have to wait for shipping or anything.
Try the marketplace next time :|

No wonder they dont' have any left ..
They're all on ebay being bought by Nigerian Orphans for £500
"Relisted for the 9th time, due to scammers ..."
My heart bleeds.
and im wondering where this info comes from in the first place

if someone stupid enough to pay through the nose and beleive that rubbish then more fool them simple rule reserch before you buy
I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!
People are selling this information..... people are so dumb!!!
If I thought i could sell stuff like that on ebay i wouldn't have to get out of bed every day and battle with exchange server 2003 and have to handle dumb ass secretaries saying "My files haved disappeared off my computer" all day.....
AARRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
On a lighter note, i ordered a Exec from Coolsmartphone friday morning, after speaking to the sales rep on the phone to make sure they were in stock...... around 2 oclock, i rang then to confirm how my order was progressing to be told that they were waiting for more stock..... Bugger i said, i was promised stock was available this morning when i placed the order, sorry the sales guy said, we must have had a big order before we could process yours.
So i went to Mobile Fun.co.uk, ordered one from them, saved 50 quid on hte phone in the process and should receive it tomorrow.... how cool is that.
If i'd ordered it on thursday instead of spending the day researching it, i woould have it now...... never mind.
A big thumbs up to http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/o2/7839.htm
I like www.mobilefun.co.uk as well. The price of the Exec has reduced on their site in the last few days. The £35 per month option could be very good if you could convert to the Data 5 data only tariff after 6 months.

If you were that way inclined, you could work out where the scamster lives by looking at his photo's

Not many houses there, either.

According to that, its Derbyshire, but Ebay says Southampton.
Jesus £35 a month for a phone?
I would never pay that much tbh ..
Part of my amazement at the ebay market for execs is the fact its 250 cheaper just to get a 1year contract with o2 than it is to buy the fecking thing used ..
Morons!
Ebay is really a cult of stupidity ..
PS: Erm actually .. its not. However I pay £15 not £30 for my 02400 tarriff.
So yes, my bad. If you dont get a discount its fine - I guess. Wouldnt give you £500 for an exec tho. They're not worth half that ...
I know there is another thread on this and in it i said that if the box isnt opened you wont get a bill. Well that is wrong.
I know now different from lots of sites ive read.
I have had my Nexus One 3 weeks and only just got my bill!
The worst thing is i bought my phone from ebay because the guy said he would send it as a gift. He sent it direct from Google the T**T.
So not only did i pay over the odds i now get a vat bill, plus i oredered a dock the other day thinking i wont have to pay tax on that!!!
Yup, this is correct, my invoice from DHL arrived over the weekend.
I ordered my Nexus One on the 8th of January (from Google).
Whats the damage on the import/VAT bill for you guys? How long (roughly) is it taking for the N1 to arrive after ordering?
Cheers
£60ish, took about a week for my N1 to arrive.
£61.40

first of all why would you buy from ebay, when you can buy direct from google? ebay's just not worth the hassle and risk, and even more so going through a middle man when you need a receipt/warranty replacement. I very doubt you paid less than I did buying direct from Google. So there is no reason to buy from ebay unless you tried to skip the VAT, which IMO WILL be added obviously if the guy is selling the device for so cheap. If it wasnt cheap then no reason to not get it from google.
as for the box unopened - you wont recieve a bill for VAT.... i never knew Google put a spy inside the box.
I've had my device now for almost a month. Still no sign of invoice so heres hoping.

I bought from ebay as it cost me £390 delivered.
Now if he had sent it as a gift like he said i would have saved on paying the VAT. Thats the only reason i got it from ebay.
My warranty is still covered as i have had to send it away for repair for the dust under screen issue.
The part about the box was intended for an earlier post where someone said if the box wasnt opened you wouldnt get a bill, he was wrong.
I've had mine for a month now. I haven't had the VAT invoice yet, but I always knew it was coming. The whole "depends on whether the box is opened or not" is BS. DHL do a declaration for each unit based on the info from google. The only way you wouldn't get an invoice is if DHL stuff up and don't send one - but that is not likely.

Yes thats what i`m saying about opening the box. It was said by some that if the box wasnt opened you wouldnt get a bill. I thought that was the case as mine wasnt opened and i didnt get a bill. Now i have a bill so like i say i think we`ll all end up with one.
Has anyone tried NOT paying it.
Wonder what happens

Just wondering if anyone have been charged an extra 5% duty on top of the VAT? I thought mobile phones and PDAs were exempt from customs duty charge? I've tried calling DHL but their line is always busy.

nope, just VAT
If you want to avoid it you can use a US based company where you pay them and they send it as a gift, theres a thread on here somewhere cant find it now,.
I got VAT of £59... If you leave it to long DHL will ring you lol .. like i found out
(I left it about 3 weeks )

Well it's too late now, the DHL invoice is right on my table. I've been charged 5% duty on top of the VAT which is why I'm asking in the first place.
The DHL helpline was too busy so I'll try calling again on monday. If I can't get through I'll pull a lolittle and wait for them to call me instead. There is no way I am paying an extra 5% (about £18) on top of the VAT (£60, so totalling £78) to the greedy taxman.
and closed the contract?
I bought EVO 4g from RS on a launch day. I have been playing with this phone/ Android for some time now.
For whatever reasons I have decided to return it.
My question is, does RS charge restocking fee? Somewhere on this forum I read that one guy paid $35 restocking fee. I thought there is absolutely no charge to try this phone on Sprint.
So, has anyone returned it to RS after purchasing it from it?
I know many ppl like their EVOs and I too think its a very good phone but just wanted to check before I go to RS today.
Nobody paid a $35 restocking fee at a Radioshack. You can return it within 30 days without a hassle.
Thanks. I definitely saw someone mentioned about $35 fee but I could not find that thread. Anyways, thanks for your reply.
All I hear are owls. {hooo hooo!}
I am in a particularly good position to answer this. i work there. yes you can.
A BUNCH OF HTC EVO ARE DYING OUT OF THE BOX IN RADIOSHACK STORES I GOT 2, ONE BRICKED AND THEY ARE TELLING ME ITS GOING TO TAKE 3 WEEKS AT LEAST TO GET A NEW ONE. THERE IS A BAD BATCH OF HTC EVO.

Thanks for the response. I am just coming back from RS. I returned my EVO and canceled my contract with sprint.
One thing to note for anyone who bought from RS. They DO NOT refund you the gift card money. They just give you another gift card for $50. I never never shop at RS or Best Buy for that matter. I did not like this policy. Anyway it could be my mistake that I did not see that rule when I reserved EVO. Finally, I reserved iPhone 4 with that gift card. I won't waste my money on their overpriced accessories. Anyway, I am going to buy iPhone 4.
Lesson learned here. IF you really want to try out worry free any Phone from Sprint/ATT etc. DO NOT buy from these resellers. Buy directly from Sprint/ATT etc. Then you don't have to worry about these gift cards that force you to purchase something from those places (RS/BestBuy). Electronics items are cheaper online if you are not in a hurry.
So i am looking to buy an HD2 this weekend from craigslist because im almost positive that T-Mobile wont give me a good deal even though ive been with them for 8 years..
So Ive came down to two choices.
1. Used, Good Condition 9/10 with everything incl. box - 300$
(Pictures attached)
2. Brand New In Box, Never Opened, Never used - 300$
(Haven't received pictures because the seller is out of town on family emergency and wont be back until Friday.)
What would you buy as of now?
I'm not gonna buy any of these until the weekend so should i just wait till friday and get pictured of the BNIB HD 2, if its good then meet up and see? and tell the first person no and lose the deal?
The reason im asking is because i told the seller of "1." that i would give him an answer today (9/11/10).. so my choice comes down too,
1. Lose a deal on a NEW one and take a chance with a used one.
2. Lose a deal on a USED one and take a chance with a new one.
The new one.
Local price around here is about 250.

+1...you'll find other good deals soon enough if the BNIB seller falls through, so I'd skip the used one for $300 definitely.
I too would buy the new unit. Hd2's go for around $250 used around here.
Edit: Have you tried talking to a loyalty/retention rep? I have twice talked them into giving me a full upgrade discount when I wasn't due one. I even got them to overnight my hd2 with no upgrade or shipping fees.
So guys, i decidede to call t-mobile for the hell of it. they ended up giving me a full upgrade discount! so im getting the phone tomorrow morning at the t mobile store for 149.95$. talk about a deal or what?
Walmart Sunday flier $48.00 new. sorry.

BUT, it's $49.00 at letstalk.com http://www.letstalk.com/tmobile-cell-phones
Nooo Worries, i was prepared to drop 300$ before i knew i could buy it directly from t-mobile for 150$, it can only get so good
Anyone ever seen the commercials for this site? I've seen them a lot late night so o figured for fun, I'd check what a basically perfect Nexus One was worth...
http://www.gazelle.com/catalog/cell...ate[checked_ids][]=calculator_answers_248_531
What a rip! They offer you $59 for a Nexus One in great condition with all original accessories.
You can still get upwards of $180 on eBay..
Just felt like posting this, I thought that was outrageous.
Agreed. They probably sell it back through ebay making at least double the amount.

It is outrageous. Especially because if you look on ebay, they sell extensively there. They also are always the ones charging the greatest prices or highest minimums on ebay.
They're like GameStop for phones. They might as well be called PhoneStop.
Just playing Devil's Advocate here a bit as I do agree, $59 is outrageously low *BUT* when my contract came up with AT&T a few months back, I bought a white iPhone 4 32gb to sell on Ebay and had to relist 3 TIMES before I got a successful bid. One of which I actually sent the device out, Paypal revoked payment and I had to get UPS to intercept the phone that was already 'out for delivery'.. by the time it was all said and done, I sold the phone for $250 over what I payed for it, but after the 1st shipping fiasco, getting eaten alive by Ebay's fees, and just the general pain in the ass, I made like $50.. I will never use Ebay again. So, long story short, if I wanted an easy, painless transaction I just might take that $59 and be done with it.. but i would never sell my N1 anway

yeah ebay is my last resort if craigslist fails me I might try gazelle in the future, just maybe if other people havent sold on ebay before, here it goes someone bids an auction for X dollars the paypal that their cut for providing the transaction then ebay towards the end of the month then bills you a precentage of what you sold. Ebay is great for buyers but if your not moving bulk it kinda sucks to sell there I typically will overcharge on shipping so that I dont lose much and shouldnt I be paid to drive this thing to the UPS store anywhos
