Sprint Telesales is now telling everyone that the PPC-6700 (Apache) will be released sometime between September 16 and September 19.
That means it should be released by Monday and possibly tomorrow!!!

It was released today to Sprint business customers only. One week from today it will be released to the general public.
FYI, Sprint is selling the PPC-6700 (AKA HTC Apache) to everyone now. $629 is the full retail price.
Best Buy will have it exclusively in July. Sprint in August. and everywhere else in September.
The other day my friends OG Evo broke (charging port), And she took it sprint, They did a 90$ buy back plan for her Evo and she paid 5$ more and was able to purchase a Epic Touch 4g at upgrade price 199$ her upgrade isnt due till june, I thought she just got lucky but 2 days ago i took my phone in to get fixed because i had a blown speaker and they offered me the same deal, my upgrade isnt due till October 1st, i declined it, i love my OG Evo until something worth upgrading comes out. So im guesing if you had your evo near launch day you can probably get the same deal unless its just my local sprint store doing that offer. Let me know if anyone else gets this offer.
Not really anything special there, sprint will pretty much offer this to any customer as long as they sign a contract.
Still good to know about. I didn't know. Thanks. But I'm waiting for the evi 4g lte, personally.

How is this nothing special? Getting an early upgrade? I mean, if this is common, I'm gonna be all over this, haha.
When the Evo 4G LTE comes out, or the Samsung GSIII is released, I'm going to be drooling over them! I'm not eligible for an upgrade until April of 2013. If they offer me the upgrade price on those two devices prior to my upgrade, I will be dancing in the streets!

Sprint has the buy up program for all customers who are within a year or so of their upgrade. I did this for my wife on her line last month. Our eligibility date isn't until November. I purchased the early upgrade for a little over eighty dollars and then got her the new phone for the new contract price.

+1 i really want the Evo LTE or SGIII but I'm not eligible until Feb 2013. Hopefully they can do the same for me. I was going to switch carriers, but i thought about it the prices are too good. Plus since im working alot i don't use much data. The past two months total doesn't even reach 1.5GB

Wow, this is terrific news! So do you think that when the new wave of phones begins trickling out this summer, I'll be able to do the same then (my upgrade is 04/2013)? Also, what do you mean by "purchasing" the early upgrade? There's an official program to buy an early upgrade? Or is it an unofficial thing going on all over?
I did this back in December and upgraded to the 3D. And op is right this is exclusively for the og Evo. Basically they are offering this to Evo users because of the og Evo's faulty USB port and battery life. Thats what the service rep who did the upgrade for me explained to me. So if you have an og Evo they will offer you an upgrade (even if your not eligible for ur upgrade yet) b4 taking a look at it..

I came to the evo 4g from the iphone 4, there was just something I was missing with android. I must say with all the ROMs out there there's enough to keep the OG goin. I'm going to wait and see whats coming out in the future, who knows i could get another killer deal off of craigslist.

So I was just wondering if they start shipping mid July then doesn't that mean we won't receive our nexus 7 until later July? Just think about it if it ships mid July you have to wait 2-3 weeks to get it right?
According to my order, I should have 2nd day shipping. IIRC, that was the only option available when ordering directly from the Play Store...

Verizon Wireless will be shipping for those who ordered online the Galaxy Note 4 on Oct 23. Verizon has confirmed this in September and online posts all point to what is stated. In store 17, Mail by 23.

WorstBuy told me my pre-ordered Note 4 would be in store for pickup this Friday, the 17th.
Not holding my breath though.

I work at my local Verizon wireless. We are OFFICIALLY selling Galaxy Note 4 on Friday October 17, 2014. Order tye Galaxy Note 4 online and receive it in the mail on Thursday October 23, 2014.

Well if you work for verizon then answer why in the hell is there a preorder to begin with? I would rather walk in the morning and then pick up the phone then to wait another week for mail.

A guy in the other preorder post said he was a former manager at a VZW store and is still in contact with the people who work there. They said preorders will arrive by the 17th, that is what the regional sales manager said. Obviously there is conflicting information. Hopefully the 17th predictions are correct! Just give us our damn phones already

i know people who work for verizon wireless. they are NOT officially selling the Galaxy Note 4 on Friday October 17, 2014.
and I used to run a VZW store, so I know some people, and yeah, they're confirming this. it's not going to be there the 17th.
Does anyone know why these releases are always such a mess? Why I'm pre ordering a device without actually knowing when its coming out? Its beyond ridiculous

verizon has NEVER ONCE stated otherwise!
people like OP are going around trying to get people's hopes up so they're riled up when the 17th comes and goes with no damn phone.
since pre-order in september, verizon's website has stated 10/23. that's literally DAY ONE. it's NEVER changed. idk why people would think otherwise; verizon has released phones later than other carriers for the past 4 years. S3, S4, Note 2, Note 3.

Nope. It's the 23rd.
Just spoke with a buddy who manages a local Verizon and he told me that the store release date was pushed back to the 23rd. So it looks like we are stuck waiting.

How can something be pushed back when Verizon always stated 10/23?? People took a generic Samsung statement about a "live" date of 10/17 and presumed Verizon would break character for an Android launch. They are always late to the party and never said 10/17. Two weeks ago I was told by both Verizon and BB 10/23. Nothing got changed but reality setting in

I called my local BB today to to see what they would say. I was told that Verizon likea to make sure all the bugs are out before they release it. So they like to release it later to make sure its perfect.... haha...

This article say exactly the opposite. It will NOT be available in Verizon stores until the 23rd.
I bet you don't see many posts from hovscorpion come Friday.
