My HD2 worked fine for the first few months I had it, but then one day my SD card unexpectedly crashed... completely... no reformatting, no salvaging, it wasn't recognized by the phone or my computer or any other device I tried it in.
No big deal, I thought, it happens.
I got a new SD card. Used the opportunity to try a new ROM (dZenkins 1.80.0515).
Started reinstalling stuff and after about 2 days, the new SD card started losing data, in less than a half a day it died too. Same thing, completely fried.
So I got another one. This one, in less than 6 hours, has started showing the same symptoms. I'm expecting it to die any minute.
All 3 cards were 8 GB, Micro SD. Seem legit (even if they're not 100% genuine cards, its unlikely all 3 would experience the same failure).
Also, it happened on my original ROM and now on the new ROM, so I think it's unlikely to be software related...?
With this last (3rd) card, I was very careful to always plug it in to the computer as a "hard drive" and to always eject it through Windows before taking the USB out.
So, I'm totally stumped. Any thoughts?
I did some research and it seems like from time-to-time HTC phones have had a problem with destroying their removable storage cards. Has anyone experienced this with the HD2?
Living in Kunming, China, its going to be tough to get an HTC repair on this thing...
Have you tried another MicroSD Brand?
Yep, tried different brands, still the exact same symptoms.
Same here. My card last only 2 days after purchased. Same problem, it just crashed, not even able to be reformatted or read by pc. It just "gone". Now I'm using 16G, and still working on the replacement. By the way, I'm in Jakarta.
same problem here
i use 16 gb micro sd
i started to have acces troubles to some of my folders
my firts card died 2 days ago
is not recogised anymore what so ever
Contacted HTC, they said try hard reset.
Of course I already did that, no change in the problem. I hard-reset after each failure, but the problem keeps recurring.
Other people who have experienced this problem: Did changing to a different size card help? Or changing how you synced your device?
Today I gave the HTC distributor a visit. They said that they HAD ALREADY WARN ALL THE SELLERS ABOUT SANDISK PROBLEM WITH HTC HD2!
Wow, that's quite a revelation!
So, maybe next time you better buy memorycard other than Sandisk.
I've had problems with the HD2 and microSDHCs. Decided to disable the storage card power saving features on a just in case basis and haven't had any problems since (touches his wood). Purely anecdotal but it worked for me.
Answer is here !!!
Hey Guys !!! I have HAd the same problem when i newly got my Leo ... three 8GB sandisk cards were ruined .. read only 30 MB ... i have changed to kingstone 8GB and now i have been working very good using my new card for more than two months !!
yep same thing happend to me last nite . i had a sandisk 8 gig card , and try to format it though my pc and still nowt .
i wont be buying a sandisk card again.
I'm using kingston 8Gb card since ever, no problem with it.
I been using a transcend sd card 8 gig and works fine, never though the cheap brand would be so good
Me too, Using free 8G scandisk .. 2 week gone, then change another 8G scandsk 1 mth gone, then downgrade to 4G scandisk .. 2mth usage gone, now change to 4G kinsgton, already 2mth old ...hope that fine ..
but my old Tytn II, from already 3 years old ..the 2gb kinsgton never let me down ...
Is it the phone structure cause the Sd card burn??? if I not wrong the HD2 processor is under the memory card ....
Reformatted card in my NIKON
Hi, I have had the same problem with my 16Gb SDHC card in HD2. Neither Windows or Linux could reformat/read/write the card correctly.
Tried my camera (nikon) which can reformat the card. Success!
Still the card failed when i copyed the old rescued /backup contents.
Then I removed the exchange sync to the card and moved the thousands of pictures and videos (Camera folder) (renamed folder).
And now the card seems to work again?!?
now I am able to take pictures and videos without getting a corrupted card...
hi,i'm from nanjing, china, maybe you got three 括容卡,i just buy two cards which were you described. Now i am using a real 8G kingston SDHC card and a 4G card
this problem also happen to me, twice ...sandisk and transcend 8G...now still looking the best SDHC for my HD2

If you were using WP7 then switched to Android than the WP7 is the problem. WP7 formats your SD card with a funky format, I forget what it is called. You see WP7 uses the SD card as the internal memory, WP7 native devices also do this to as they use SD cards for internal memory. Anyway the easiest way to fix this is to SD card in a adapter and put it in a digital camera and formatting it then format it on your computer with Fat 32. The digital cameras can remove that funky format and you will not have to get special software to do it.
Stupid WP7!!!!
I destroyed 2 SD cards so far within 1 day. It happened when I installed that new updateable YukiXbmod Windows phone 7.5 ROM. It just RUINED my Stock 2GB Sandisk and my 8GB Transcend!
I really hope that it isn't the phone f*****g those Sds up! Otherwise I don't know what to do!
---------- Post added at 10:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ----------
Pls if ANYONE else has issues related to this ROM or WP7 in general tell me if you have a solution!
EDIT: I feel stupid... My SD cards are both functioning and they are NOT ruined. They are only locked by that WP7 ROM. I find it embarrasing I missed out on the part with the 1:1 chance of locking your SD.
EDIT2: And it's quite easy to retrive the cards
I had 2 8Gb cards 'killed' by Xbmod Yuki Mango + Gingerbread Android off SD. One card lasted a week before just dying. Had it formatted in Nokia N95 phone, but even though the format went ahead, the message read that the card is locked and demanded password. I formatted again, after which it was no longer functioning at all - nothing could be done. So I got it swapped for the same, which lasted 2 weeks - the same story - it just died. When I came to the shop to see if they'll swap it again, they questioned the chances of 2 cards just failing within a short period of time like that. Now on a third card, different brand, but if it goes, I say it's the ROMs, not the cards.
Hello.
After trying the android booting, for 5-6'th time (all working), now the phone can't see the SD card. I thought it was only on the phone, but when i insert the card, in adapter and connect to pc, then NOTHING happens. Like if the card wasn't there.. Hmm, any clue? Usually I just formatted. But now, I can't format a SD card which "isn't there."
Please.
any one??? :S

Sounds like your sd card maybe corrupt, they can die for no apparent reason, its happen to me twice in about 4yrs, tho i always buy from CEX they offer a 1yr warranty & just replace it if its within that time.
There's been a few threads about this;

What is the brand of the memory card?
hey dude,i got the same problem as yours few days ago..cant do much abt it,i just buy a new one..some says the htc that makes the sd card problem
Hi,
My 8 GB sd card lags when i`m scrolling in the file manager.
In addition, the sd card drains the HD2 battery. I loose 35% in 6 hours in flight mode, but only 4% when not in flight mode without the sd card... ( this also yields for the original sandisk 2 GB sd card that was supplied with the phone).
Anyone experienced the same issue?
Is this hardware or software related, and can i fix this myself?
Error check your microSD card using your computer then switch your phone off, put the card back in it and switch your phone back on. The phone will need to index your music/video files etc so go to the relevant tabs and let it do its stuff. See how that helps.

i got a new HD2 and it came with a MicroSD card. I put a couple of cooked ROMs on it and everything was fine for about a week and then the card jsut stopped working. I didnot use it on any other phone or on my PC and it just died.
I own an HTC Hero as well and i put the card in it but it wouldnt recognize it. It has never happened to me before. Never has a card died on me.
I think its a problem with the way the HD2 accesses the SDcard. I wouldnt know specifics but this is the first phone that fried my SD card.
Hey guys, I had the same issue. The SD card stopped working and cannot be formatted now via computer.
My experience with Windows Mobile is that the SD/CF driver is the weakest link. The problem seems to be simultaneous accesses drive it bonkers. I've had the disappearing card problem on other PDAs but usually removing it, doing a reboot with it out, and then inserting it after the reboot is complete will fix it. If it doesn't show up immediately DON'T do anything for a while, it could be doing a CHKDSK on the card, and if you mess with it it will screw it up worse.
Once it shows up what I would recommend is hooking up via USB in CF Disk mode (not Activesync) and doing a format on the drive from Windows.
Last night I got a new 32gb Class 4 MicroSD from China (unnamed) and stuck it in, worked fine, so I backed up all my data to my 'puter off the T-Mobile Class 2 16gb and changed to the new 32gb SD. I started the copy and after a while went to bed.
This morning I got up and it had died during the copy. It was giving me an error on the new MicroSD. It had copied about 75% but was asking to continue or skip. I ended up having to cancel it because it appeared full but it was not. After a reboot I found a ton of FILEXXX.CHK files which indicated it was doing a chkdsk.
Looking at it with SoftWinter.com's Storage Tools the disk was formatted with 512 byte cluster size, way too small for such a large disk, so it was not really out of space just out of cluster nodes. If you have lots of files (I had 10,000) each takes up at least one, even if the file is only 5 bytes. So I reformatted it from the 'puter to 32k cluster size and started the copy over. Seems to be working better now.
Please note that using larger cluster size also will help performance when writing and reading large files as it has to do less directory accesses. Small cluster size is good if you have a lot of small files as it doesn't waste as much space. You lose on average 1/2 the cluster size for each file, as the last node is almost never full.

Hey
i hope for your sake im wrong, but as far as ive been able to find out in my own searching, only san disk has released a 32gb micro sd & its only class 2.
there has been a lot of talk of fake 32gb micro sd's from china, most are actually 4gb re-programed to read as 32gb on your phone or pc, but when you start to fill them with files more than their actual capacity they will only overwrite prev' files & become corrupt.
i actually pick up 1 (32gb) last weekend from a local store, tried to copy the contents of my 16gb, 7gb copied then an error occurred, 2nd attempt 9gb copied but files unreadable by phone or pc, fortunately i always buy from this store & they refunded (£50), straight away, still have 2 16gb cards ive had for about 9mnths with no probs.
there is another longer thread over in the Q&A section, you guys may find some useful feed back over there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=646731
Well, the one I got says SanDisk and I have done a full format and surface analysis, it checks out, but I am having trouble writing to it. Not sure what is up with it right now. I knew it was a fake but I thought it was a real fake, not a piece of junk. I hope you are wrong.
I´ve got problems too. I have two SanDisk 16 GB microSDHC cards and both of them are giving similar problems.
I´ve got my HD2 a few days ago and initially I used my old 16 GB card I bought with the X1 (then used with my TP2 and latest the HD2). Everything was working fine initially but then the problems arose. Now I have those problems:
1. Audio Manager has problems reading my music library. iPlay can read it though. Windows Media Player takes a long time building my music library but manages to do that eventually.
2. HTC Album can read my albums sometimes - sometimes not.
3. Resco Photo Manager can read the albums but sometimes it takes a long time to do it.
4. The computer can access the card without any problems after formatting and it seems not to be any problems reading or writing files to it. Installations of cabs stored on the memory card works.
5. Total Commander can access the card without any problems but takes slightly longer time than before to show all folders.
6. Running chkdsk in Windows gives the result of a perfectly working card.
7. The phone is draining battery in an abnormal way with the card inserted.
8. Flashing ROMs from the card worked initially but not any longer. Now it shows the threecolor bootloader screen instead.
The interesting thing is the fact both of my 16 GB cards has the exactly the same symptoms. I will try them in my X1, TP2 and Vivaz later to check out their behaviour.
When I inserts my old 8 GB card (everything made by SanDisk) everything works without any problems. Flashing ROMs work normally etc.
I´m running the Omega XT 3.0 and are using HardSPL3. The 16 GB card has worked perfectly initially with this ROM and HSPL so I don´t think they are related.
The whole thing seems to indicate some kind of "incompatibility" between the phone and the 16 GB cards. It´s like it is unable to handle that size of card correctly. It seems like it "trashes" the file system. My older 16 GB card started to behave badly which caused me to buy a replacement and now that replacement has the exactly the same behaviour.
My 8 GB card is an "ultra" SanDisk card. The troublesome cards are Class 2 cards. I began to have the impression the problem is some kind of issue with Class 2 - because the cards itself seems to be working after formatting.
I have formatted them with either Panasonic SDFormatter and the Format SD application on the phone. Both options gives the same result.
Had a cheap integral 32gb card that I got free with my contract die after about a week so I replaced it with a 64gb Samsung which has been fine up till now. Came up with a sd card damaged notification tonight and it unmounted itself so I manually mounted it again and it seems ok so far
Anyone else had sd card issues?

64gb Sandisk routinely unmounts and reports being "damaged". Typically happens when writing lots of files to it or playing music from it.
A re-mount seems to fix it temporarily.
I was hoping it was because of the brand, but if your Samsung card is doing it too..
Did you format yours before using it?
Not yet, its just using the factory formatting it came with.
This is the one I have:

I've got a semi-decent class 10 card and it had been fine until at the weekend when the phone seemed to "lose" the SD card. It was still mounted but the phone seemed to think there was no card in the slot. I took the card out, replaced it, rebooted the phone multiple times but nothing fixed it.
Then about 2 hours later it randomly found the SD card again. Its been fine since but I've no idea what happened or how to stop it happening again
I'm having issues with a Sandisk 64gb class 10 card. It randomly (at least once a day) says damaged sd card. If I restart the phone than everything goes back to normal..
I was thinking of trading to a samsung branded SD card, but since you're having the same issues I guess thats not the solution..
I already formated the card in windows (quick format unchecked) default exfat settings. The errors keep coming.
Maybe going to fat32 will help? I want to keep exfat for bigger files.

I had probs with mine...worked for a day and now says "mount SD Card" and "Blank Card"....tried formatting it on the PC which took a while but worked. Can access it on PC, popped it back in phone and same messages as above....I was putting it down to being a cheap card (not sure on make, class 10, came with phone...probably an ebay special)
I had problems with a sandisk 64gig card. Was constantly getting "sd card unexpectedly removed" errors every few minutes and then remounted. Changed cards and all seems fine. It might just be bad cards that are at issue. But one error and then its fine is hardly worth worrying about.
I have exactly the same problem with Sandisk 64 GB SDXC class 10 card. I think it is a S4 firmware bug and hope it will be fixed in next releases. In other devices the card works perfect.

Exactly the same with me. Sandisk 64 GB SDXC class 10 card previously working perfect on SGS3, in SGS4 is driving me nuts!
Message "damaged SD card" pops up at boot, and even during usage.
Fixes unmounting and remounting the card, or spontaneously after a while. I hope to be a firmware issue, and be fixed soon! Very annoying for a phone of this price!
I think this issue is with all cards of all file formats... I have Samsung Class 10 32G .. same issue... does anyone know if any of the Custom Rom's have this prob?
I have the same issue I think it has something to do with exFat, anyways I just formatted to fat32 and now the card reads, mounts and unmounts just fine. I used a program called guiformat to format to fat32
Thanks raviraaj! Randomly came to this thread from a google search. Very helpful
Yep, same issue
I got a class 4 card free with the phone (from carphone warehouse) It died after about a month of use. Completely dead, isnt seen by the phone or laptop etc. I got a 64g class 10 scan disk card after this and am very worried that it will get killed also (and all my date with it). Ive seen one error message sdo far with the new card and am hoping that its not going to happen to it.
Sounds like its an issue with the phones rather than the cards.
I Have the same problem with my s4, it mount / dismount my 64 sd for a mounth about, and... Burned it.
This card has a 10 year warranty, (it's a 64 GB microSDXC UHS-I card PRO from Samsung) so i take en RMA number and send it to Nederland for repairing.
They send me a new card this week.
I think there is a bug in the firmware, it's worst went s4 is rooted, now in exfat / untooted, it's working for me.
Anyone else getting this with their S4? I bought my S4 two weeks ago and a Sandisk 64gb card to go with it and started seeing this error about twice a day. I returned it for a Samsung SD and didn't see the error for almost a week until today.
The card actually appears to be fine, all I have to do is remount it after seeing the message and all is good, it's just worrisome cause I store all my photos on there. I'm wondering if it could be the phone itself? I have one day left to exchange it, but it's rooted.
SD Errors are because the card is physically moving when its being written to. This cause bad sectors on the card. Try putting a piece of thin scotch tape and cut to shape of the face of the SD Card. See if it fits more snug....
Are you jogging with the S4 or something? Samsung SD's are class 10 which I think write faster. Maybe that is less likely to cause damage because its written so fast? Not sure....
Try the tape trick and see if it reduces the problem. Else its a physical problem with the slot.
i also have a class 10 64gb, some guy on the forum posted this problem too, he said that by formating the card with a PC and then formating it with the format utility in the phone settings has solved his problem. If not, might be a slot problem like slider mentionned
I had this problem too with my 32 gig class 10. When I put my shock absorbant case on it my problem went away
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337
I had never had an issue with a Sandisk card until my S3 ate a 32GB. I then started readibg how the S3 ate non- Samsung cards. I have been using a Samsung card with no issues
hope you make regular sdcard backups and copy to pc
polish_pat is correct, reformat your card with sdformatter, use Full Erase On and Size Adjustment On
Of course backup first
you shouldn't have to reformat again in phone--
if the card is good this should solve your issue
I had tried 3 different San disk 64GBP class 10 cards and had this problem, the fourth one works so far...doing some searching I found lots of complaints from lots of different device forums about this card. Only fix I found was running chkdsk repair on the card in Windows but this only worked for a few people ( couldn't save my first three cards)
anyway, imo exchange the card or better yet buy a different brand

Posting here as doing a search revealed this is the closest to the problem that I'm having. I've had my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 for approximately 1 month now. I purchased a Sandisk 32GB SD Card for the phone. Two days ago I began experiencing issues where when unlocking the phone I would notice the card would unmount then remount (this was in the notification bar). Later that night, the card unmounted and there wasn't any way to get it recognized again. I posted in some other forums and someone said there were some good posts here.
I've contacted Sandisk regarding the card and they refused any involvement stating it's a problem with the phone, not the card. They determined this because once I was able to get the phone to recognize the card and plugged the phone into the PC, the card was able to be read. As long as it's readable, it's fine. After dealing with this I eventually found my MicroSD to SD reader and plugged it into my media reader in my printer. I had quite a few issues from time to time reading the card, however I can't 100% for sure say whether this is the card or the printer.
Anywho, I grabbed copies of what I needed. Formatted the card on the PC, then formatted it on the phone. I began to copy my entries however at one point instead of saying I had 29.* GB Available, it said something like 2.0 EV of 3.0 PE or something like that... these weren't the typical numbers I've seen nor the units of storage space. I apologize that I can't recall that information. I reformatted again and it worked. Left the card in the phone empty over night then tried to copy files later today. This worked.
Now, approximately 48 hours after the problems began, I noticed more issues. SD card stated that it had been damaged and that I should reformat it. While this message stayed in notifications, I confirmed I was still able to read files on the SD card. When googling that error hoping I'd find more resources, the card again unmounted.
One of the resources I found had me do a CHKDSK /F /X on the card. I did this and found no issues. I've replaced it back into the phone and it seems to be working for the moment.
1) Are there any confirmations if this is a bad card, or if perhaps any applications are causing the card to do this? I do have QuickPic and have enabled some of the hidden file features if that helps.
2) Do we know if there are any logs that can be pulled to help verify this?
3) Is it a specific card? (I've heard SanDisk 32gb, but also have heard non-Samsung SD will fail)
Looking to get this resolved ASAP. This card was purchased directly from AT&T when the phone was purchased. I am just looking for some confirmation that if I have to buy another card, I'm not going to gamble if that's going to have the problem as well.
Thanks! If I forgot anything please ask!
Edit: Per the thread, this is a Class 4 card. Also the phone was not moving when it was writing data. I've been couch-ridden all day and unlocked it. I don't believe the phone was in deep-sleep mode as I had received a text not long before I began noticing these messages.
same problem
i have the same problem and guess what ?
the phone is acting like the ***** it stays ok for 3 weeks while that time i download to many stuff to my ext card 32g Elixir Memory after that it crach and give me notification that sd card is damaged and i have to reformat it sucks
by the ****in way this's the fifth time it crash i changed the memory to sony and same and changed to Kodak and the same
so abso****inlotley its the S3 for me soon its going to trash

This works! It fixed the issue I was having with my SanDisk 64GB.
I've just bought a Moto X Play ( UK ) which comes pre-installed with Lollipop from carphone warehouse, I have Samsung 64 GB SD Card Class 10 which is official SD card, been using it on my old S4 phone & computer without issue However when used on my Moto and reboot the phone I get a message saying the SD Card is damaged, and I can't access anything.
If I put the card into my computer or old S4, the card is fine and can be read no issues. i've been playing around with it and what i've noticed is that I think I can now replicate this problem at will and just wondered if any others are noticing this problem.
To replicate the problem:
1. Move an App from internal to SD Card.
2. Reboot the phone, the phone will say the "SD Card is damaged, try re-formatting it" ( don't do it! )
To resolve the corruption, I just took the SD Card out of my moto put it into either my Samsung S4 or a PC, go to the SD Card and clear down the contents of the "Android" folder sitting in the root of the card.
Put the card back into the Moto on startup, the phone is happy with the SD card!, no corruption and all files ( Music, Video, Images etc ) work without issue on the moto.
Repeat the steps again and bang the card goes corrupt again!, very annoying.
It appears to me that there is a bug in the moto SD card implementation which needs addressing as I can't put apps onto SD card and re-start my phone without this problem arising.
I've tried replicating this fault with another memory card and get the same problem
Can anyone else confirm if they are having the same problem?, if you aren't could you tell me what brand of memory card you are using, and the exact software version you are on?, when I do a software update it says I have the latest version.
My Phone Version is:
Android version: Android 5.1.1
Hardware SKU : XT1562
Build Number: LPD23.118-10
Have the same with a (the one) SanDisk 128GB card...
I had the same problem with a 32gb Samsung Evo SD card, yesterday I searched for a solution on the internet and found some suggestions about to format the card from Windows with "quick format" unchecked.
I gave it a try, it took 10-15 minutes to format it but I had no more problems so far!
Hi
What I did was to buy a new memory card from Curry's, won't buy an SD card off places like amazon/ebay due to the number of fakes knocking around on there.
I got a 64 GB PNY Class 10 memory card ( £17.99 ) , plugged it into the phone ,it was instantly recognised, I decided to Erase card using the Menu option before moving apps and data onto it and everything is working fine so far, have re-booted the phone several times without any problems!
I think probably re-formatting the existing Samsung memory card in the computer would probably do the trick as well. however I've got a new use for that memory card as it's going to be used in the car sat nav instead.
It's a strange issue but i'm glad it's solved.
same problem here, can´t use SD as internal becoz it freezes at 40% of formatting and later says that is damaged.
Have the same problem with 2 or 3 sd

I found this good utility for SD Cards, download it on your PC and try scanning your SD Card with this tool, perhaps there is an fault with your sd card, it's called macrorit , I can't post a link as the forum rules won't let me.
There is a free version for download, just go to google and type "macrorit download"
This tool is also good if you need to format a 64GB SDCard as FAT32 instead of exFat, something my car sat nav wants and Windows 10, with diskpart can't do
I am sure there are bugs in both the Android 5 & 6 code but when it comes to SD cards my first suspicion is the card itself. You have to understand that these things barely work and are only marketable because they have internal processing that corrects problems on the fly. Even manufacturers with the best reputations produce flakey batches of SD cards. My experience has been that cards can have invisible latent problems which manifest only when usage changes. eg: a swath is bad but never exposed until a size boundary is crossed, or a storage allocation scheme changes with a new or updated filesystem.
Micro SD cards are vulnerable to physical handling problems including excess g force or static electrical damage.
FWIW, my experience:
1. If even one device reports a problem then the card likely is not 100%. Replace it.
2. Never store valuable and irreplaceable data on it without an active and complete backup process in place.
3. Buying an expensive high capacity device? Get the extended warranty or in store replacement extension. Keep the packaging with all of the batch coding on it. Make sure the replacement is from a different batch.
Also, there are a lot of counterfeits. Buying from a big store says nothing about the true nature of the device.
Hard drives: Very good, predictable service times
SSDs: Almost as predictable.
SD cards: Very unpredictable even if not counterfeit. Easily reprogrammed by anyone with some tech savvy.

One more thing, if the SD card is 100% ok then you should be able to completely rewrite the card every day for at least a couple years.
If your card is under warranty and giving an error in even just one situation then back it up and throw a heavy "burn in" program at it. Let it run until it dies and get it replaced. Better in a burn in program than in your phone.
When you get a new card, make sure you run a tester that writes/reads the complete capacity at least a couple of times. Make sure the data is random.
Again, my opinion only.
Never think of SD cards as being reliable like the phone internal storage. They just are not. They could be but then you would be paying a lot more for them.
I bought a brand new 32GB strontium class 10 card and only managed to use it for a day before the phone kept notifying me that the card was removed and I have to restart the phone to be able to use it again. This happened multiple times before I changed the card with my other one, bought 4 years ago, a class 4 16gb sandisk. no problem whatsoever with it. Now I'm getting a replacement for the new card.
My moto x play is not supporting Samsung evo 32 GB memory card how can I fix this problem plzz help

I have the same problem here with my Samsung 64gb SD-card. Did you find a solution? Before I tried to format it as an internal device is was using it as an external sd card and didn't met any problems.
I have the same problem Android v 6.0.1, system v. 24.61.52.lux_retail_ds.retla.en.01 retmx
I am facing the same problem.. I need to restart my phone repeatedly to get my sd card accessible and that too that becomes accessible only for a few minutes.. And then agaun the same problem occurs
I have the same issue as Shivi10.
I previously found the same issue on a sandisk (32 GB class 10) and asked for a replacement.
Now I found same issue on a new Sandisk same size and class bought on a local shop.
I'll burn in this card on a PC and see the result. If the card passes the burn in the phone itself could be the cause for me.

I used the suggested macrorit utility to check sd card integrity.
I erased, formatted the card on a pc. Then I did several cycles of write, read with macrorit, erase. All these cycles went good. The card is clearly ok (this is the second one, the first was returned but I suspect it was good).
I decided to return back the phone. Appraisal for amazon who agreed on a money back. Excellent.
This phone is awesome, but I'm tired to go around finding bugs and losing my pictures. I'll look for something else.
My problem started after I was using my Strontium Nitro card as internal memory and dropped the phone, my moto doesn't accept any card since then
Have you got the solution to your problem? I am also facing the same for last 3 month

the issue is with the andriod / phone . i had the same issue as i twerk with electronics i had tried checking the sd card on my pc and all the data is present perfectly . I have then used a spare SD card in the phone and then removed it after config and then used the issue SD card . to my surprise it is working . this i have done multiple times . for some reason when we eject the sd card the system feels as corrupted SD card and ask for format . Hope this will save ur data if you dont format before checking the same in PC.
