Problem with M5000 and ActiveSync with boot rom v2.01

Hi,
I got a Orange SPV M5000 and it won't get recognised with ActiveSync v4.1, v4.2 or even 4.5 beta2.
I have managed to get my other M5000 to work and I have tried it on 3 different PC's and disabled firewalls etc.
The only difference between the 2 devices is the Boot ROM Loader version - the one that displays at the bottom when you but it into boot loader (power, bulb and reset).
The one that doesn't work has the later v2.01

Can anyone provide any advice please?
I just want to unlock it but I can get it recognised with my PC and the unlocking software just fails to recognise the device

Bricked my S200 after installing jasper AKU3.3 plz help!

hello all,
i'm a newscommer on this forum,i've trust in upgrade my phone with aku3
i correctly followed the topic , install step 1 (forG3) and step 2
my device worked fine after the first install (qteck 2.15 fr ->2.2 from step1)
i've synchronize my phone, and run the second part, installing without problems, reboot > freeze on the boot screen htc
no way to synchronize again. my phone is reconized by mtty (1.51 and 1.50) but i don't know how to use it

i've tried all the night to find a solution on all forum i knew, i drive me to this one, i think it could help me best ( you'r pro dudes )
but i'm allways stick. i've call htc division hotline (i'm from france) , they said i have to send back my phone ( but he's now out of waranty, cause it's not a legal rom i've installed, so i have to paid, and i've allready too much invest on my device)
plz said me there is still a hope!

1. dowenload this latest Qtek official rom from here: ftp://xda:[email protected]_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
2. enter your S200 into bootloader mode by pressing power +camera + reset, let go of the reset, but keep holding power + camera until the three colur screen will show up (that is bootloader mode).
3. connect the S200 to your pc (make sure your battery is fully charged)
4. run the Qtek official rom.
5. good luck!

i've tried those kind of upgrade several time, but without possibility of establishing an active sync connexion, it's impossible to launch the rom install...
does samebody knew if it's possible to make a rom dump with an emulator and copy it on a sd card for autoinstall backup in bootloader mode ?

while in bootloader you don't need to establish any activesync connection. just plug the usb cable, then if appears "usb" on phone you are good to go.
install the original DOPOD rom from the ftp.

this rom don't work, it give me the message
error 294 invalid vendor id

it's now working ! great !
i've juste install again the step one of jester's aku3.3 (so, i'm on a 2.20 os, i think i'll keep it for a while )

Black Out? Qtek S100

Hi,

I have a Qtek S100

D 1.03.02 FRE ( French i think )
I tryd to change my Extended Rom from French to Dutch or English... with some file i dont know... im new it this stuff and i F**kt it up!!!
My Qtek just goene black and on the screen u can see USB 1.0.0
After open the baterycover and plug in back the qtek starts BUT after starting install the original app. it goes back to thr BLACK screen and nothing happens.
If I plug in the USB and connect it with my pc, it comes on the screen USB 1.0.0 ....
SO PLA HELP ME PLS!!!
I tryd hard / soft reset, NOTHING!
I look at XDA alredy 4 days everyday 4-6 hours I tryd SO MUCH, I take a day off work, so to can fix it!

Best thing to do is go to bootloader mode and installing a new flash.
Bootloader mode can be found on the forum, but to help you out:
press simultaniously: camera button + power + soft reset (last one with the stylus)
Then start the rom update on your pc (do not use this from vista it wont work (or you have to find the fix online..)
Easiest way is to flash from windows xp works like a charm.

I have the same problem than rocky_gent but I can get the bootloader mode
i'm stack in bootloader mode ! And when i connect the usb cable doesn't display the "USB" but insists with "Serial V1.00".
I want to upgrade my rom from a secure digital (sd) cause i don't have another choice!
I 've been surfing through forums but i only found how to make an sd to upgrade your phone when you have an mda or xda (.nb1 files) . Qtek's roms have .nbf files !!! So i'm looking instructions to make an upgrade sd card with .nbf files (Qtek , Htc Magician) and not .nb1 (Xda)!!

I tried to upgrade my XDA to WM2003SE everything goes right,
bootloader first time i still use v5.22
but when I soft reboot it freezes on the OZUP screen and
message ONLY FOR MICROSOFT bla bla bla....
i get this ROM from http://www.romkitchen.de/ ==> WM2003SE
then downgrade bootloader from v5.22 to v5.15,
using MMC (flash SD) continue to special rom 1.2,
and then cooked again using PC2002 by my own creation based from
romkitchen, what i want to ask is :
i cannot connect again via dekstop activesyn if i want to change
my ROM because my cradle cannot detect my charger?? but if i charge
directly, its work. What is the problem?
is my cradle/dekstop broken at the charger socket?
so what i need to do? just change the wire or socket or

if i prefer use the 2nd method, is that really OK? so just used cradle/deskstop, no need

I can not really help you, but i was also in the same situation, that i have had a device, that doesn´t work with any other ROM than PPC2002
Flashed several WM2003 ans the WM2003SE but non of them worked.
So i rest at PPC2002

but how? i wonder that my sx56 with fake bluetooth, only icon
but after i charge my sx56 then i soft reset, its gone, back again with only boot-screen, after that, i can't find again WM2003SE ROM only lock with boot-screen, and ONLY FOR MICROSOFT..blablabla...
and about for my cradle/dekstop? how is it? can u give me solution to fixed it??

its working, i try to modify my cradle/dekstop with that steps (look at the top this thread), and it's work...actually not me who did it, but my friend,hehehehe....i ask his help and he agrre to doit, but all the risk is still at me, now i can charge and also syncronized to my notebook

Dead Wizard, please help

Few days ago my Wizard died all of a sudden. When turned on it only gets to the point when it shows "HTC smart mobility" and stays there. So not even to the screen with IPL, SPL. I tried soft/hard resetting, playing with battery but it was all no go, same.
I can get to the red-green-blue bootloader screen however, shows IPL 3.08, SPL 3.08. If i connect via USB cable to computer, bootloader screen shows "USB" on bottom. The ROM on the device was TNT's (not sure which version), Windows Mobile 6.1. It worked for ages without any problems with this ROM before this.
ActiveSync does not recognise Wizard at all, I cannot establish connection and therefore downgrade/upgrade the ROM becouse upgrade programs (for exmaple with ROM got originally with the device) say they cannot contact the device.
What are my options, please help.

in my opinion , it is normal for active sync to not recognize your phone , because it's not turn on properly ,i mean it only recognize the phone when you enter windows mobile.
if i were you i would try to flash any rom i like and see if it works. i hope this helps

But ROM upgrade/downgrade program requires ActiveSync connection to run and I can't establish it...How to solve the situation, please advise?

when you are in bootloader screen and your phone is connected to the pc by usb cable just start the downgrade/upgrade program and it should work.

i did that. rom update utility complains that it cannot connect with mobile...
that was tried with:
1. official t-mobile ROM that was on the device when I got it
2. CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE ROM
my IPL and SPL versions now are 3.08

I can get to the bootloader , i can even perform a succesful hard reset.
But it doesnt get recognized by the computer in bootloader mode. is there any way to flash the rom if the computer doesnt recognize the device?

Try this look for nbd v8.1 or v8.3 .
hold the camera button and do a soft reset but keep holding the camera button until the 3 color screen comes up it should sync your phone then run the nbd rom or original cingular ship rom like this one ** RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1 ** i prefer original then other but that's me. Hope this help you.
