Really depends what do you mean by "Trinity Chinese"
If you want a pure Chinese Trinity ROM, you should visit a Chinese site and pick a right type of Chinese.
If you want an English ROM but capable to display Chinese without add-on program, then you come to the right forum. Yaka's ROM can display both types of Chinese, Japanese and Korean plus some others.
I had a friend buy me an HD2 from China. The box and everything is in English so he didn't bother to check the rest. When I turned it on, realized that the ROM is chinese. The other strange thing is that when it boots up, it displays XDA-China.com!!
I wrote to HTC asking if there was any way to change the language. They replied that the serial number checks out as a European model and that ROM should've been in English. Someone in China has "illegally" flashed in with Chinese ROM. They asked me to hard reset, which I did but nothing changed.
My question is how were they able to flash this if according to HTC this is indeed an English model?? Is there a way to change it back to English?
I logged on to XDA-China.com but its all Chinese

It was the same like when I bought the Touch HD in Guangzhou, but it was much easier as the HardSPL had already long available. And for your case, I'm getting the HD2 on the 30 Nov in China too, what we can do is just wish HardSPL to be available asap!!!!!! The easier situation for me is I know Chinese, even though I absolutely prefer English, I can stay with Chinese rom for a while. While typing here, I was loading the XDA-China, but very slow.
I will try to advice if I can when I manage to get some info there.
just download the official EU Leo update and update ur phone with it..should get back to the original.
where do I get the Offical EU update?
just go to this website

use your own SN/IMEI and check your HD2's regional country
and download the appropriate official ROM. flash directly.
Thnaks for the reply. Tried that. When I query my S/N it says, Generic English ROM. EU. I tried the English WWE. Doesn't work. Gives invalid vendor ID at 1% :-(
I got the same problem.
You need to flash with WWE East Europe, Original ROM.
I found that after trying all available WWE ROMs (google it)
Finally I tried WWE East Europe and I did not encounter "ERROR Vender ID", so the flashing went OK

there is NO EU official ROM yet. but there is East Europe WWE, you can try that....

It's only a custom RUU...
There is no HardSPL available. For those Chinese ROM, they just did put some language patches to make it run. WM 6.5 support multiple language in its kernel(including Chinese). Just the way how to turn it on.

Since there's no Soft/Hard SPL for HD2 yet you won't be able to just flash a different language ROM.
What you could try in the mean time, is have a look here:

Unfortunately, this is a workaround only for Manila and not the entire OS. I really feel sad as I've read somewhere that cracking the SPL is becoming harder and harder and still not sure if it is going to happen anytime soon. I doubt that even HTC support will care.

Theres not much you can do then as im pretty sure the Roms language cant be changed without flashing a different Rom, which yo ucant do without HardSPL.
Hopefully HardSPL can be done soon but I havent heard much news on it for a while.

I know, we havent had any update recently, the reason why I am afraid that HSPL will not show up anytime soon. If only we can manage to get some good news from Olinex...
I'm from Belgium and if you are not to far away in Germany, I don't mind too to change it with yours!

i think they are just saying that you can install different apps like spb shell that will be in english... i dont think that they are refereeing to some kind of application that can translate the entire rom.
guess we have to wait for hardspl or until QMAT 5.07 and create a goldcard...

The windows mobile arabizer can translate all the OS menus to Arabic language.
I am not sure why such thing is not yet available for English users. The cab is like 5MBs.
hey everybody. i have flashes 1.48 WWE rom to my O2 UK device and i am happy with it, but as title sais i'm a bit confused where is origin of these ROM's. htc.com and htc.com/europe haven't got it on the website and this is a place to go for oficial stuff. there's no any soft/ROM updates availible on oficial website, so it makes me think somebody inside stole it and spread on web. any ideas. apologise if stated somethhing wrong.

I guess that it comes from O2 (Or HTC, O2 dosnt make the ROM by there selfs ofc). There might be some leaks from HTC also..
If the ROMs aren't on htc's website, they're leaked.

I would also add that, if they're not on the official web site within a week or so after they were "leaked", this means HTC have read a lot of bad stuff about those ROMs here, on xda, and are preparing an update
Those official ROMs are unofficially leaked for free beta testing by this excellent community

I bought my Leo with 1.48.
All the latest devices have 1.48 in them.
So it is not "leaked" but official in all latest Leo devices

An official ROM that very often fails to install on unbranded hardware for many people and has to be hacked to install and even then is not guranteed to work! If thats a fully released official update God help us all!

Very often fails to install on unbranded hardware? If you're trying to update to another localisation, maybe... If the Sip is the same, installation should be flawless.
The Danish version of the 1.48 version is available through HTC's official Danish support site. Other language versions are not. The reasons for that are unknown to me, but I guess the Danish shipped version may have had one or more bugs that the other versions may not have?

Many people are doing it with the same localisation on unbranded devices and it fails. There have been a number of reports of 2 identical scenarios where it works for one person but not another. Some also, myself included, cannot get the phone to update even with the Gold Card method! The updates are claimed to be official and yet they don't work consistently!? I cannot vouch for all of them all being authentic but the Danish one would certainly seem to be, as that is on the official HTC web site for Denmark. Thus common sense would suggest if one is they all are, which begs the question why are so many people having the same problems? That is the real question and no one seems to have a real answer. Workarounds are all well and good and to be respected, if they work of course, but ultimately we need to address the fundamental issue of why so many people are experiencing the same issue when they are doing things correctly. At no stage has that question been answered. In fact it is barely even asked which I find alarming.

th3 updates are official.. you're problem is that you're trying to do something that HTC don't want you to..
Gold card isn't official, that is *YOUR* problem here, not the roms!

HTC don't want you to update your device with an officlal ROM update!!?? I am only trying to go from 1.43.405.1 to 1.48.405.2. Thats from WWE English to WWE English on an unbranded device. Please explain in accurate and precise detail what is invalid about that! Additionally why does it work for some and not others with the exact same scenario? Why should I even need to use the Goldcard method in the first place is my question and as stated before that has not been answered!

you cleary stated you can't do it with gold card..
*that* is not supported by htc.. I never said htc don't want you to update the normal and correct way using the ruu.
I was going to offer too help you with flashing,but it I really can't be bothered with that kind of attitude.

hey. i had problem with flashing shipped roms. 2 tihngs i've done diferent thet TUT sais.
1. i changed SD cards serial number first to digits to 00 (zero,zero)
2. last coulple steps didn.t work for me so i launched RUU.exe on PC and that worked fine.

My hd2 be came a stone after I flash this Asia version 1.48.707.2_Radio
the phone can not turn on, can not do the hard reset, volume + power, no help,
15 day warranty is over!!! when I connect the phone to computer, it need the Qualcomm cdma technologies msm Driver, but still can not turn on and I can not find the driver.
sounds like you have a tmous. (t mobile us) in which case the radio in that ROM you flashed has killed it. bad luck.

you need to be able to enter bootloader for that.
you could try the thread called "qualcomm drivers" but i wouldn't hold out much hope, that thread has been there ages, i would have thought it would have been outed as a solution by now. lots of people have killed their tmous with the wrong radio, no ones fixed one.
sorry my friend but your phone is dead as no solution for this has been found. there is a sticky on the tmous hd forum all about flashing radios and it clearly states not to flash any radio other than x.50.xxx.xx radios the one you flashed is a .48

(( .48 is the rom version, the radio in that rom is 2.05.51.05, , OP didnt give the whole filename ,,,, effect is still the same tho, , dead tmous ))

Since it's only 15 days out of warranty, maybe you can talk to a manager or somebody at TMO and see if they can work something out for you. Just play dumb (shouldn't be too tough considering you flashed a .51 instead of .50... just kidding ), and say you're not thrilled about the device not turning on just 15 days after the warranty period. You can also tell em you might be forced to switch over to AT&T / Sprint if they don't fix it for free / for a subsidized price .
Somehow I get the felling that you don't use TMO and you don't live in the States, in which case, my sincerest condolences.

如果你是自己刷机造成的话，违反了保修条款的，所以只能收费维修。在深圳原来卖的店铺检查后说是字库坏了。但是可以换新的。我付了450元，现在变成了HTC新加坡版，就是IMEI和SN都变成新加坡认可的。取回来之后，还是先解锁成1.42.0000，然后解锁成2.08。这时去新加坡HTC官网，用新的SN验证后下载亚洲版英文ROM。刷了以后，中文都可以看。中文输入法包括拼音、注音、仓吉等。东南亚有很多华人，另外新加坡是唯一官方使用简体中文的国家，所以选择新加坡比较好。现在一切都正常，中英文都可以，只是系统菜单都是英文，对我来说没有问题。你在美国的话，我想可能还是恢复T-Mobile的美洲版英文。解决的方法一个是不要解锁，安装中文字库和输入法，例如网上流传的雅黑等。我已下载，如果找不到我设法传给你。但是我现在的办法是，先解锁成SPL-1.42.0000，如果不是而是SPL-1.42.***也不行。有软件可以改的。如需要我可以把我用过成功的传给你。解成SPL-2.08后，T版和非T版都可以刷ROM了。我的刷完之后，并没有重新锁上，而还是保持在SPL-2.08。我的经验如此。英文我可以看，但是像这长篇大论我是写不出来的。

You can send back to your HTC service center, and you have to pay for changing mainboard of the HTC HD2. But I think you still get a tmous back. So you have to unlock first using HSPL 2 or some tools. If you need I will send to you.
Now I got back my "dead brick", but it is a real HTC HD2 Asia version, and I download every thing from HTC Singapore using my new SN(new IMEI). I don't think they are real official version but directly downloaded from HTC official website.

I know there are lots of people have Problem with the T-mobile HD2, if you have your story, please share here.
Yes, but I think my experince is not suitable to here. My Leo now becomes real HD2, I still flash the rom with Tmous official version for testing about one week. Everything is OK. I add Chinese fonts and IME. But I don't like so many useless application in mainland to take about 100M memory. Finally, I flashed a cooked rom in Chinese, no useless applications in it. I have to install my favorite applications and patches. I don't think flash rom frequently is good idea. We are not experts or enthusiasts but cellular users only. It's my opinion.
