You Tube App not loading - HD2 General

Since yesterday when i select the youtube app it loads up and closed down straight away.
The only think that i'd imagin causing that is maybe a missing file but ive not deleted anything, and theres no errors giving me any idea where to look.
It wont open from the start menu, my home page or even from its location.
Any ideas?

UPDATE:- Its magically fixed itself. ;-p

GenieWidget issues

Hey,
I pulled GenieWidget from a CM install, and it installed and loaded up fine on my vibrant. For some strange reason, it now doesnt load up any of the news stories. You can load up the news headline reader with the widget, but click on any story and it never loads, never ending loading screen.
Anyone else having issues w/ GenieWidget or the news reader?
Thanks!
Yeah I have similar issues and a lot of freezing & force closes. I usually go to the app in the menu to refresh rather than the widget because 9 times out of 10 the widget will get stuck loading. But if I go to the app it works 1/2 the time & updates the widget. For now I scrapped it mainly because it made my phone boot super slow and most of the time it was just "loading".
Thats very similar to what I am getting, but I dont know what app to use instead. I loved the News and Weather widget
Mine loads the app fine, but has MAJOR issues loading the articles. It either takes forever to load the article (~20-30 seconds) or it just loads forever and never pulls up the article.
Tried uninstall\reinstall, cleared cache for the app, enabled all locations settings, all w/o any luck.
Restoring back to yesterday using ROM manager seemed to fix the issue temporarily, but it came back fairly quickly.
Anyone else w/ experience or a suggestion?
THanks
Yeah I have the same problem too. That screen seems to be universal so it might be related to something else.

Problem with App Drawers

Hi, I've developed a problem with my app drawers. For the last two days, every time I try to add an app to my app drawers, it makes the app drawers FC every time I tap on them. The FCs won't stop until I uninstall whatever app I was trying to add to the drawer. Once I delete the app the drawers start functioning normally again. Its not a huge issue, I can always hit the apps button to access my stuff, but I've kinda gotten used to using the drawers as a shortcut. Since I've started goofing around with it, I've noticed the few times it will actually let me add an app to the drawer, it stacks the icon on top of another and I have to delete both apps from the drawer to get it to work. Anybody run into the issue before? I searched the forums, but didn't really turn up anything, so any help would e greatly appreciated.
Edit: I just tried removing all the apps from my Games drawer(since that was the one that originally started messing up)then I restarted. After that I was able to add back all my apps along with a few new ones with no problem whatsoever. I'm not sure if what I did fixed it, or if it somehow magically fixed itself, but either way, its working again. So if anyone else has this problem, you may want to try what I did, and see if that works.

[Solved] Play store closes immediately when opening.

I ran into this problem on my girlfriends S4 last night. When you click on the Play Store icon to open it, the program flashes up for about half a second and then shuts down. No matter how many times you click the icon, the program will not open.
I first tried to clear the data and cache on the app itself. This allowed the Play Store to open up but the first time I would try to update an app, it would crash again. Apparently this issue is pretty common with Android phones but there is a lot of misinformation about how to fix it. Many people were recommending a factory reset or restoring from a backup. Luckily it is a little easier than that.
The way to fix this is go into Settings>More tab>Application Manager, scroll right to select ALL applications. Scroll to the very bottom of the list and you should see an app named "Downloads", or "Download Manager". Select it, and then change it from "Disabled" to "Enabled". For some unknown reason it is getting switched to disabled. It has to be enabled for the Play Store to work.
:good:

Where do i find downloads on chrome ?

I'm using h2os, latest update on my oneplus x e1001. I googled and it seems like there should be some app named "Downloads" or so, i just dont have it, neither do i have any options in chrome regarding downloads at all. Hope you can help me out.
It's there, but hidden from the app drawer. Whenever you download something from the net, the "downloading xxx" appears in the pull down status bar notifications. One click on it and the download app will open....
Dead Cookies leave no trails...
I just tried to download something, but clicking on the notification will just open it. As for pressing it would pop up some notification related thing.
Get a file manager, you'll find your files under downloads in the internal storage.
I have the default one but i moved some files and cant remember where. Thought there is such thing as a download manager just like in chrome on pc. Im a little dissapointed

All links open chrome in foreground, default app opens in background.

Im at my wits end with this issue...
I'm getting a bit desperate here, and i cant find a solution anywhere else... i asked before, and it seemed the other people having this issue were using nova or at least some sort of non oem launcher, but some people with nova never saw the problem..
whenever i click on anything in an app... aka, a link in gmail to an ebay item...
what happens, is it opens chrome and displays the last thing i visited on chrome. sometimes if i hit back, it will go back to the ebay app it was supposed to open in and display what i was looking for. other times if i hit back, it goes back a page in chrome till i get to the home page, and then if i hit back again it finally closes chrome and it takes me to the ebay app and the results i want.
the same thing happens if i click on a link from search in the google app... if it is a link handled by an app, it will open with that app. if it is a misc link, it will open chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome, then i click back once or a few times(or switch back to the google app via recent apps), and boom... the link is open in the google app.
another example.. open a link in metal(my reddit app, but it also does it with bacon reader)... it opens chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome. if i back out of chrome, or go into recent apps and switch back to the reddit app.
it is absurdly annoying. this happened with my old lgv20, and it happens with my new one that i got as a warranty replacement. Idk what app or setting followed me over to the new phone and i have no idea how to fix it. anyone else have this problem?
the only time i can get the issue to go away is... if i clear google chrome defaults in the app manager.. and i have a 2nd browser installed, like firefox... and every time it asks to open a random link in chrome or firefox, if i select just once... the issue stays away. if i either uninstall firefox, or click chrome and set it as the default, the issue comes back.
thanks. Im honestly getting desperate as it is making phone use very very cumbersome, especially for switching back and forth between apps.
occasionally making sure chrome isnt in my recent apps will help, but not always.
anyone else here with experiencing the same?
