would you please rename this board to T-Mobile US HD2?
Cause T-Mobile germany is also selling the HD2 (the old version)...
Sure. Closing this thread.

T-Mobile Germany usually sells all HTC Phones in a branded version. T-Mobile on the outside and special "web&walk" software branding.
Since the new HTC HD2 is advertised under the HTC Brandname i wonder if it's delivered it with an unaltered software?
Can anyone confirm if the german T-Mobile HTC HD2 has the original software or the branded software?
Greets, Oliver
Hi,
got my HD2 yesterday. There is no "magenta" T-mobile Branding.(Cover and Software)
Have Fun!
TMobile Branding
According to members of german http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showthread.php?t=147644 there is a branding. Internet-Settings are locked to TMobile (possibly through registryentrys) and there is web+walk-software on it.
maybe some people here should keep in mind that there are other countries arround the world where T-Mobile is selling the HD2 (the "old" version). That's the case here in Germany.
And now there are thread all arround with stuff like "why is this with my t-mobile hd2" and "why doesn't that work with my t-mobile hd2"
this is confusing as hell!
you might consider writing T-Mobile US (It's T-Mobile DE over here)...
+1 to that
It annoys the hell out of me at times! lol
I tried to get them to switch to USTM! But nooo
I bought a Telstra-branded HD2 from Australia for my girlfriend (since she has AT&T), but then I got her the HTC Inspire instead. I ordered this for her since the Telstra can get 3G service on AT&T (unlike the T-Mobile HD2), but since she has the Inspire now
I use T-Mobile, and already have a US market HD2, so I'm not sure what I should do with this Telstra HD2.
I was thinking of putting it on eBay, but what else could I do with it? I was thinking of maybe using it in my car somehow...?
Ideas?
---edit---
decided to put it on ebay...

I own HTC HD2 from Europe. It has only 512Mb of flashable memory. I want to buy a T-Mobile HD2 from ebay. But when I was reading descriptions, some phone's ids were HTC Touch Pro. And I have seen a whole few of those at ebay. Does it mean that the sellers didn't know better, or that under the name HD2 could be a couple of family lines? Also, some description said that the camera was 3mp.
So, my worry is that trying to buy a T-Mobile HTC HD2 with 1Gb internal memory, I might end up with something different than the original T-Mobile HTC HD2.
Or maybe I am just dealing with sellers who don't know much about phones, and I don't need to worry?

Be careful you don't end up with a different phone all together..
Tmobile US HD2 has the same specs as the Europe one except for the Nand Space like you said...
Only one model US HD2
5MP
4.3"
Tmobile AWS (3G) etc...
The touch pro is a model before the hd2 so stick with items that have htc HD2 and the pictures (better to see the actual item before buying)
Thank you very much!

I am in Canada, on the Bell network. I know there are some differences between US and Canada because of different networks. Which model would I look for, to get an unlocked HD2? Thanks.
also make sure you're not getting a Chinese knock off.

I believe you'd be better off with the telstra (Aussie network) version...
This would allow you to use 3g on Rogers... but I'm not sure about bell. They may use different bands.
I'm not 100% on the details but do a search on telstra hd2 Canada etc etc and you'll get some more reliable info...
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face......
It'll work on the Bell network as well, as Bell/Rogers/Telus all use the same bands ( though Bell/Telus and Rogers have different networks).
Just make sure you're getting the Telstra 9193 model.
Hey guys!
I have HD2 I bought in Europe and am currently spending the summer in the USA. I'd like to know if I can use my phone with a SIM card from any operator here - the phone is not SIM locked. I have used it with SIM cards from another mobile operators in Europe. Should I flash the radio or something? I tried with an AT&T SIM card and it didn't work.
No need to reflash your European HD2. I am using a European HD2 on T-Mobile USA for more than a year (on stock ROM) and I never experienced any problems.
However,
make sure that your provider has a rooming agreement with either T-Mobile USA or AT&T.
I don't think you got me right. I don't want to use roaming. It's WAY expensive. I want to buy a SIM card from either T-Mobile or "Speed" or AT&T or whoever - doesn't matter really... and use it on my HD2.
LOL,
You didn't read my reply properly either! I said clearly I am using a European HD2 on T-Mobile USA, so, yes, as long as your Leo is unlocked, it will work just fine.
