hi
anyone know if the new update rumoured to come around april will be able to support full flash as opposed to flash lite?
i think it was said before that the hero would not be able to support full flash because of the cpu not being powerful enough. i think we may get a refined version of flash lite though with 2.1

im looking for a rom with full flash support, the one from bell crashs on every site, my old nexus never crashed...
which room is the best on for full adobe support, ive a euro i9000...
As in Adobe Flash 10.1? Some people have reported that 'flash_for_21.zip' works for Android 2.1 but I haven't been successful so far in getting it to work.
Officially Adobe Flash 10.1 for Android only supports Android 2.2 Froyo because of the new APIs that Flash requires so I presume using one of the recent 'beta' Froyo firmwares (I9000XXJP1/2/3) and installing Flash from the market or side loading it would be your best bet.
Flash isn't a major need for me so waiting until the official Froyo next month is what i'll be doing unless someone could help me get flash_for_21 to work.

Which of the beta romĀ“s is the stablest and best working with flash?
JP2 Works Perfect with Flash.
Will add a Video-Tut These days.
fine Ill try later at home!
I've used 2.2 I9000XXJP3 and found out that this firmware is very fast but not so stable and extremely power consuming, therefore i flash to 2.1 I9000TGYJH1, which i found it stable and much much power saving... regardless about the speed and the support of adobe flash 10.1, i miss 2.2 contact manager, which allows me to search contact with just partial name... so i have a wild imagination:
is it possible to pull the contact manager out from 2.2 and replace the one in 2.1? if so, how?
Hi everyone! I'm a new user so I don't know if I post at right place. Anyway, I use Huawei Mate 8 with EMUI which contains full of "unwanted elements". The specifications are great but the UI makes it horrible. I'm planning to flash custom ROM such as CyanogenMod but after multiple searching I found out Huawei Mate 8 might not compatible for CyanogenMod flashing. Is this true? If so, what other alternative ROM will Huawei Mate 8 compatible? I would like to flash it with stock Android-like custom ROM. I don't want to use horrible manufacturer UI. I don't want to use KangVIP because it's still EMUI based or some what looks like EMUI...
There is no custom rom atm.
Maybe try this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/rom-simply-google-t3311395
its nearest cyanogenmod

Here are some updates for you...

I don't think manufacturer give you android 9 update but you can look for custom rom for your android. But it also looks difficult to find android 9 custom rom since your android runs on android 5.1 which is bit old.

Any links?
And if I flash it on to begin with will it then just receive normal updates when 1 is available?

What do you mean by "regular Android Pie"?
You can flash any Android Pie based ROM but most, if not all, don't support updates through OTA, so you have to manually update your phone every time a new update is released.

So it would never just update/ update in settings?
And regular android pie without miui overhaul, so just the basic like on the pixels.

If you install an "Official" ROM, then you have OTA update if I'm not misstaken.
regular android pie sounds like pie built from android official sources, which wouldn't be very pleasant to use since it lacks a lot of features :silly:
but since u mentioned "like the pixels" (surprise, pixel system is also a skin), there is pixel experience for u to try, and an official one just got published here, so I'd recommend u try that. however, it still lacks a lot of other customisations that custom roms offer, while they still also offer a stock pie feel. so if you're not satisfied with pe, u can also try other custom roms.
official status is not required for ota updates; I've used several unofficial roms that had otas. ota is only available if the dev is nice enough to provision for it. official status does increase the likelihood of it happening though.
