Settings Changed:
Unknown Sources Enabled
USB Debuging Enabled
Addedd:
AdFree Hack (current hosts file is up to date)
Astro File Manager 2.2.4
Wireless Tether 1.70 pre2
Tseng's Task Manager 1.11.2
Websharing 1.0
"DROID" Ringtone for notifications
Tweaks:
Small UI / Speed tweeks. Nothing to Noticeable
Droid Does bootscreen
Removed QuickApps.apk
Should be Finished Tomorrow uploading what I have so far. (settings not added yet thats all)

Based off? 2.1 OTA (Root), 2.1 LEAKED (Root)

your best bet would be using linda file manager cause it does not have a timebomb script. as far as task managers and this is just my thoughts. they cause more harm than good. now don't get mad i just think it's better not to include things that will just have to be removed and task managers should be left up to the individual rather than lumping it in.

I Really want to see this ROM. Is it going to be released today?

Its going to be delayed a day or two have to wait for a replacement from verizon, This phone is having audio issues. so :/ sorry. If a mod wants he can delete this rom till i have it completed.

What happened to this rom?

It died a painfull death, but still i want this.

Update - 06/06/10 said:
It has come to my attention that the developer of SetCPU would like SetCPU removed from all ROMs by default, and instead have a link placed from the first post of the ROM thread to his thread here on XDA - where SetCPU can be downloaded either free of charge, or for $1.99 (donation). Until Rev8, I won't be revising this, but I am highly recommending that you consider donating to the developer of the application. You can do so by clicking here.
You can also check out the SetCPU thread by clicking here. It contains the newest version of SetCPU.
I'm terribly sorry for this mishap and will no longer include SetCPU by default.
I would also like to point out that the reason SetCPU is in /system/app in ZenEXP-Eris isn't to stop users from donating to the developer, but because I had issues with it being pushed from /data/app to /system/sd/app - when A2SD is activated - during beta testing where it would FC randomly. Moving it solved the issue for now. Installing SetCPU from your memory card or the market will result in it being properly placed and cached in your phone and the issue shouldn't present itself.

..and loads of other things that didn't make the list
What's Broken in ZenEXP Rev7:
Trackball LED. LED notifications work, they're mapped to the charging/battery LED for now.
"Mobile Network Options" FC's. It's not built to work on a CDMA device, thus the FC.
Gmail doesn't always sync automatically. Manually syncing works just fine.
After taking a picture in the stock Camera app, if you select the button to send it to someone, you will get an
instant FC. This camera app is from another ROM, Zippy is working on getting the stock app to work with this and,
hopefully, it will be included in the future.
Added:
Astro File Explorer (com.metago.astro.apk)
Spare Parts removable through Astro
Google Maps v4.2 (upgraded from v4.0) removable through Astro
XDA-Developers by TapaTalk v1.0 (xdadevelopers.apk) removable through Astro
Wireless Tethering removable through Astro
SetCPU
Any of the apps above can be removed with Astro, except Astro itself and SetCPU. You'll need another file explorer or adb to remove Astro, since it can't remove itself, and SetCPU is install as a System App

Very Important Info Regarding Overclocking & SetCPU
zanfur said:
SetCPU doesn't actually set parameters until you make a change, and it will default to min/max at 19.2/864, which is clearly going to crash on every Eris we've tried. When you flash this, be sure to do the following, or it's your own darn fault if you get stuck in a reboot loop!
Select "Autodetect" on the device selection screen
Make sure that SetCPU is not set to start at boot, until you know you've found settings that won't freeze your phone on boot.
Make sure that the first thing you set is to move the max down to a value you know is stable. If it's your first time, set it to 528 and increment up from there.
The "performance" governor is like "always use the highest frequency of the range". It's useful for testing.
A number of people have asked what my SetCPU profiles look like. They look like this:
Default: 480/768 (I have it clock down to 480 instead of 528 because 480 actually uses a lower voltage.)
Standby: 160/245 (I like battery life. It takes a while to show me who's calling, though, when it rings while in standby.)
Failsafe: 40C/245/245 (40 degrees is probably too hot. I want to stop it before it melts, which would be around 50 degrees.)
If you don't want to overclock your Eris but still want to use this ROM, simply uninstall SetCPU with Astro or, if you haven't run it yet, don't run SetCPU.

How to install ZenEXP-Eris
Reboot into Recovery
Perform a Nandroid Backup
Wipe Data/Factory Reset/Dalvik Cache
Flash ROM
Please be patient, it takes a few minutes to boot for the first time
Allow the phone to boot up for 2-3 minutes before having at it, it's
much faster this way
MMS Fix is built-in, do not flash any MMS fixes!
NOTE: If you plan to use A2SD, you need to create the appropriate partition on your SD card. I recommend: Swap: 0MB, EXT2: 512 or 1024MB. Once you've partitioned, it is highly recommended that you convert your EXT2 partition to EXT3 in Recovery. EXT4 is not supported in ZenEXP-Eris. Also note that creating a partition will wipe your entire card, so please back it up to your computer in advance.
Download ZenEXP-Eris Rev7OD
Wiping data/dalvik/ext is required

Download Rev8-Beta1
NOTE: I don't have an Eris, so I make no guarantees with this build! Make sure you nandroid backup prior to flashing, just in case!
The Rev8 Beta is up in the Beta Testers Lounge!
Feel free to join, but expect issues and be prepared to use ADB to logcat EVERYTHING so I can fix it.
Changes from Rev7 (so far);
First-boot-setup isn't customized yet
Based on ZenEXP 0.9.7
Deodexed
Gmail Push Fixed
Added True Sprint 6 Signal Bars
SuperUser 2.3.3 by chainsdd
Flash 10.1 for Sense
New Kernel running @ 710 mhz with custom ramdisk (fixes touchscreen lag and wifi tether issues)(default set to ondemand)
Removed More T-Mobile Branding
New DarkTremor a2sd method (Ours is a custom version)
Jit within Sense Optional
Fixed Camera App
Fixed myMode Theme FC’s
Zipalign of system/app on first boot
Zipalign of data/app on boot
Landscape Rosie Removed
Known Issues:
SMS Messages are limited to 160 char. (You can use Handcent and choose the option to split 160 for a temp fix)
Mobile Network settings will Force Close (This is a GSM rom from T-Mobile it does not have the CDMA Settings for Sprint)
There is no PRI or PRL Updates (Again a GSM Rom does not support this)
Contacts Widget will force close (This Rom had faves not a people widget)(This widget must remain for friendstream to work)
Get More Widgets Not Working
Landscape Rosie has been removed for the time being (Might be back in later)
myMode Themes will reboot the phone once applied (this is normal for our devices)
This is a VERY preliminary release. I haven't applied any visual customizations to this build yet, I've simply ported it over and patched a few background processes to work for the Verizon network. Once I know what works and what's broken, I will move forward with customizations. This is an ALPHA/BETA build! expect issues and please report them back asap!

If HTC Sync isn't working properly for you, and it probably isn't, please use the guide and files included below to complete the installation and sync.
For the record, I haven't always had to do this. I was able to install and sync as-normal when using Vista on my old laptop (with the exception of having to disable Avast! during sync's) and even when I first got my laptop and had a stock Eris w/ 1.5. That all changed when I started using this ROM.
Although it'd be pretty damned hard to mess this up, please remember that you, and only you, are responsible for your actions and the end result(s) when using my guide and the files below.

1. Save anything you have open and close it
2. Uninstall HTC Sync
3. Start > Run > type: msconfig
4. Go to the services tab, tick the "hide all Microsoft programs" box (at the bottom of the msconfig window)
(This is very important to click on hide all Microsoft services first or computer issues can occur - be sure to tick this box)
5. Now once that is ticked, click on disable all (Microsoft services are hidden as you ticked the box so they will not be disabled now, it's important that microsoft services don't get disabled, so make SURE you ticked the box as described above)
6. Go to the startup Tab, click on disable all
7. Click Apply, then click Restart Now when prompted
8. The PC will restart with only essential Microsoft programs running
9. Click on do not show this again, if prompted
10. Install HTC Sync (use the file I've included here, it includes the correct driver and HTC Sync version!)
11. Plug in your Eris
12. Your Eris should notify you that you're in Disk Mode (assuming you haven't changed the default, otherwise it could be set to Sync mode or Charge Only mode by default)
13. Slide your notifications drawer down on your Eris and select Disk Mode (again, assuming you haven't changed it, otherwise it will say Sync or Charge Only mode)
14. Once prompted, select Sync and click Done
15. Wait a moment and wait for your computer to find your Eris, setup your Eris in the wizard and enjoy!
Once you've completed the above and sync'd your Eris for the first time, you need to do the following:
1. Start > Run> Type: msconfig
2. Go to the services tab, tick that "hide Microsoft services" box again, then click on "enable all"
3. Go to the startup tab, click on "enable all" (You may choose to leave any unchecked that are slowing your computer down, please check google to see what you can and can't disable here)
4. Click Apply, then click Restart Now when prompted
5. Once your PC reboots, plug your Eris back in and try to Sync, does it work? If not, disable your firewall(s)/AntiVirus and try again. I have Avast! and I have to "disable all shields for 10 minutes" before syncing in order for it to work, most likely you will have to as well.
This is the ZenEXP-Eris FAQ section.
Please read through them all before posting for help as your issue is probably covered below.
UPDATE: If you haven't read this FAQ and/or you're asking for help with something that's already been covered here, your plea will be ignored.
I'm sorry to have to do this, but I need to spend more time perfecting the build for Rev8 and less time explaining the same things over and over again.
This FAQ was last updated for ZenEXP-Eris Rev7
Q: Isn't there already a ZenEXP thread?
A: No, not anymore. Hector has moved on and I started an entirely new port.

Q: Why aren't my softkeys and hardkeys lighting up?
A: The softkeys and hardkeys only light up in dark areas. Try covering the light sensor (top left portion of the Eris, to the left of the ear speaker) to see them light up in a well-lit area.

Q: My MMS isn't working, can you fix it?
A: There is an MMS patch for all builds up to Rev6. Rev7 and later builds all include the MMS patch built-in and pre-installed.

Q: A2SD isn't working, what's going on?
A: Did you partition your SD card in Recovery (Volume Up + Power on, while the phone is off, will bring you into Recovery. From there, you'll see the option to partition). I recommend the following for Eris users; Swap:0MB, EXT2:512MB or 1024MB, once you've created your partition head to the main menu of Recovery -> Other -> EXT2 to EXT3. I don't recommend EXT4, but you're welcome to try it.

Q: My phone seems slow now that I installed your ROM, what gives?
A: Is this your first boot, or did you just boot up your phone? The fact is that your first boot will always take longer than any subsequent boot, and each time you boot up your phone it will take a moment for things to load.
I also recommend giving the phone 2-3 minutes to fully load each time you boot it up, unless you absolutely need to use it right away. When doing this, my phone running ZenEXP-Eris flies, and that's without overclocking.

Q: I installed a LWP (Live Wallpapers Patch) but it's not working, help?
A: I can't, sorry! HTC Sense isn't compatible with Live Wallpapers for Espresso at this time. There is an HTC Sense LWP patch, but it doesn't function with Espresso yet.

Q: Gmail isn't autosyncing, can you fix it?
A: I wish, but it's been an ongoing issue with ZenEXP and ZenEXP-Eris. The way around this is to a.) Use the Mail App and set it to poll every 15 minutes, or manually sync Gmail. This will be fixed in the future.

Q: My trackball/jogball LED isn't lighting up, what's wrong with it?
A: The trackball LED isn't functioning in this build, but I've mapped it to the charging LED so you still get notifications. Make sure you turn Notifictions on in Settings->Sounds & Display->Notification flash or they won't work at all.

Q: My screen won't change to landscape automatically, can you fix it?
A: Did you change any settings? Check to be sure it's enabled in Settings->Sounds & Display-> Orientation.

Q: Mobile Network Options doesn't work in Settings->Wireless & Networks->Mobile Networks, is it broken?
A: Yes, it's broken. It will FC everytime you try to open it because it's built to offer up Mobile Network Functions for a GSM device, not a CDMA device. The Eris is CDMA. This will be fixed in the future.
Click to collapse
Q: Your post says the ROM has 7 screens but it only has 5!
A: You have to change it from 5 to 7 in Settings->Personalize->Home screen pages. NOTE that once you change this, if you want to go back to 5 screens only, you'll have to do a Factory Reset.
Click to collapse
Q: The People Widget doesn't work, what gives?
A: It's been removed in Rev7 because of this. It was never meant to work with this build. Zen and Zippy tried to get it working but, since it isn't yet, I've removed it.
Click to collapse
Q: Do I have to wipe anything to upgrade or can I just flash <newest build> over <older build>?
A: I recommend wiping everything (Data/Cache/Dalvik/EXT) before flashing every time you move to a newer build, to avoid issues and conflictions. The only time I don't recommend this is what I specifically state otherwise for a specific build/upgrade.

Q: I didn't read your entire thread and am now having issues, can you fix them for me?
A: Not until you read my entire thread twice and try to resolve them on your own. It takes a lot of time to debug, fix and release these builds and we all do it for free. The very least you can do is make sure the bug(s) you've found aren't already known before asking for help.

Q: If you removed FriendStream, how will I sync my Facebook Contacts?

Q: My battery life sucks now, please fix it!
A: By default, the "Automatic Backlight Control" is turned off. Settings->Sound & Display->Brightness->check the box next to: Automatic Brightness.
You can also try recalibrating your battery:
Charge the phone to full battery; power off and let it keep charging until the light is green.
Boot to recovery mode and wipe battery stats
Use phone until the battery is so low it shuts itself down - DO NOT charge it until this happens

Q: After flashing your ROM, I only see "E" in my status bar, what happened to "3G" in other builds?

Q: Is it normal for the "crosshair" in the status bar to have a line through it? Also, my GPS isn't working or Maps can't find me..

Trying to iron out what went wrong with Friendstream in Rev6 first, sorry
I'm passing the RC3 along to my beta tester this evening and should be releasing Rev7 tomorrow afternoon sometime.

Rev6 is in the second post, please read everything more carefully next time.
Rev7 will be up tomorrow, it may not be worth installing Rev6 at this time, but you're welcomed to.
The mods you've requested can be done but I can't do them at this time as I have prepaid projects I'm working on right now as well as perfecting Rev7.

Samsung new task manager???

It would appear for the second time today that updating the Samsung Task manager on JPC Froyo has given me the black screen with illuminated buttons.
This afternoon I thought I had trashed my set up after moving Root Explorer to SD card. I recall that at the same time I updated all available Samsung Apps including the Task Manager, but it would now appear that the Root Explorer was not the cause.
5+ hours later after getting everything restored the last thing I did was update task manager, I did I restart as I got stuck in a google internet loop, and I'm stuck with a blank screen.
Samsung, be afraid, very afraid, because if I find out for a third time in an hour or so that your new task manager is NAFF i will personally come and nuke your new 3D island.
All this on a Kies 2.2 with RyanZA lag and rooted UK VOD SGS
Looks like I'm up for the night now, will do the task manager update 1st and report back.
Update: After a format sd, clear cache, and reset and set up updated samsung apps' and its died again.
Task Manager update works perfectly fine on 2.1 for me.
You're using 2.2 which isn't official yet. It's bound to have bugs in it.
And you're threatening to nuke Samsung's '3D island'
*rolls eyes*
OP, JPC is still in beta, plus you have additional tweaks to your system. Why go nuke them?
P/S: THAT Task Manager in Samsung Apps is meant for official ROM!! And it is for eclair 2.1, look at the 4 images.
Edit: JPC already provided with the Task Manager. It is called JobManager.apk.
Oh boohoo, it's a leaked pre-release.. I wish people would stop complaining about issues with pre-releases. The only good reason for using Froyo currently is if you need the API's. It isn't production ready, and you shouldn't even be surprised if you dial a number and your phone calls a sex-line instead.
And, you aren't even using the leaked pre-release, but a hacked up copy. ONLY USE FROYO IF YOU ARE DEVELOPING FOR IT!!
Live and learn, like many before me ... and I'm pretty sure, many behind me.
If you do a quick search you will fins I have posted about this in a couple of places.
The Samsung App Market looks at your system version and only displays apps that are (supposed to be) compatible with it. So yes we (2.2 users) should mention this as a bug.

malez 0.6 already released, works with froyo
great progress alan090!
No problems installing this ROM after I figured out that I needed the newest Malez. I'm also enjoying the 2.2 experience!
However, I've noticed that my battery seems to be draining faster than usual. Battery usage as reported by android is showing that the "Android System" is eating up >70% of my battery. This is happening without installing any apps.
Any ideas?

Yes, I had this as well on my stock 2.1 Rogers ROM but then I got rid of the Acer Settings and other Acer applications and Android System no longer took up a ton a the battery. Not sure, now I am on this and it happens.

no im saying its likely a misrepresented charge - that happens alot after flashing a rom
after using it for more than a week and now im back to my 2.1 rom i can say 2.2 has better battery life for sure
I have been using this ROM for over a week now. I love it! Struggling a bit with BetterCut at the moment. It won't change icons on the home screen because technically, they aren't on the home screen (Acer's new UI). I'm staying with the new UI for now (getting used to it). Haven't had any real troubles or issues with this ROM, using it for everyday. The new lock screens are nice to be able to customize. No battery issues, only had to reboot once but could not determine why yet? System totally locked up with dark screen (would not wake up).
Thanks again
Thanks again for another nice rom! I definitely am liking some of the new improvements with Froyo. Having flash in the browser is handy too. Battery life is better than with the 2.1 roms, though both are ok. Couple of questions:
- Do you think in a future release it might be possible to re-add the volume-control hack to move the cursor? On the liquid it's almost a necessity.
- Are there overclocked kernels we can use with this? I find it laggier than 2.1
- Is there anyway to move the notification bar back to the top/get the old bar back? I particularly hate having to click and hold on it to see if I have SMS, email, etc.
- The SMS app is quite laggy. Has anyone else noticed this? I've been avoiding deleting all my SMSs to see if this speeds it up.
- The notification bar always shows a little SMS icon with three dots on it, even if I don't have a new sms message. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this but it means no visual indication of new messages.
- Occasionally, the phone doesn't shut-down properly, but reboots instead, especially if the power is plugged in.
Just a little note for people, after installing this, I was unable to make a nandroid backup. After clearing the cache in the recovery console, it worked fine.
Otherwise, it's really nice, thanks! I definitely appreciate the theme as well.
I use eclair still froyo isnt ready for me yet
Using this on my gf liquid and I can tell you its way better then stock 2.1. She was complaining so much about the phone, I got her to shut up a lil with this ROM lol. Looking forward to more updates.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Nevermind this post
Deleting all of my SMSs fixed the sms slowness, and the weird notification icon stuff. I miss Eclair sometimes but mostly because of the volume button hack and the robot that eats donuts when you boot
I definitely prefer the Froyo rom for calls! Regardless of the proximity sensor, I still hung up on people with my cheek a lot with eclair and sometimes I couldn't get the screen to turn back on. Not an issue at all in Froyo.
Is there also a 0.007.00 CUS2 bin available somewhere? Now i don't seem to able getting this ROM to work with malez recovery nore can i install that specific BIN version.
Anyone?
[update]
So i also found out that i can forget the CUS2 bin story. That's only when using official acer updates. With the ACER Download Tool [Single] i've now managed to install the leaked alpha version of froyo!
Has anyone had this issue? Occasionally - like once a day, it just reboots, but not the regular reboot, a fairly fast reboot. I haven't been able to catch what is going on, but every once in a while, I look at the phone and see the boot splash screen.

No to be honest, I have been using this ROM almost exclusively since it was published in September. I have an original Acer S100 (white one) with the smaller RAM. This ROM has been a rock solid performer for me. I like it better than the other leaks, at least for what I do with it.

[Q] Battery drain issue Droid X after rooting...please help

Hello Droid X users. I'm new to the forums and never have posted one before. I'm somewhat tech savy and am learning Droid system still. I have had Droid X since Nov 2010 came from a regular flip phone that I had for many years. Dispite the Droids rebooting issues which is a known problem I am now having even large issues. I decided to root my Droid a couple days ago using z4root. I had installed Open Garden Wifi tethering app. Worked great until I found that the stock battery drained 10-15% every 10 minutes or so. Droid battery drained within 3 hours on AC/USB power. Researched issue and found that these types of apps put a strain on battery and consumption so i uninstalled it and kept PDA net. However I am still having the same issue except it won't hold a charge when connected via usb cable. My phone heats up to a burning temp of over 100% sometimes registering 111%. I have gps, Bluetooth and wifi disabled. I don’t use WiFi often because I haven’t seen much of a difference in battery life v.s. using 3G. Brightness set to 20-40% unless using dimmer app than it is reduced to 0% while indoors. I know not to use a task manager as they only do more harm to your phone and just reopen applications and consume more battery life. I compiled a list of the apps I currently have installed. I am running stock rom froyo 2.2.1 with no mods. I did not have this problem prior to rooting my Droid X. Also I used ROM manger to flash current stock rom and backup but screen went black and Droid rebooted. So what program that is free can I use to create backup rom if i decide to stay rooted? Thank you for the help everyone!

id install a custom rom. in the process of doing that you will end up wiping data which wont hurt either.
i didnt see super user in your list; are you sure you are rooted (sometimes it doesnt take).
apps you should have;
super user
droid x bootstrap
jrummys overclock app
dont use rom manager to install roms, create backups with it if you want
instead use droid x bootstrap and then install from the recovery it takes you to (read rom install directions usually located with the roms page in different forums where you find the downloads in root sections).
there are gingerbread leaks out right now, i dont run that but i believe they actually use droid 2 bootstrap?....again read the directions. also gingerbread should be coming out from verizon soon so im not sure if you would rather have that if it would be better to wait to install a rom and try it (sometimes you cant get the official update from your carrier if you have a custom rom without jumping through hoops to put things back a certain way, they'll be plenty of threads about that when verizon starts pushing gingerbread out).
anyway, if it was me; id put a custom rom on, disable wifi (sounds like you already have), and use rummys overclock app to undervolt over clock at different settings to see what works best for your phone/battery.
edit; in the process if you do take that route, id get rid of all the battery manager apps and just focus on the custom rom, overclock/undervolt and see how that goes.
custom rom itself without the undervolt may help enough....
Root in itself will not effect battery life. If you installed any new apps just prior to the poor battery life (pre or post root), I would start by deleting them. Add them back one at a time to see which one is causing the issue.
Also, I would recommend an overclocking app. I use droid overclock by jrummy. I undervolt & underclock my phone and get 16-24 hours between charges. I enable airplane mode when I go to sleep. I also use an app called permissions denied. You can disable certain permissions that are given to apps when you download them. So, apps that have data permission & don't need them, I disable.

If you're on froyo i would suggest rubix, liberty or apex custom roms. These will get rid of bloatware and in many cases get rid of blur, this helps the smoothness and battery life of your phone. Undervolting is just a cherry on top.
Right now i'm using Apex 2.0 Beta on Gingerbread .591 and am getting 10-20 hours depending on usage.
also, try going into clockwork recovery>Advance>Wipe Battery Stats
That helped me calibrate my battery since mine was running out in about 5 hours..... the EXTENDED BATTERY one!!! now I can crank out 12 hours with internet usage, push data and music. =]

00Ring_Lag_v2. Updated 09/26/2011

Thank to Workshed for finding the errors!
Universal Script for Android Phone No more RING lag phone rings by the 2nd ring and screen and caller ID pops right up.
There are a few vers to test I am uploading my ver of it now it has a few tweaks removed for the CPU and kernals. But added a few thats it works much better now and it will get along with other Twaeks like supercharger.
All Zips from this post are flashable from recovery.
Here is the link to the OP I found it on. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205259
This Is VER 2 there where errors in the 1st ver and also on the OP that i found this on.
I patched it up and also tested it and the file is running great without any errors as far as I can see.
By the end of the 2nd ring the phone lights right up with caller ID and rings even with custom ringtone. The dialer when placing a call is so much faster when it opens it just POPS.

Sorry to jump threads on you, I didn't want to clog up CondemnedSoul's thread with questions/comments specifically about this script....
After loading & rebooting, I didn't notice any problems. The phone seems a bit snappier with this in general, although I still haven't tested the incoming calls thoroughly yet. I am running this script on Comndemned v17 S2h in combination with the v6 SuperCharger, and the 3G & Kernel Tweaks. Based on a recommendation from CS, I also modified the following line in the build.prop from
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=500
to
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=0
I haven't noticed any conflicts or issues yet, but I wouldn't necessarily classify myself as a heavy user.
I have another question for you. Since it was easy enough to modify the CPU speed, if I change the governor in the following line
GOVERNOR_SCALE="ondemand";
to smartass so that it will match my CM7 performance settings, will that cause any issues? Does this script need to be set to ondemand in order to work correctly?
computerfreek said:

That shouldn't cause any issues at all. It should just default your governor to smartass instead of ondemand.

I don't think matching it matters so much as it is set to RUN the the CPU speed set 1 time on start up be for cm7 sets it's speed. CM7 looks like it will override it after it's booted. So even if you load the 710MHZ ver and have cm7 set at 600mhz it will drop to 600 after cm7 is fully loaded.
I think there may be a conflict between this script & zeppelin's v6 supercharger. I had 3 screen redraws today for the first time in ages. When I was using the supercharger by itself, I had no problems.
I removed the 00tweaks & rebooted for now.

One other question about the 00tweaks. I looked through the script & noticed it has some tweaks built in for dialer one. Since I don't use dialer one, could it be modified to tweak go contacts ex instead?

I was thinking the same thing I don't see why not it looks like it will work for any service app I don't know if contacts is a service or not. You can PM tazz811 on the OP. And see if you can help you with that. Link to OP If you get it working for other apps please post back here so we can all use it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205259

I think there may be a conflict between this script & zeppelin's v6 supercharger. I had 3 screen redraws today for the first time in ages. When I was using the supercharger by itself, I had no problems.
I removed the 00tweaks & rebooted for now.

I have been testing it with and without supercharger and it seems fine for me. However it be nice if we can just make a new script for just rintone lag so there will be no conflicts at will even if your just OC with CPUboost.
I think we will see soon DEV apping just the phone LAG stuff into there ROMS. This way we can just boost or OC with any other apps or scripts.
I don't think they are playing well. I don't usually use the super charger script, but had applied multi tasker setting after a few apps were killed by system that I wanted running in background. First, I notice extremely poor battery life - some service kept the phone awake all night so it didn't fully charge. This also happened yesterday with xda app, but don't know what did it last night. Also, notice that the super charger minfree values did not stick, so the 00tweaks must over ride them at startup. I was having the background app problem before the tweaks, so I suspect that the super charger kernel tweaks conflict with the 00tweaks. Undid both for now

Getting rid of the 00Tweaks seems to have solved my screen redraw issue for the moment. I was also having some issues with lag after leaving certain apps, and that is gone too.

Maybe it the laucher or the ROM your on mine is working great, But has also been the same with or without supercharger is I do not get redraws or any teaking. I am Runing worksheds last release 3.8 and it is working great. I never use ADW so can't tell you if it is that or not. As if I test or use a rom and it has ADW or any other lanucher on it I always add lancher pro on it and resign the rom befor I even install it.
Maybe you can talk to TAZZ811 on the like from the OP. and see if he can help use out with just the phone lag tweak with no mem or kernals tweaks. Thats what I think we need.
I am sicking with it on my phone I hate missing calls And with this tweak my phone lights right up with the caller ID and it's ringing just as the 2nd ring starts. I hope others try this out and see if they get the same thing.
It maybe as easy as just removing or #out the kernal and mem tweaks on the script.
The 00tweaks universal script does a lot of things I'd rather control elsewhere or not muck with. So, I isolated the portion of the script that pertains to the ring lag. I pushed the attached file to the init.d folder.make sure you remove the .txt part. No adverse effects that I notice yet. Phone sounds on the second ring. Good luck.

Nice, I did the same thing. I tried leaving in a few of the other tweaks to see if I notice any difference (either way). If I start running into problems again, I'll check your version out.

Nice I was testing with that also. I hope it all works out for you with your setup. I can make a flash .zip ver of each one to make it easy for others.
Thanks for testing this out. I hope DEV's just start rolling it in there roms.
