The backlight for my Titan's screen shuts off sliding open the keyboard between the screen rotation and fully open. I recently flashed up to DCD 3.2.6 twice (dialer went MIA the first time).
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Has the ribbon cable between the two device halves finally failed?

After I installed Hermes_WM6_WWE_vp3G_v3.62.3_ATT_Full the backlighting on the keyboard no longer works at all. Ive checked the button settings for the backlight and have tried witht he sensor on and the sensor off.
Is there a fix for this?
For a short time I had the backlighting back but after a sync or a program install I lost it again, is it possible the HTChome plugin is causing a problem? I think that and birdiesync are the onty things I have installed since it was last working.
This is possibly a common thing, but the screen on my dopod has stopped being a touchscreen. Seemed to work sometimes, then stop, then start working again if i left it in the sun for a few minutes to warm up.. Have striped it down to see if it was a loose connector, but everything seems fine. D-pad and all the other front-cover buttons work. Is this more likely to be a screen issue or a ribbon cable issue?
Hello!
Yesterday, my LG G2 D800 had a backlight issue. I was able to use my phone in direct light and utilize the touch screen in its entirety at the time.
I took off the back cover and reconnected the Backlight cable to the motherboard, and that solved my issue regarding that. However, after the fix, my touch screen no longer recognizes inputs, even in Recovery Mode (TWRP, so it needs touch functionality).
I tried to disconnect & reconnect all cables on my motherboard, but my touch screen still does not recognize inputs at all.
What could have caused this? I took off the back cover gently with a plastic spudge, and only removed the bottom motherboard cover that had the backlight cable attached.
tldr
1) Backlight stopped working, but touch worked
2) Re-connected backlight cable. Backlight works, touch does not work
3) Reconnected all motherboard cables. Backlight works, touch does not work
Any help would be appreciated!
I ran into an unusual problem. From a powered off state, my tablet worked normal. However, when I locked it using the power button or with the Samsung book cover, then I unlocked it, I would occasionally find a dark area in the upper left corner (tablet oriented with button to the left). A simple restart cleared the problem. This would happen randomly.
Two days ago it got worse. When I lifted the cover or pressed the power button, with the tablet in standby mode, the screen would remain dark but the two soft buttons above and below the physical button would illuminate as normal.
The only way to get the tablet to work again was a to hold the power button down and force a hard reset. It would work fine until I locked it or the screen timed out and the OS turned off the screen. When I attempted to unlock it, I had the dark screen problem. Additionally, I also discovered that when I did a hard restart, the screen brightness would not change when I adjusted it with the software control.
Using a flashlight, I turned it on over the screen and discovered the problem was the screen backlight was not turning on so the screen was visible. However, because it was working after a hard reboot I knew it had to be a software or hardware problem and not a backlight failure.
During my troubleshooting I visited these two links:

After reviewing the Youtube video I was able to use a plastic hotel room key to remove the Tablet's cover. I then removed and reseated the display ribbon cable. During the reinstall I ensured the cable was properly seated into the connector. I then powered on the tablet and locked and unlocked the tablet several time to ensure the backlight/black screen problem was resolved.
I hope this helps anyone else whom may have experienced a similar problem.
I think I've found the culprit. I had the same issue where the screen went black but removing the back reattaching the screen cable fixed it temporarily.
What I did to fix was go to "Lock screen" setting and set the "Lock automatically" to "immediately".
Ever since the issue has gone. It seems there's a software issue but god only knows.
I hope this solution works for others too.
Had this a couple of times with stock roms. First time during the first or second reboot or power cycle, which worried me back then. Not with CM/LOS/RR, all from our David(P605).
The issue with the cables running across the battery is a real concern. I think it's caused by pressure on the back causing the cables to bend and work in the tiny gap between battery and cover, which immediately closes on slight pressure. A case with a stiff back should help, i never had such issues. One part which receives extra pressure is the battery connector, which can cause bad solder connections there.
So my fingerprint sensor on my OP2 broke and i replaced it with no problems. However, shortly after i noticed that the every so often the phone becomes unresponsive to touch (except the capacitive buttons which remained active). After living with it for a few days its gotten to the point where its unusable and the capactive buttons even present the same problems now but i have noticed that pressing hard on the screen around the fingerprint sensor fixes the issue until i release it again. I have disassembled it many times and i cannot see any fault. Ive checked all connectors, ensured the LCD was properly grounded on the chassis and even tried insulating it from the chassis.
Any ideas?
