I have a phone (HTC P3300 Artemis) wich is not basically configured for Imode. I made the user agent changes for Internet explorer in the registry in WM5 and it worked fine (portalmmm/2.0 N500i(c20;TB). The same changes in WM6 doesn't work. Is there any other setting to do ? It looks like the user agent was hardcoded ...
I tried to use MiniMo and it works but it is a bit long to load and not very handy ...
How about Opera Mini?
just try this :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Internet Explorer\User Agent]
"Custom"="portalmmm/2.0 N500i(c20;TB)"
and then reboot your phone... after 10 sec
That's still doesn't work
Thanks for the idea. I tried the setting in the security section but it still doesn't work.
strange as it is working for and my 9100
you can try my hacked opera version (identify as a Nec N500i) : http://depanet.ath.cx:81/opera/8.65/ (beware keygen is infected) it's 8.65 Beta1 version hacked (with proxy settings in Options => Network )
Enjoy.
remember settings for Bouygues FR
[Proxy]
HTTP =62.201.129.248 Port 5080
HTTPS =62.201.129.248 Port 5443
Works fine with Opera
Thank you bebox (and ww2250). It works fine with Opera 8.65
The link you gave doesn't seem available. I download the version from your forum http://qtek9100.forumpro.fr/IMODE-H...865-pour-l-Imode-HD-t5921.htm?highlight=opera

any idea ? or can someone provide me with the WM5 version of explorer.
thks
I couldn't find a way to do this so I slapped this cab together. I empathize the word slapped. Its pretty simple, copy the cab to the device then install. Once installed then execute the program and it will copy all the favorites into the Opera6.adr file.
It will handle folders in the IE Favorites but only the first level. If you have folders in folders then your on your own.
I take no responsibility for what this does to your device and stress I have only tested this on my HD. If you are worried but still want to do this then you might want to backup your Opera6.adr file which is located in the \Windows\Opera9 folder. (This is the only file this program changes)
Have fun
I installed it but cannot see the cab (???). Anywhere. Soft reset. Reinstalled (it syas it installed).
Ideas?

It has no shortcut because it can be harmful in deleting your current Opera Favorites but the executable is in Device\Program Files\ImportIEFav.
@Dalboy
Nice job!
Hehe I like your explanation. It had nothing to do with my laziness at all!
will this work on touch pro cdma?
Does it have the opera file at \windows\opera9\opera6.adr? If so then you could backup the file and try it.
Great idea, but I tried on my HTC touch pro, but when I start to execute, it gave me the error in the picture below.
Installed on mani memory. The execute is located in "progammi" (I'm Italian).
Any help ?
Ok Italian devices would need an Italian version. If you like I can create it but will need some help with my Italian. So if you could help by suppling the paths for:
\Windows\Favorites
and
\Windows\Opera9
In Italian and maybe I should also get the warning label translated too if you could:
This will import all your IE mobile Favorites to Opera. WARNING!!!! It will overwrite all existing Links stored in Opera.
Sorry I forgot the Application Title:
Import Mobile Favorites

Great !!!!
English
\Windows\Favorites
Italiano
\Windows\Preferiti
English
\Windows\Opera9
Italiano
\Windows\Opera9
English
This will import all your IE mobile Favorites to Opera. WARNING!!!! It will overwrite all existing Links stored in Opera.
Italiano
L'applicazione importerà tutti i tuoi Preferiti di IE Mobile in Opera Mobile. ATTENZIONE!!!! Sovrascriverà tutti i Links esistenti archiviati in Opera.
English
Import Mobile Favorites
Italiano
I don't think it's a good idea to change the name of the application translating it in Italian (it sounds like "Importa Preferiti Mobile"). Probably it could be better to explain more clear the goal of the application in the title and only in English... something like "PIE Favorites in PPC Opera" or "PIE/Opera Favorites" or "PIE->Favorites-> Opera".
I'll be gratefull for your Italian version
Thanks in advance
Sorry to busy to test at the moment. I just changed the labels and recompiled.
Tested on my touch pro .... PERFECT !!!
Great
More test tomorrow!!!
Thanks
I'm glad it works for you and I added Touch Pro to the title. Thanks for your help.
thanks for your job
tested on Samsung Omnia with an English windows mobile 6.5 but doesn't work. Program runs but favorites aren't imported.
Hi - just tested on an Xperia running WM6.5 - not working, probably because there is no \windows\opera9 directory.....and I can't seem to find opera6.adr anywhere!
Any tips on where to look?
Cheers!

Could you make a Danish version aswell? Here are the necessary information for he danish edition of Windows Mobile Pro:
English
\Windows\Favorites
Danish
\Windows\Foretrukne
and
English
\Windows\Opera9
Danish
\Windows\Opera9
Thank you
Best regards

Danish version
Ok here is the Danish version.
As to Windows Mobile 6.5 I wouldn't try it at the moment. I have only just moved my device to WM6.5 and it didn't work for me. I found that WM6.5 has a few links that are not standard so corrupt the process.
You could try and remove all the microsoft links first and then try it but I'd be backing up the opera address file first as I didn't get to finish testing as I am in the process of selling/buying a house at the moment and if you've done this before you will know how time consuming this is.
I will have time for this in about 2 months pending my internet getting reconnected. Sorry to winge and run but its all I can do.

Thanks a lot! Or as we say in danish "Mange tak"
Thx dalboy, nice program
My workaround for the german windows:
1. rename the folder "\windows\favoriten" to "\windows\favorites\"
2. run the program
3. rename the folder back.
Btw. As far as i remember you could use SHGetFolderPath with CSIDL_FAVORITES to get the language independent location of the folder. But i'm not sure
I both tried this app (italian version) on my italian Rhodium (Touch Pro2) but in Opera I cannot see any change. It seems the app creates the new file into the Opera9 folder, but Opera simply doesn't see it.
What's wrong?
hello community,
I dont know where to post my problem otherwise so I do it here. It is a Windows Mobile based problem so I have to post it in a section about Windows Mobile
Ok. Lets go I have Opera Mobile 10 (Ninja Duck Edition from here) and everytime I want to open a link from Twitter or email or if I want to open an HTML file, I get the following error message (I try to translate it right )
Opera10-armv4i.exe
Die File "Opera10-armv4i" cannot be openned. It is either not signed with a trusted security certificate, or one of its components can not be found. If the problem persists, try to install the new file or restore.
I use RTT RTM TEN in german language... I know that there can be found a fix here, but this is for WWE ROMs I think because it has the wrong folder structure names...

I hope someone can help me here, because I dont got help in our german forums
Best regards

Hi guys,
I m trying to make a VPN tunnel to make it possible to work in our server with my Android 2.1 HTC Desire phone.
Can this be done with the standard installed VPN configuration tool that comes with Android 2.1? (I have no rooted phone, just the original 2.1 that came with the Desire) If so, how can I set this up correctly?
Our IT-engineer asked my if it is possible to import a so called .PCF certificate on the phone because this is needed according to him. How can a certificate like this one installed on the phone?
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone.....I have this website which I need to visit daily and this site is in silverlight...Can i open this website on my windows mobile 6.1 or is there any plugin that I need to install....PLZ help me!!!!!!
As far as I know, there is no Silverlight plugin for Windows Mobile.
However you can use uZard browser (http ://www .uzard.com/en/down/download.asp) that has Silverlight.
(Sorry for the spaces in the link, can't post links yet)
