WM6.5 native, how to mute an incoming call? - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

I have Dutty's HG R9 on my TD2, and using TD Tools 3 I've switched off the HTC Phone Dialer Canvas.
I do have the "mute ring on phone facedown" option enabled, but it doesn't seem to take effect.
When my phone is locked and I receive a call, I get a green accept slider and a red ignore slider. The ignore slider does the same thing as the End/hangup key - sends the call to voicemail. I don't see a way to simply silence the ringer without taking any action regarding the incoming call itself.
When my phone is not locked and I receive a call, I get a popup from the bottom of the screen, in black & white, with an answer button and a hangup button. Pressing the hangup button does the same thing as the End/hangup key - sends the call to voicemail. I don't see a way to simply silence the ringer without taking any action regarding the incoming call itself.
How, using the basic WM6.5 phone-is-ringing software (not sure if this is the Dialer? anyway...) with the HTC Phone Dialer canvas switched off by TD Tools 3, can I mute an incoming call withOUT rejecting / sending it to voicemail?
Thanks!

Eliminate "Print via Bluetooth" menu option?
I have Dutty's HG R9 on my TD2. I would like to eliminate the Print via Bluetooth menu option. How do I turn that off?
Thanks,
Jay

Prevent "the answering modem has disconnected" pop-up entirely?
I have Dutty's HG R9 on my TD2. Each time I restart the device, before it asks me for my device unlock password and my SIM unlock PIN, I get the annoying "The answering modem has disconnected" pop-up.
Of course the answering modem has disconnected - the phone is still off!
How do I disable this pop-up, at least so that I don't see it when the phone is actually off (and the software shouldn't be trying to make a data connection through the phone then anyway)?
Or if that fine grain of control isn't possible, how do I disable the message completely at all times?
Thanks,
Jay

You can silence the ring by touching the volume key one time.

Nope, the volume slider/rocker doesn't affect the volume, either with the phone locked or unlocked, once it starts to ring... :-(

Then there's something wrong, because it works for me.

Set phone to quiet ring on pickup in Sounds and Display settings.
Not sure how to get it to mute, maybe S2U2 can do this, or find another dialer with this capability.

There is no "quiet ring on pickup" under Sounds and Display settings in this WM6.5.5 based build...

Is there still no solution? I also would like to mute a incoming call... like the old phone canvas...
Any ideas?

Try Advanced Configuration Tools.

Incoming call notification

Sometimes people call and I dont want to answer and instead continue working on the PDA, is there a way I can turn off the incoming call bubble?
You should have one of the soft keys display "dismiss" and that would make the call and the bubble go away....
or turn on flight mode to disable calls

Voice Command on Mute

I use the feature in Voice Command to announce incomming callers so I know who is calling me without looking at my phone. I have set my ringers to none, so all I hear is the name of the person who is calling. However, for some reason, Voice Command seems to ignore the system volume, and still works when I have the phone set to mute.
Does anyone know of away to force Voice Command to adhere to the system volume so my phone does not go off in class or when i am at work. It doesn't happen all the time, but I know when pressing the voice command button even when the phone is mutted, it will unmute the phone and still sound the beep and confirm your commands, then put the phone back on mute. It might be a bug that exists because of this feature, but if there is anyway i can disable it, that would be great! I don't mind having to turn my volume up when using voice command to here the command confirmations, becase having the incomming callers not going off randomly is more important.
Thanks!!!
This is what I do
Go to settings, then click on Voice Command Settings. Highlight the word 'Phone', then press options. Uncheck the box that says 'announce incoming calls'. As far as I know, this is the only way to make the voice silent when a call is recieved.
Thanks....I was hoping there was a way to do this without having to change the settings everytime I have class, but I guess not. I think its just a bug anyway because it only happens sometimes. Guess I'll have to go back to good ol' ringtones....
How do you turn the ringer off, by turning the volume all the way down with the volume slider? By clicking the speaker and then clicking off?
I hold the comm button until it goes into vibrate mode then I use the volume slider to go down to off and VC has never announced the calls when the ringer is off.

is there any only one button to do it? just silence?
You want the phone to continue ringing but just silence it?
Because when you get a call in the bottom there is "answer" and "ignore". Then again if you press ignore the one calling is directed to voicemail or just hung up.
As far as I know thats the only way to immediately mute a phonecall, just press ignore.
And otherwise just use the volume slider when someone is calling. Or put the phone on vibrate when you need silence (which is also volume slider all the way down, or put it on vibrate via the com-manager).
thanks. you mean only way to silence it using volume slider when want to continue ringing. i don't want to ignore calling. the caller must be think i didn't hear the ringing...
hehe lol
Perhaps an extra program on the device would work. Inesoft Addressbook might support it.
Have it here somewhere, can check later today if it indeed has a mute button.
Just to say it more clearly: If you move the volume slider one time in any direction, the phone will mute imediately!
I think this was not understood correctly before - this is the one-key-solution you wanted, isnt it?
thanks... it works!!!

how to disable phone button when reciving an incomming call??

Hi
I need to tweak the HD. When receiving an incoming cal (e.g. when my phone is in the jacket) it’s very easy to hit the phone button by mistake. Is it possible to disable the phone button when receiving an incoming call so the only way to answer the call is by sliding the screen?

why ringtones only ringing for 17 secconds

no matter what ringtones i use they only ring for 17 seconds is there a setting or way to alter this.
and how can i silence an incoming call. id like the option to answer the call or press a silence button so the other caller still
thinks the call is ringing and that the call has not just been rejected.
thanks

Sounds like your calls get diverted to voicemail after 20 seconds (takes approx 3 seconds for the phone to ring on an incomming call). Setting your divert can be network dependant, but if you go into phone settings, there is an option called "divert" which yoy can change. Be warned - if on vodafone or other similar networks, the network handles the call diversion. However if you change this, you may be charged for the phone diverting calls to voice mail.
To mute the phone on incomming call, simply turn the phone face down on the desk. This should mute the ringer. If this does not work, you need to install HD Tweek or similar to set this option.
yes mate your right my phone does get divertd to voicemail but i was getting 29 seconds i think it was on my nokia n95 when that was set to divert. on orange you cant set divert on or of by the phone you have to ring the network but cancel divert.
as for the silence calls on flip if i have the phone in my pocket and someone calls the flip does not work as i have no surface to lay it flt on i just tried it .
so if anyone else has no solution the only thing i can think of is
1 cancel call divert with my network and hope there is a third party software that can manage my voice mail . any recommendations ?
2 any recommendations of any software to silence calls by press of a button ?
thanks
ok i managed to get the ringtone to ring longer before it goes to voicemail .
