at&t N1 screen stops responding when plugged in? - Nexus One General

I just switched from the tmobile n1 to the at&t version a few days ago.
Running CM 5.0.5 for a few days now (was running CM 5.0.3 on the tmobile one).
Sometimes when i plug in the the at&t phone the screen stops responding properly. I click one part of the screen and another part is being clicked.
unplugging wont help, only a reboot.
This never happened on my tmobile n1.
is anyone else having this issue? if so are you running CM or Stock firmware?
Thanks.

Phone Turns Off Sometimes After Hang Up

Does anyone's Nexus S ever just shut itself off after making a phonecall? Like after you are about to hang up, the phones just OFF. And it takes like 30 seconds-1 minute of holding the power button to get it to boot up again.
I haven't had that issue with mine, atleast not yet.

Hmm strange. Did you update to 2.3.3? How long ago did you get the phone?

I'm still on 2.3.2. Had the phone since end of December.
It's just a weird problem. Like you know how when you hold the phone against your ear to talk, the screen goes black to save battery? And when you pull the phone away from your ear the screen is supposed to light back up. Except mine just stays black and the person on the other line hangs up, my phone just ends up turned off for some reason.
never heard of this problem.
mine has same issue on 2.3.2. now i'm waiting for update to see if resolved

I've heard of this issue on pre-2.3.3 and it seems to be resolved in the new update so I'd try to update if I were you.
I haven't gotten the 2.3.3 update to show up yet. I'm currently rooted via the method where the bootloader is still locked.

Hi, I have started having this issue just today.
I am running stock 2.3.3 rooted with KB3 base radio and netarchy's kernel 1.2.5.
The odd thing is that today was the first time it happened but it happened twice both times after i finished a call to the same person. So far it has only happened when i have been on a call with this person, but all other calls seem fine... very odd.
anyone have any ideas whats causing this? dont know if it has something to do with the baseband radio... i upgraded to KB3 from KB1 only yesterday and (perhaps coincidentally) the reboot after hang up started today...

The first thing you should do for instability problems is wipe and go bone latest stock and see how many days you can go with no problems.

[Q] SIM Removed Error

Hello,
A few hours after I reboot my phone, it will act as though I've removed my SIM (emergency calls only, no text, no data). Restarting the phone fixes the issue for a few more hours, but it's quite annoying to have to turn my phone off and on so often. I'm rooted on MF3, and was running Google Edition 4.2.2 through SS when the issue first appeared, though I have since returned to stock and the issue still exists. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
DorkCat
I am having the same issue, did you ever get this sorted out? My phone is MDB running cm11. I hate to send the phone back... again. My camera crapped out on the first phone. I hate to send it back since I am sure I'll end up with MF3.
Thanks,
Travis

[Q] Weird issues after 4.3 upgrade

I recently installed 4.3 by doing an upgrade on my unrooted S4. I noticed a few things and was wondering if anyone else was having the same problems.
1. LTE is expanding in my area so I constantly go in and out of 3G and LTE service. Sometimes when this happens data just stops ****ing working until I enter airplane mode and then come back out of it (a reset works as well). For some reason (or is it just a coincidence?) the problem seems to have amplified since installing 4.3. Is this just a result of Sprint's ****ty network or am I dealing with a hardware issue?
2. Ever since the upgrade, 3 of my generic chargers stopped functioning. There is nothing wrong with the chargers, they work fine on other devices but when I plug them into my S4... I get nothing. 2 chargers are the same brand while the 3rd is a different brand. I have had 0 issues with these chargers pre-update. The stock charger, my car charger, and another generic charger consistently work without issue though. Anyone having any charger issues?
3. I have all visual effects disabled using developer options. Ever since I installed this update the phone keeps reactivating "transition animation scale" to 1x. It isn't even done when the phone restarts, it is just completely random. I will pick up my phone and the damn transition is there again. Any idea as to WTF the problem is?

No connectivity

Well I think I have tried just about everything, but I thought I'd check first to see if anyone else has ran into this and fixed it.
Yesterday my S5 just decided it didn't want to connect to the VZW network anymore. I was running Alliance ROM at the time, but I Odin'ed back to complete stock and it is still not connecting. Wifi, bluetooth, etc. all works fine though.
I took my SIM card out and put it in my wife's S4 and it connects fine so it's not my SIM. I tried reseating my SIM about 20 times and still no love.
Any thoughts?
I'm having a similar issue. Had my s5 for a week now and it keeps dropping data whenever it feels like. Then comes back on randomly I'm going to swap it out for another one. If the new one still bad I'm going back to my trusty s4 (need to replace digitizer)

Wifi no longer working

The Wifi on my old Vzw 10 no longer connects to any source.
Unlocked S off running Santod stock Oreo rom, was running perfectly fine for a while, the wifi issue is recent, tried a dirty flash to see if it would come back but no.
I've had it since they came out, last summer I left it on the back of my truck and it ended up in the road and someone drove over it, shattering the screen, but it still worked perfectly fine, could receive texts and calls. Had the glass replaced and was using this for my wife, wondering if it's just time to upgrade her.
Everything else seems fine, just no wifi connection, even on my unprotected home network.

Try factory reset, then RUU to stock, and if it still doesn't work its a hardware issue
