Don't get my wrong, pinch-to-zoom is great.
But the one multi-touch gesture -- which is in Windows 7 -- which I was actually most looking forward to in the HD2 is missing:

}
Anyone else feel like HTC under-did the multi-touch in the HD2?
I don't know about everyone else, but the latest ROM -- latest EnergyROM -- on my HD2 has Opera Mobile 10 BETA, which lacks multi-touch pinch-to-zoom. I don't even miss it. The tap-to-zoom-in/double tap-to-zoom-out works perfectly for me.
The above multi-touch gesture would really enhance life on the HD2, however, and by the looks of the WP7S demos, Microsoft has carried over the press-and-hold for menus rather than incorporating this brilliant idea from Windows 7.
I don't know about everyone else, but I can press-and-tap faster than I can press-and-hold...
hmmm, maybe this is of interest to you, if you want to get more out of touch recognition

That doesn't appear to offer the gesture I'm looking for.

I hope it's not a re-post. I've searched this topic but nothing come up.
It is a combination of myHTC and S2U2.
However, it saves your device a lot of storage space.

The UI works fast and that´s good, but in the other hand is too simple that doesn´t allow any customization.... too bad!
i've seen posts before
but yeah i think it does allow for customization, somewhat.. no one has even put any effort into it tho so pretty sure no one here has any clue of it's potentials.
Look here

Do you think we can extract this and put on the HD. We need a solution to rival the iPhone

guys. try http://iphone.facebook.com on your touch hd.
as well as any optimized iphone websites. works like a charm for me
http://iphone.netvibes.com
http://www.digg.com/iphone/
http://iphone.foodnetwork.com/
etc.
I always used snap2face (Now known as SkyBook) on my Kaiser. (HD is in a delivery van now!)
http://www.magnifoca.com/products.html
Really liked the ability to import facebook profile pictures into WM Outlook.... Very cool.
Snap2Face is slow, its design crude and its functionality dreadful. We need a proper dedicated facebook app and this Xperia panel looks the ticket.
please can someone get this working on a HD... I would be willing to make a Paypal donation and I am sure others will too...
The way Sony Ericsson is trying to fragment the windows mobile community with its exclusive 'panels' is really negative..
still nothing??!
Theres even a facebook app for Android now, but yet again WM gets left out in the cold. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??!

BUMP for the sake of the Windows Mobile community
I hope everyone has been keeping up with the Point UI Home 2 development. These guys are coming up with some pretty creative stuff. The newest addition has been Point Sense Suite, a replication of the Point Sense UI found on the HTC Hero.
Have a look!

Thanks, just as I finish up applying various programs to complete my iPhoney© interface, for the Samsung Saga - to a very usable and enjoyable state... you show me this... I will definitely be looking into this, looks great!
I have it. I like it, but v2 hopefully will fix bugginess.
I would highly recommend every xperia owner give it a try.
I got TF3D2, PointUI PointSense, and SPB 3.0 Korean hacked panel. I have to say I like the look and feel of PointSense the most, but TF3D2 is still my favorite for greater integration and bug-free operation. PointUI PointSense is getting REAL close, though, and I have been using almost exclusively for last few days.
Hi there ^^!!
I was wondering if any of you developers is already or would like to work on a game Nokia Bounce like for Android.

I'm not a developer, so I could only use... play with it
I already know about BallVenture, but it's not exactly the same
What do you think about it ??
Yes, I'd go with that!
I woke my old Nokia 6600 up to accomodate my new simyo sim, and first thing I did with it was play Bounce!
Been searching for a long time now, but there isn't such a thing. I prefer the old version, nog the 3D they made for nGage later on.
Unfortunately I'm no programmer either, wanted to learn Java, but never got to it (apart from buying some books)
Anyone?
Greetz, Patric
Have you tried the .jar file in J2ME runner from netmite or jbed?
It could work for someone, but, since my phone is only touch, no keyboard, as lot's of android phones, how can I play with it ?
No D-pad? or ball?
Nope, I'm a "proud" owner of an xPeria X8, & probably in the future of an HD2, but I'm not sure about that.
No problemo, fire up Bounce with netmite's runner and push the menu key and choose D-pad. Now you have an onscreen D-pad!
I'm coming from the ASUS TRANSFORMER thread, but I'm sure you guys may be insterested in that post about windowed applications on Android :

Yes. Google windriver. Something with Intel I believe. But I use the calculator and love it. I really hope android goes into this direction with some of its apps. That in my option would be great for multitasking. Kudos to the developer for discovering how to do this without root though.

These apps are really cool. Thanks for the heads up... The air calc I've put into my ADWEX dock and I can use it on any screen. Stick it definately works with YouTube...I'll have to see what else it does.
this would be nice. Maemo on my N900 already does this and ya don't know how nice it is to swap screens.
