Required:
- Windows desktop based Registry Editor such as CERegEdit
- Replacement Welcome and Shutdown screen image files (below)
Optional:
- Windows Mobile File Explorer such as Resco Explorer 2010
- Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 View attachment NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab
- Microsoft .net Config Tool View attachment netcfcfg.cab
Additional OPTIONAL Step
- ROM Reflash as described in this thread
- this ONLY results in removal of the Orange splash screen; the rest of the process described below is still needed.
- This also introduces a significantly greater level of risk and should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and take full responsibilty for any unintended consequences.
- Please read thoroughly ! Especially the caveats posted by @cedesmith as author of the TGTool.

Part 1 - Carry out Hard Reset (Master Clear)
Either:
1.1 Power off; Press Power button while at the same time press and hold Camera AND Volume Up. When green light comes on / vibrates, release Power. Then follow on screen prompts to execute HR.
OR:
1.2 Go Start|Settings|System then tap Master Clear. Enter code '1234' to confirm.
1.3 Allow device to initiate cold boot. White TOSHIBA appears on black background, followed by Orange Windows screen and message
"Tap the screen to set up.... " DO NOT TAP !

Part 2 - Remove unwanted .cab Files prior to startup
Start CeRegEdit (NB. if you are running Vista / Win 7 you will need to be logged in as an Administrator)
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Toshiba\AutoCabInstall
- DELETE all Values in this section that you do not want to retain.
- If you have a licenced copy of Core Player, will also wish to remove this so you can install the later version now available separately.

WARNING:
- From here on you are making significant Registry changes; however if things don't end up working as desired, this IS fully recoverable, BUT will entail doing a fresh Hard Reset.
- If you are not happy with these detailed edits, suggest skip to Step 4.
- All changes CAN also be made by individually editing the multitude of Settings (eg. Network, email, etc.) directly on the TG01.
Part 3 - Clean up Registry

Part 4 - Boot into Windows
NOW you can tap the screen and proceed to the usual Align Screen stage.
HINT - when carrying out screen alignment, make your taps very precise and GENTLE. This will maximise both pointing accuracy AND sensitivity.

Part 5 - Remove unwanted Shortcuts from Start Menu
Open your TG01 in Windows or File Explorer:
- Go to ..\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
DELETE Orange Maps.lnk (NB. if in File Explorer on the mobile you won't be able to see the .lnk extension)
(You can also remove shortcuts to any other built-in apps which you don't want, eg. calculator, if replacing with a more swept-up version)

Part 6 - Replace Orange Welcome and Shutdown screens with generic Windows ones:
- Copy the following two files FIRST to your device or uSD Card; then across to ..\Windows directory.
- Ignore the warning messages about overwriting.
- NB. This will NOT work using either Copy|Paste from the desktop via AS/WMDC OR the built-in File Explorer.
- It WILL work if you install a suitable 3rd party file explorer such as Resco Explorer 2010. This also incorporates a very useful on-board Registry Editor and is highly recommended.

Part 7 - Add a Soft Power Off Shortcut (exactly the same function as the hardware button)
- Unzip and copy the following shortcut (.lnk file) to ..\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Part 8 - Test the shortcut by going Start | Power Off (Icon with Red circle and White cross).
- Press the hardware Power button to reboot
- On reboot, you should be greeted by the Windows start screen and as fully soft de-branded a device as is currently possible.

Part 9 - Supplementary improvements:
Add Microsoft .net Mobile Framework 3.5 and .net Config Manager
- Install View attachment NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab
- Install View attachment netcfcfg.cab
Then open .Net Configuration (Icon in Start Menu) and check you have:
.Net Compact Framework versions installed:
3.5.7283.0
2.0.7045.0 (ROM)
Go to Device Policy tab and select 'Run unconfigured applications with the following'
3.5.7283 and then tap 'Apply'; Close

Part 10 - Strongly Recommended:
Install a suitable on-device File Explorer / Registry Editor (eg. Resco Explorer 2010)
Install a suitable Backup app (eg. Sprite Backup, Resco Backup or SPB Backup)
Now make a 'Master' Backup so you can easily get back to a 'clean' build after your next Hard Reset without having to repeat the above process !
Edit: Experience has shown that while a Master Backup is still really good for certain aspects (eg. all your own Operator Settings which WILL get restored to the Registry following an HR, unfortunately because the above process also deletes lots of Keys/Values, these will stay in place post-HR. Basically restoring the Master Backup will overwrite any values, but it doesn't delete anything.

When i open up ceregedit it doesnt detect my tg01 so i cant get into the reg files. Is there something special i need to do to get ceregedit to detect my phone - im connected via usb.

& i thought i was 'brutal' with last bedrand... you've taken way more off than i even knew was there...
i just swapped to o2 PAYG & these settings (even without a hard reset) really helped strip out the orange (perhaps they should rename to brown) MMS / internet etc
FYI (to the board ~ kevin'll know this already)
a LOT of these settings can be removed without a hard reset, but it would be better to start from a fresh install if possible
but (if like me) you already did the auto cab install remove, then you can still delete the settings mentioned above.

if on vista/win7 - you must run ceregedit as a administrator
the phone must have made a active sync connection with windows (NOT just show up in win explorer) or ceregedit wont detect it.

You're welcome I've edited links to each of the 3 principle Backup solutions own websites into the first post. I'd say they are broadly similar, but each tend to have their own enthusiasts. Suggest a quick trawl on XDA and other forums for feedback and then 'try before you buy' where a trial version is available to check out.

I don't think the Orange boot screen is on the phone - I think is hard coded in the ROM and written into the equivalent of the Bootstrap Flash chip on a PC - so is the same as the Asus or whoever's logo splash screen you get when you start up your desktop (assuming POST isn't set to display).

These are two different things. The Keys you identified above relate to the Root Certificates. I've shown in more detail in the attached picture:

We are deleting all the Orange specific Certificates which I don't think will now be required but keeping the two generic ones marked in red.
The Toshiba Stripes menu system is controlled from the Registry but a different part - this wasn't included in the above process, but it will be possible to disable in a similar manner. The configuration of each Stripe is included in a set of Keys here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Toshiba\RegistrySettings\MainMenu
There may be other Keys which also contain references, but I havn't searched for those as yet. In the meantime, the Toshiba Stripes UI can simply be 'switched off' by deselecting in the Today Settings just like the Windows Titanium UI.

Please see Post#12 above - it appears hard coded in the ROM NAND and so far we are unable to find any way of replacing - until such time as there is a viable independent ROM which a number of dedicated people are working hard to achieve.

There is nothing to stop you doing a Hard Reset (Master Clear) and starting the whole process from square one. However if you have already part set up your device, you can do most of the changes retrospectively as well, but you probably won't end up with as thorough a 'spring clean'.
The ideal is to start with a HR, go through step by step until happy and then make a Master Backup so that when you do a future HR you can quickly get right back to a known clean state.
If you have already installed various Apps, worthwhile saving the Settings for those (many have a built-in function) as again will make it easy to restore their configuration 'just so' following a clean reinstall.

they recommend after HR, when the calibration screen appears, to connect to PC and place in Windows directory using Active sync an emply file called wceload.exe
they claim that none of the operator autocabs will be installed this way.
I am a complete beginner in WM but I would appreciate your opinion on this procedure, even theoretical

Touch Settings (development ceased) v.2.2 - Change EVERYTHING on your cube!

This application lets you customise your HTC's spinning 'cube' faces in many ways, changing icons, layout, which applications are launched, etc. You can change the following:
- Your Music/Pictures/Video programs (change which apps and titles)
- Your 3x2 APLauncher on the cube (change the apps, icons and titles)
- Layout of your APLauncher; positioning of icons, etc*
- Additional APLauncher Cube faces*
- Your Weather Location to be far more specific (i.e. not the limited in-built city selection)
- Your weather options (auto-update settings, etc.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The app is no longer being developed - see this post. However, you may still request support from other kind users on this forum thread and I can confirm that it works well on the HTC Touch GSM (Elf). Users have also had success using it on the Sprint Touch, Vogue, OKTA, Touch Dual and Polaris, plus other mobile devices that have HTC TouchFlo correctly installed on them.
See the screenshots below for more info.
A lot of this is achieved via registry changes, on older HTC Touch devices (e.g. GSM Elf), a patched version of mediahubmini.exe is installed due to limitations of the in-built applications.
Installation instructions - Version 2.0 Onwards:
1. Copy the CAB to your device and run it.
Installation instructions - Older versions (before 2.0)
1. DELETE the file MediaHubMini.lnk from your \Windows\Startup directory and reboot... OR just terminate the process MediaHubMini.exe using memmaid, SKTools or another program.
2. Install the attached CAB file.
3. Run the app. (Start Menu -> Programs -> Touch Settings)
4. Click 'Save', reset again (close all apps, and power off your device properly first - otherwise changes may be lost!) and now your changes should be active.
Troubleshooting / Bugs
- If you enter an invalid path, then when you click Pictures or Videos, the device will freeze and you will see the spinning egg-timer forever. Reset, load the config app again and double check you have got the EXACT path to the executable correct.
- If you get an error that you could not install the cab because of "insufficient system priviledges / insufficient system permissions:
- Look into the settings of your device security model - check out this post for more information, or download Microsoft's Device Security Manager to alter your settings.
- Try the manual install version instead. See post on page three as well.

if you have a ROM that already included any version of "biotouch settings", you can also install this, just by deleting the link (as in the instructions) in Windows\Startup and reseting.

Thanks for this - I've had a look and you're absolutely right. The weather lists come directly from the accuWeather.com website, and they use a different system for North America. In fact, it's easier for me to just build the XML file into the app as there are incompatabilities with their 'zipcode' format and some of the home plugins.
Please try the new version v1.22 of the app and you should be able to select from many US cities. (Install to storage card perhaps as it's a bit larger now)

No! Please DON'T try to install using this method!. This version uses a different patch of mediahubmini.exe, so it WON'T work properly. In particular, the choice of "Other" for your music app won't work if you do it this way.
That's precisely why I wrote the installation instructions the way that I did.
Please could you edit your post to discourage this, as I don't have time to deal with the support requests that it would cause.

There is a default package in first post. "MediaHubMini_Original_Unpatched.zip" to be exact. That should put things back to default if I understand correctly.

The media hub is one thing but the cube is another.
It had some parameters which I didn't make a not of before I changed apps and icons

Hi, I tried manual install (you wrote : If you get an error that you could not install the cab because of "insufficient system priviledges, try the manual install version instead) different ways, active sync, copy to program files, but I cant get the ap worktng, what i'm doing wrong

All you need on your Wing

After spent a lot of time research on this site, I finally got my T-Mobile Wing running in the way I want to.
I just want to thank you for all your efforts and timely responds. Without them, I will have my Wing, but can’t fly.
I also want to share all the CAB files and tweaking tips that I learned. Hope this can help people who are searching for them. They are as followed:
1. Change Page Pool Size; Thanks Paul and Slvrbllt
- Step 1: Download Quick Page Pool Size Changer.zip and extract the zip file.
- Step 2: Copy the ITSUTILS_Preperation.cab to the phone and run it.
- Step 3: Run “backup.bat” then run “6mb pool.bat”. ** It was suggested to run at 6mb but please use your own judgment.
- Step 4: Soft reset (re-boot) the phone.
2. Overclock
- Step 1: Download BatteryStatus.0.0.4.cab. Copy to the phone and run it.
- Step 2: Goto Programs --> BatteryStatus --> omap --> check all four boxes and chose speed to "247" and click on "set".
** I am running at 247 mhz. But I have seem some people overclock to a higher speed. Use your own judgment to do so.
3. Total Commander.cab – Registry editor
- Step: Copy to the phone and run it. ** the cab file WILL NOT be deleted after install. Please delete it manually.
4. psShutXP.cab – Soft restart tool (this comes really handy during the modification)
- Step: Copy to the phone and run it.
5. HTC Home 5Tab patched.cab - HTC 5 button screen -- updated on 09/11/07
- Step: Copy to the phone and run it.
** Just realized there is a proxy issue in updating weather. Please use the updated file "HTC Home 5Tab patched.cab". (Thanks for WarezApps and N2A. N2A's origional thread can be find at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319187)
6. HTC 10-Button Comm Manager.cab – HTC 10 Button Comm Manager
- Step 1: Copy to the phone and run it.
- Step 2: (Fixing WLAN button malfunction, somehow it doesn’t work by default on Wing): **Thanks for beowulf6’s post for this fix.
Change "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \HTC \CommManager \WLAN= "Windows WLanMgr.exe " "DeviceName" = "{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006} TNETW12345"
the end of this long String is the WLAN-Adaptername of the Device.
just change in this Example "TNETW12345" into "TNETWLN1"
-Step 3: (Fixing Wi-Fi setting launch issue) **Thanks for phatman81’s post for this fix.

Increase File System Cache
HKLM\System\StorageManager\FATFS/CacheSize: 0 => 4096
Remove or modify the startup jingle on a soft boot
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\StartupAnimation/Enabled: 1 => 0
Change Thickness of Scrollbars
(horizontal) HKLM\System\GWE\cyHScr: 13 => 9
(vertical) HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr: 13 => 9
** Smaller number means thiner line. Not sure why changing this. I personally like 13 better.

Above are what I have on my Wing. They are tested and currently running. However, please do this in your risk and there is no guarantee they will work on yours (I really don’t see the reason why, but you never know).
The only thing I can think it's missing on the Wing now is an "Auto Keylock" program. Can someone help me with this?

Not sure why it did that. They work fine on mine. I have like 12M program memory free.
Did you change the registry for "Increase Font Cache" and "Increase File System Cache"? Try to put them back to the default and see if it is still happening.
If it's possible, can you restore the phone back to factory default and start over? "Program" --> "storage clean". This will clean out all your files and start from the begining.

Make sure you have a folder called "Temporary Internet Files" on your SD card. It usually creates by itself but I am not sure why in your case.

Did you do "\Storage Card\Temporary Internet Files"?? or just "Storage Card\Temporary Internet Files"?? You need the "\" in front of Storage Card.

how can u not have a microSD for your Wing. Having memory card with a pocket pc is essential. I suggest you stop driving your car for the next week and use the gas money to get atleast a 1gb....or you can be brave and go w/o a car for a month and cop the 4gb microSDHC.
I tend to get my memory cards before the phone even comes...what good is a WM phone if you can't cram it full with you favourite programs, songs, music videos, ebooks,etc.

'Touch Settings' Program for Vogue (aka Sprint Touch)

First - thank you to Carlos for his hard work on the original version and now for taking the time to update it for those of us using Sprint's touch. I'm starting this as a separate thread since the new beta version will have many issues unrelated to the original versions.
And, unfortunately, I get to start off with my first issue which occurs upon execution of the program.
A few moments after starting the program I get the follow error message...
System.ArgumentException: An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr() at System.Drawing.Bitmap._InitFromMemoryStream() at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor() at TouchSettings.Form1.load PBpictureFromPath()

And then the error message scrolls off the screen without scroll bar for me to see what else it says...
Upon clicking the "OK" button, the program continues to load to the App Launcher screen.
Upon load, the App Launcher screen is empty. The screenshot, icons, path and program title are not populated.
When I click on the empty box where the screenshot should be located I get the same as as before and the program exits.
I can populate the App name and path fields and can also ad an Icon -- but only for one program. When I save and reset however, the app name, path and icons are not retained.
When returning to the program after the first entry, I continue to receive the same error and the App Launcher screen is again blank.
In Media Hub:
First - the screenshot displayed is from the other version of the Touch screens...with the bluegreen icons -- not yellow. I assume you know that, but just wanted to mention it.
The "Sprint Music" fields default to the ATC Audio Manager which, to my understanding, does not come on the Touch. I've already installed AudioManager so the link worked fine -- but I'd suggest defaulting it to Sprint's Java-based Music ap just like the stock set up (less confusion for noobs)
Sprint TV seems to work as expected.
On Demand also worked as expected.
I changed the settings for On Demand to point to \windows\HTCAlbum.exe, however, and upon re-boot I received the following error when trying to run it from the cube:
The file " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

Weather appears to display properly. I haven't had a chance to test the auto update feature yet.
On the bright side - the About screen works perfectly. It's just as easy to send Carlos a beer as it was before!
Given that we'll soon have a Vogue forum started I also assume you'll probably want to update the Support Thread to include a link for "Sprint Support"??

Same problems still having problems with the app loader portion of the settings. The other settings work as they should.

ok well i made custom PNG's for Slingplayer mobile and opera, if anyone needs custom images let me know im makin em. BUt i need the sprint program to implement the images!

the original "Touch Settings" program that you're referring to will work with the Sprint Touch without any problems. You just have to know what you're doing....
Step 1: Download TaskMgr and copy to your phone. Place TaskMgr in the \windows\start menu\programs\ folder of your device.
Step 2: Run the TaskMgr program you just put on your device. Upon opening TaskMgr, a list of running processes will be displayed. You want to terminate the following processes; biotouch.exe, quickdial.exe, mediahubmini.exe and aplauncher.exe. To do this, select each one individually and then tap the "Close" button on the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Download and install the TouchFlo Alpha cab below.
- 3a: upon successful completion of the installation you will be prompted to "Reset" your device. Click "NO".
4. navigate to the \windows\startup folder and delete any new links that were created.
5. navigate to the \windows\start menu\programs folder and delete "touchflo"
6. Download and install the Touch Settings Cab below. Again, at the completion of the installation it will prompt you to restart your device. SELECT NO!. You are not ready to reset your device just yet.
7. Now that you've killed the 4 processes, installed the touchflo alpha cab and the touch settings cab, we're almost done. Navigate to the \windows\startup folder and delete the mediahubmini link.
8. Soft Reset Device.
9. Launch "Touch Settings" program from the Start Menu.
10. BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE CUBE CLICK "SAVE". WAIT APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE AND THEN SOFT RESET AGAIN.
11. Run Touch Settings again and start customizing.

Hi guys and thx Haggar and others for bug reports - I think I may have some theories as to what's going wrong.
I made a new test build for you to try out - the CAB is attached below. (REMOVED, SEE LATER POST FOR UPDATED VERSION) Please install and let me know how you get on. It should create a log file called log.txt in the app directory which you can attach to your post in case of any problems:
QUESTIONS:
1. Does it now work?
2. If not, what happens?
3. If not, please attach the log file.
4. When you go to the "About" screen, it says "Detected Device:" at the top - what is the detected device?
@utexas - I'm not sure what your instructions are referring to, but please ignore these peeps, as it would be best for us to try to get the app working properly with the Sprint without resorting to loading older versions of the TOuchFLO software onto your devices.
Finally, does anybody have a Sprint that they HAVENT yet installed Touch Settings onto? If so, please could somebody zip up a copy of \Windows\MediaHubMini.exe for me from your Sprint device and send it to me? This should be BEFORE installing any Touch Settings software, as this patches over the executable, and I'd like a copy of the NEW MediaHubMini.exe that comes with your device, so I can see if I need to release a new patch. If anyone has recently hard reset their device, then the file will be on your device unaltered.

I've attached the log.txt file... still generating errors... looking for bitmaps (brns) that it cannot load... example... looking for \windows\AL_03.brn... this file is indeed located in the indicated location so not sure what the problem is...I tried to make and save a change to the launcher and now I get no images in the 3x2 launcher.

same here. but what i figured out about "no images in the launcher" is the path are all set to "\\" instead of just one "\". so i use memmaid to fix it in the registry and the cube is fine again.

Thanks for all the log files etc. It's now very clear what the issue is - simply that the newer version of the touch uses BRN files instead of PNG files for its icons! BRN is a proprietary format, basically a BMP with header information removed and some other changes; there's information elsewhere on this site about it.
So... ...to get Touch Settings working on the Sprint, I'll have to build BRN support into the program, which is going to involve:
1. Studying the file format and finding out more info. ([HREF="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325424"]this thread[/HREF] is a good starting point)
2. OR approaching the author of the BMP2BRN program to ask if he'd allow me to use his source code inside Touch Settings.
....if anyone can help with either of these, please do! Touch Settings is written in vb.net CF.
Until then, might I suggest you go about trying to use .PNG files instead for the time being, and report back to the forum to let us know if they work instead of BRN files! I will release a new build of Touch Settings asap which side-steps the error messages and displays blank icons for the time being, just so as you can use the program.. ..it will work fine, it just won't display the icons for you!

My log file also had the same info. Thanks for all your hard work Carlos. A friend of mine also has a touch that does not have any settings program installed. Let me know if you need any other files.

lol i had a post earlier about PNG and BRN files. Basically i want to be able to just chang the icons text and path. I dont care about the BG color, how how the cube rotates. I made my own CUstom PNG's for the 3X2 launcher, and i made a custom one for the media hub. I made them all the same size on accident, but for the sprint touch do i need to convert the PNG's to BRN files then where do i save them in my phones directory?
anyone have the dimensions for the 3X2 and the media hub. I made them all
119 by 105. ?? Is there an easy way to change the size to the size for the media hub because i believe that is the size for the 3X2. Any help is appreciated!

I see from reading another thread you've already got the source code for "BrnConvert"... does this meet your needs or do you need anything else?
Let us know what we can do to aid your efforts... 1.29c was close but I had to clean up my registry to remove all the double slashes in the image and program paths and obviously the brn issue you noted...

Hello everyone - I think I may be nearly there!
I've certainly got BRN support working on my original touch, anyway, so let's see if this new build works for you.
CAB file attached below, usual installation instructions apply. (see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324556)
Please let me know if the icons are displaying correctly, and any other feedback re: usage. Should be the correct colour mediahub logo too!

PS: Sprint owners, for completeness, you may want to copy the newer mediahubmini.exe into your \Windows\ directory (attached) as my prog overwrites it with a slightly older version. My tests have shown this shouldn't be a problem, but it's up to you. Note to older Touch users: do NOT use this newer version of mediahubmini.exe you will run into problems with your touch screen.

so we install the cab then just replace the EXE file after.
also carlos, if i want to make my own icons
1. can they be the same size for the media hub and 3X2
2. Do they need to be BRN style, i made them PNG (but i can convert to BMP then to BRN.)
3. Where do i save them on my phone.
4. i have the sprint touch!

A variant of notiweather_wallpaper by superflysocal
So first I want to say tanks you to superflysocal to give me the idea of this release and allow me to use the wallpapers he use for his application.
When I saw is application I wanted to do the same with HTC Home Weather without using S2U2.
So my application read the HTC Home Weather and change the background wallpaper today according with the last weather update.
It's made when you power on your PDA if the weather have change since the last time you powered on.
Maybe if someone wants it I can make a timer to to this too.
This application will change both your landscape and portrait background.
I use the portrait jpg from superflysocal post and modify him landscape to put them in 320*240 so you could replace them by what you want.
It using MortScript and you're not obliged to install MortScript, because my cab include the MortScript.exe and exe files to launch scripts.
What do you need ?
A PDA with WM... Working on WM6.1, don't know on others.
A HTC Home, don't know issues about the version, working on the HTC HomePlug 2.1.1005.722
There are 3 scripts :
* Start.exe
This one save your current backgrounds (landcape and portrait), write into registry to be clean with the Settings/Personnal/Today "Use this picture as the background", so you can see if my application is running and write and Run On Power On event.
* HHW2BGD.exe (linked as Refresh)
This one is the application core, so it read the weather registry and if it see differences since last launch (written in registry as key_old) it search the good jpg and make it as background (landscape and portrait) and lauch a refresh screen (for now I'm using a exe which make it because the command doesn't want to work good in MortScript language...help !!!). This exe was extract from the cab found here but I don't know who make it ??? Thanks for him, very great exe.

This last one is used to end up this application, it stop the Run On Power On event, eventually kill the script if running, replace the original background and delete the registry entries made.
What will be install ?

It contain the 3 scripts and 5 exe (3 for the script, 1 for MortScript and 1 for the refresh).

It contain 3 directory : one for your backup background, one for the landscape and one for the portrait.

It contain 3 links to Start/Stop/Refresh the application
This application is a beta and so use at your own risk.
Just remember : before uninstall it use the STOP.EXE in the Start/Programs/Weather menu.
If you forgot, the Run On Power On event will stay so you have to destroy him using an software like "check Notifications" or launching the Stop script again : you'll find it with the cab at the end of this post.

I think this application will only works on PDA with 320*240 and 240*320 resolution. maybe it's possible to have configuration files for others.

It's strange, I thought that it was no necessary to have mortscript if the exe is in the directory and the autoexec.exe rename in ScriptName.exe.
I'm sorry, I must make a hard reset to test but I thount I never install mortScript on my PDA.
Some others people had this problem ?

Ok, so it stopped when you want to refresh the weather in your HTC Home.
Very strange, I don't touch this component, only read the registry and write old values read in new keys....
When my software is off it never happened ?

Mff, quite strange too, maybe the notification doesn't work, but we have the same system...

To have it I had to copy this file on my computer and right-click on it after.

How we do it;
Cab file are installer programs. This works to make registry edits, install new applications and install new themes. Do NOT extract a .cab file!
- Download the cab file; copied it to your Storage Card (on the place you will).
- Navigate with your "File Explorer" (that came with your phone) to the place where you placed the cab file.
- Press on the cab file you will install it.
- Most of the time you will see a new window popup with the question where to install. (Advice all themes must be install on internal memory, not on SD)
- Follow the installation procedure, and follow it by a soft reset.Q; How to Uninstall applications?

01. Prefer clearing HTC Sense's icon cache.
Go to your Device's \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher Folder and delete all the *.bmg files inside. These are icon caches that will be recreated upon next boot.
03. Delete All Old Icons from the Quick Links Menu in Manila.
04. Restart
If by clearing HTC Sense's icon cache, the Icons still doesn't change?
01. If you try to use a custom icon which have the same filename of one of the images found in \Windows then Manila will always load that original instead of your customized one!
In order to easily fix the problem, just rename your icon .png (Not that one in \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher).
02. Delete All Old Icons from the Quick Links Menu in Manila.
03. Restart
04. And change it again in Icon Changer (To the renamed .png file).
P.S.: This bug affects ONLY manila, therefore in the start menu everything will look fine BUT in the Home Screen you will always have the original icon!
05. Restart
If the Icon don't shows up in Icon Changer, so you cant change it from there?

02. Duplicate (Copy & Paste) your .lnk (that don't shows up in IC).
03. Open again Icon Changer. The Icon now should be viewable.

· Run Microsoft My Phone Sync
· Turn off antivirus software in Desktop PC (Stop Avast Anti-Virus)
· Remove SIM and microSDHC Storage Card
· RUN XDA Developers “HD2 Task 29” as an AdministratorTask 29 is not mandatory that's true, but it's a safe way to ensure that you don't have any old files remaining after flashing a new rom.
There is no harm in doing it and the easy way is to use the tool I provided in this post:

Thanks mate; hope also. It would be more easier fore new users to find the most answerer to there question. I know fore people like us it's easy to find everything, but fore new users it's quite complicate. The funny thing of XDA is there is so much on it; but finding it caused some problems

Thanks sir; of course I will ad this subject also (info about Task 29; how to hard Reset and all that stuff here.) My attention is to help people before thy have problems/question's. Of course there will alway's bee question I didn't treat, but with time I hope to treat a lot of questions

one of the questions I see most on the boards is about sense crashing and displaying "unable to launch htc sense" after booting......
I usually refer people to this thread.....
Although there could be many reasons why this occurs I think that thread offers a lot of good advice about fixing that issue without having to hard reset..........

This question was be treated in the first post:
01. Go to your Device's \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher Folder and delete all the *.bmg files inside. These are icon caches that will be recreated upon next boot.
02. Delete All Old Icons from the Quick Links Menu in Manila.
03. Restart

About Active Sync; I don't have a Idea about that. As fare as I know I didn't saw someone who mention this problem before. But I will tray to investigate about this issue!
But in the meanwhile; open your task manager, probably you will see Active Sync be active, deactivate it!
About Battery Draining; there are multiple reasons about this behavior:
- Radio version?
- Rom?
- Hspl version; in case of wrong combination with Radio and Rom
- More obviously
- Problems on the temporary music catch
- a particular music file who caused problems
- problems on temporary file in commend!

Fore this there is a simple test; remove your SD fore about (let say 3H) and take a look on the battery's behavior. If the problem is solved without using the SD, do a SD format!

like you can sea the answer to one problem can have multiple reasons, without much of information not easy to give you the right answer.

Based on Rom and Radio, I only see the direct problem on SD; do the test like mention before, if it's normal, do a format of your SD! (is your SD a class 4th?)

yea its a microsdhc 8gb nokia class4 (it came with my n5800) i also got a 2gb sandisk with the hd2 but its to small for me btw wich class is the sandisk microsd
an curetnly my phone is dead and its rechargin when it recharges 100% il try your test
and a small question how long do you charge your hd2?
