This application lets you customise your HTC's spinning 'cube' faces in many ways, changing icons, layout, which applications are launched, etc. You can change the following:
- Your Music/Pictures/Video programs (change which apps and titles)
- Your 3x2 APLauncher on the cube (change the apps, icons and titles)
- Layout of your APLauncher; positioning of icons, etc*
- Additional APLauncher Cube faces*
- Your Weather Location to be far more specific (i.e. not the limited in-built city selection)
- Your weather options (auto-update settings, etc.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The app is no longer being developed - see this post. However, you may still request support from other kind users on this forum thread and I can confirm that it works well on the HTC Touch GSM (Elf). Users have also had success using it on the Sprint Touch, Vogue, OKTA, Touch Dual and Polaris, plus other mobile devices that have HTC TouchFlo correctly installed on them.

A lot of this is achieved via registry changes, on older HTC Touch devices (e.g. GSM Elf), a patched version of mediahubmini.exe is installed due to limitations of the in-built applications.
Installation instructions - Version 2.0 Onwards:
1. Copy the CAB to your device and run it.
Installation instructions - Older versions (before 2.0)
1. DELETE the file MediaHubMini.lnk from your \Windows\Startup directory and reboot... OR just terminate the process MediaHubMini.exe using memmaid, SKTools or another program.
2. Install the attached CAB file.
3. Run the app. (Start Menu -> Programs -> Touch Settings)
4. Click 'Save', reset again (close all apps, and power off your device properly first - otherwise changes may be lost!) and now your changes should be active.
Troubleshooting / Bugs
- If you enter an invalid path, then when you click Pictures or Videos, the device will freeze and you will see the spinning egg-timer forever. Reset, load the config app again and double check you have got the EXACT path to the executable correct.
- If you get an error that you could not install the cab because of "insufficient system priviledges / insufficient system permissions:
- Look into the settings of your device security model - check out this post for more information, or download Microsoft's Device Security Manager to alter your settings.
- Try the manual install version instead. See post on page three as well.

Acctualy,
if you have a ROM that already included any version of "biotouch settings", you can also install this, just by deleting the link (as in the instructions) in Windows\Startup and reseting.

Thanks for this - I've had a look and you're absolutely right. The weather lists come directly from the accuWeather.com website, and they use a different system for North America. In fact, it's easier for me to just build the XML file into the app as there are incompatabilities with their 'zipcode' format and some of the home plugins.
Please try the new version v1.22 of the app and you should be able to select from many US cities. (Install to storage card perhaps as it's a bit larger now)

No! Please DON'T try to install using this method!. This version uses a different patch of mediahubmini.exe, so it WON'T work properly. In particular, the choice of "Other" for your music app won't work if you do it this way.
That's precisely why I wrote the installation instructions the way that I did.
Please could you edit your post to discourage this, as I don't have time to deal with the support requests that it would cause.

There is a default package in first post. "MediaHubMini_Original_Unpatched.zip" to be exact. That should put things back to default if I understand correctly.

To install this app on your prophet, unzip the HtcHome6_WM5_comp_sdkcert.zip on your pc, copy the cab files onto your device and -

I know there is a 6 tab version of the Home Plugin available as well where one of the tabs runs the HTC audiomanager. I have not been able to install it on my Neo, though.
Runs great on my wizard.
only one problem: The weather can't update its data from GPRS, only from WIFI. Anyone encountered that issue?
I was looking for a solution for the 6 tap version, here it is! umesh you 're good!
In version 6-tab there are more city's to choose than in the 3-tab version.
Two things to notice:
At Favorite People, if you don't have a picture of the person/company. It gives the first name.
The Music Player is just a shortcut to Windows Mediaplayer. It's a shame that the Music Player isn't a stand alone player. As you can see at my Homescreen, I use a SPB player. This plugin uses a less memory then the Windows Media Player.

For the people who love pictures, here we go!
Itried it a lot of times to install it but nothing happens.I copy the files to my device, the run the two cab files, restart the device but there's no plugin. It just reserves the space to my today screen but i just can't see it.Any solutions?
It's a beautiful plug-in, but I will uninstall it. The plugin uses resources very much and everything is to reach double now (START). Standalone at startup my memory is 6 MB less!
Plugin eats resources
Sound-tab: this is at less than 1 cm to reach upper row
Favorite Contacts tab: this are shortcuts to the first tel.nr.
In speeddail you can choose your favorite nr of the person.
Music-tab: is just a shortcut to WMP, this eats resources. I use the Spb pugin. It don't startup WMP, but use the music list and setings.

You might want to just try
1. a neat uninstall first of any older copies of unsuccessful installation attempts.
2. Restarting your device.
3. Then try to install again following the steps as mentioned earlier. Make sure you install both the cabs to your device and not storage card if it asks you for that.
As a double check, you might want to check post installation that a bunch of HH_***.png etc. files are installed into the /windows folder of your device and it does not create any HTC Home folder in your device. If so, move all the files under HTC Home folder into the /windows folder and restart.

its not just shortcut to wmplayer its its own player, i can play songs on wmplayer and on that applications seperatly

You can have the HTC AudioM triggered by the audio tab in the 6 tab HTC modem by modifying the registry HKLM/Software/HTC/Music Plug-in/MusicPlayer to 2 for HTC AM. 1 is for WMP.
Have not tried this since couldn't get the HTC AM to work with my WM5. Let us know if this works for you.
Did anyone get the HTC Audio Manager working on WM5? I got the cab from the link below, but it just doesn't work. I get the 'trusted certificate' message when I try to run it. Please help!

I have the same problem and unfortunately no solution as yet. I did research on the net but to no luck. If any one has resolved this, please share.
I've uninstalled 3 times and checked files in windows folder, but nothing is displayed in the today's screen .... HELP. I've a WM5 prophet French version, as a guy installed it with other than a WME version (english) ?
This message just to report that 6tab version works perfectly on my Artemis (WM5 Italian - TIM). Just remember to rename MUI files on \Windows to match your country before soft reset the PDA (from HTC HDlg.exe.0409.mui to HTC HDlg.exe.0410.mui AND from HTCHome.dll.0409.mui to HTCHome.dll.0410.mui, since 0410 is the country code for Italy).
I also confirm that registry hack to use HTC AudioManager works (remember to rename mui files!)

You are welcome, Matin.
The difference between the two attachments is that one of them shows 3 tabs for the HTC Home Plugin i.e. Time, Weather & Application Launcher.
The other is a 6 tab version where there are shortcuts on HTC Home Plugin for Time, Weather, Photo Touch dial, application Launcher, Profile switcher and Music.
I personally liked the 6tab version and am using that at present.
A variant of notiweather_wallpaper by superflysocal
So first I want to say tanks you to superflysocal to give me the idea of this release and allow me to use the wallpapers he use for his application.
When I saw is application I wanted to do the same with HTC Home Weather without using S2U2.
So my application read the HTC Home Weather and change the background wallpaper today according with the last weather update.
It's made when you power on your PDA if the weather have change since the last time you powered on.
Maybe if someone wants it I can make a timer to to this too.
This application will change both your landscape and portrait background.
I use the portrait jpg from superflysocal post and modify him landscape to put them in 320*240 so you could replace them by what you want.
It using MortScript and you're not obliged to install MortScript, because my cab include the MortScript.exe and exe files to launch scripts.
What do you need ?
A PDA with WM... Working on WM6.1, don't know on others.
A HTC Home, don't know issues about the version, working on the HTC HomePlug 2.1.1005.722
There are 3 scripts :
* Start.exe
This one save your current backgrounds (landcape and portrait), write into registry to be clean with the Settings/Personnal/Today "Use this picture as the background", so you can see if my application is running and write and Run On Power On event.
* HHW2BGD.exe (linked as Refresh)
This one is the application core, so it read the weather registry and if it see differences since last launch (written in registry as key_old) it search the good jpg and make it as background (landscape and portrait) and lauch a refresh screen (for now I'm using a exe which make it because the command doesn't want to work good in MortScript language...help !!!). This exe was extract from the cab found here but I don't know who make it ??? Thanks for him, very great exe.
* Stop.exe
This last one is used to end up this application, it stop the Run On Power On event, eventually kill the script if running, replace the original background and delete the registry entries made.
What will be install ?
* \Program Files\toniolol\HHW2BGD\
It contain the 3 scripts and 5 exe (3 for the script, 1 for MortScript and 1 for the refresh).
* \Program Files\toniolol\HHW2BGD\BackGrounds\
It contain 3 directory : one for your backup background, one for the landscape and one for the portrait.
* Start/Programs/Weather/
It contain 3 links to Start/Stop/Refresh the application
This application is a beta and so use at your own risk.
Just remember : before uninstall it use the STOP.EXE in the Start/Programs/Weather menu.
If you forgot, the Run On Power On event will stay so you have to destroy him using an software like "check Notifications" or launching the Stop script again : you'll find it with the cab at the end of this post.

It's strange, I thought that it was no necessary to have mortscript if the exe is in the directory and the autoexec.exe rename in ScriptName.exe.
I'm sorry, I must make a hard reset to test but I thount I never install mortScript on my PDA.

To have it I had to copy this file on my computer and right-click on it after.

Hey guys, thought this might be appropriate, to make thing both easier to read and easier to find fixes. This is not just bug fixes, but silly things people always come up with, like why the Manila Config isnt in. I will also include some customization tips.

Install these to Storage card:

Open regedit > menu > Registry > Import > then find the registry entry you downloaded.
2* Dont know how to launch the .nbh file. [FIXED]

If you have problems installing something due to "permissions" try disabling Touchflo2D via the Today>Items> menu and then install it, then re-eable touch flo.
Simply download and install, For S2U2 Simply install, delete the OLD gfx folder and replace it with the NEW one included inside the .zip. Then with ITJE's included registry editor go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2\TimeFormat and change it to hh:mm

BLACK SKIN
This ones a bit more difficult because i altered a theme from from TWolf (thanks).
First install the CAB from inside the "Skin" folder. Next go into settings>Today>Items and disable Touchflo. Then copy and paste the group of images from the "Skin" folder to the /Windows folder on your Polaris with Total Commander. Then you can install the comm manager .Cab.
Now go back into settings and re-enable Touchflo.
With S2U2 make sure to delete the OLD gfx folder and replace it with the NEW gfx folder included in the zip.

What do you mean? I just reinstalled it and it works perfectly....
You sure you installed it onto "Device"?
You sure it said "installed successfully" after it? Because if you didnt get that, just soft reset and restart the installation.

Did you do a soft reset and then install it? Worked for me and im using ITJE's ROM.

Not a real fix for this problem but do a hard reset and after that don't use activesync over USB. I use activesync over bluetooth now and don't have the problem anymore.

You do not need to make a hard reset.
Just do not disable "enable advanced network" or "enable faster data sync" under start -> settings -> connections -> USB to PC
ActiveSync won't connect via USB, however it will work via BT

using M2DC cause trouble with People tap, if this happen just restore backup and use M2DC to rearrange the tape and number of launcher apps
It isn't a problem only with this ROM, but with youtube the video is not in sync with the sound.
Did anyone else have this problem or a solution?
I've got something strange in this ROM with "All programs" softkey. It works only the first tap after soft-reset, after closing "Programs" window it stops working. Does anyone else have a problem like this?

Requirements:
.Net CF 3.5. You do not need to worry about .net memory usage because only MTP Configurator is written on .Net
Setup Instructions:
1) Setup MTPInstall.CAB to Main memory
2) Go to programs menu, run MTP Configurator.
3) Choose page to host plug-ins,
choose plug-ins you want to enable. Uncheck "TouchFLO 3D".
4) Click apply button. Close configurator.
5) Go Settings-> Today Disable TouchFlo3D. Click OK. Enable TouchFlo3D. Click OK.

A: Most likely incorrect "Target Page" is selected in configurator. Select "Today" as target page.
Q: Doest it support Manila 2D?
A: No, it does not. I plan to port this program on Manila 2D. Porting requires a lot of work, by now I do not know when you can expect M2D support.
If something goes wrong (How to write a bug report):
Ensure you are using latest MTP version.
Specify any error message you got from MTP
If you receive message that your version is not supported - attach your manila.exe

I think a lot of diamond users use the xbmod port of the Rhodium Manila bugsykoosh referred to. In that port he used a work-around to have it load so there are actually 2 manila exe files as far as I know. Do you think you can manage to make that one work?

I did not dive deeply into Rhodium Manila, but from first look:
1) First manila.exe - simple loader, written on .net - I have nothing to do with this file.
2) manila2.exe is original (or ported version of manila), it looks like this exe contains all functions i need, so I think MTP will work on Rhodium after a little adjustment.
Will this work also for german languages roms?

It does not depend on localization, but does depend on manila.exe version.
By today I had only one version of Manila.exe, soon I'll add support for other versions (Rhodium and other from (mkucuksari's attachment). I plan to create an algorithm which could calculate offsets automatically.
You can provide me with your manila.exe and I'll include it's support to MTP.
I hope, there will be no more than 10 different versions of manila.exe

sorry for that ! never happened to me. Did you tap in the screen in the middle anyway? Please, anybody can confirm if it works or not? It if does not work I will remove the link, and do some more testing.
Edit: I flashed back to wm6.1 and then again my rom and it loads smoothly. Pcarvalho, alexander.voigt and others have detailed instructions in their roms and they recommend to flash original 6.1 first and hard reset after first flash.

You can place cabs in xda_uc and they will be installed automatically after flashing. This way I avoid double space (files doubled in windows and program folder) or overloading windows folder.

Hi, I will check the calendar language.
You should be able to config it yourself in the meanwhile. It is a today freeware plugin called Today Agenda, in a second today screen. You have an icon in my settings to configure plugins to be shown in SecondToday (you can add more plugins like windows default plugins or install new ones) Please, use the search function.
Regarding the plugin of the calendar, as I said it is called Today Agenda and should be configurable in a number of languages. I do not know if your language is supported but english should be.
I take note and will document more in next release and add othe languages if they are not in the ROM.
Regarding versions of the ROM in other languages, it is currently not in my agenda, sorry for that.
First I need to complete the ROM adding more support to other sd programs, adding backup buttons for the main apps (like speed dial), document my proposed sd xda_uc user customization, optimize folders for sd usage... upgrade to newer builds... test for true 6.5 kernel... optimize the xip... and then I will try to produce versions in main european languages.... That is defenetely a lot of work and time...
hengelo, jan_sorensen, listen ! why do not you try cooking one in your language !! We have kitchens in this forum that are ready to cook in the different languages and would be great to have new roms and cookers for all to enjoy !!

However, either with or without these apps.. this version seems to consume lots of time just to boot up (about 4 minutes) n it freezes so badly to the extent that sometimes i have to hard reset.. and it freezes again while booting up system!
i've been working on finding a way to fix this problem but i cant seem to find any.

I am aware of the long booting time (I am working on it) but I did not have freeezes here. The ROM has not arabic support at all, I do not know if it influences. Please, if you can explain further would be great if you could send me a pm or post here.
