Is there anyway to set up a passcode or some kind of code to block text messaging? One of my friends got an application that locks text messaging using the same app that locks the phone in general(the drawing one). I didn't get the name of the app. Anyone have something similar?
Thanks.

Hi -
I would like to know if there is some application to control/count the SMS sent. This is important because I can now when I will pass my sms package.
thank you
+1 for that
I know that there are a couple of app that count the minute talked, but I dont remember the name of these app. Maybe these app could have this function also.
regards
I found this app.
you can also use HomeScreen PlusPlus
I thought I saw a similar thread on XDA, but maybe it was somewhere else.
When I receive text messages from someone in my contacts it also lists the phone number after the name. Really not necessary.
Is there any way to get rid of that?
I got rid of it by installing Handcent SMS.
That isn't fixing the problem, it's avoiding it. I actually really like the default messaging app, does anyone know if there is a way to make it not show the phone number?
I would like to know the same thing. It's really annoying.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Dont know if it is the right place to ask this doubt.. Actually i m using a postpad connection here in india. as we know whenever we install any appplication it asks for some access permissions. In my last bill i was able to see that one international SMS has been sent from my number. as far i remember i have not sent any international SMS and m not able to see any sms sent on that day in my sms logs. I dont know how it happend but suspecting that some application has internally sent that SMS. Is there any way we can block the application sending sms from our phones ( like any application which ask for allow or reject whenever an internal application tries to sent an sms or ny information) ?
Hi
Do you have wavesecure installed?
Wavesecure sends international sms to confirm the phone and also sometimes to do other stuff internally.
It seems like I'm sending SMS as URGENT. The receiving Android user sees an URGENT header on their notification screen, but everything looks normal in their messaging app. I have tried the default Messaging app along with the Google one (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging), but there is no difference. I can't find a setting anywhere to choose to purposely send an URGENT-tagged message.
Could this have something to do with the CDMA-less activation?
Sometimes it's hard to screenshot other people's phones, so I'll have to do a little more research...

Interesting... I'll give it a shot. Any key words you found that sped that process along?
