Ra 1.5.2
And i try run this from adb but doesnt work
Code:
adb shell
Cd system/sd/dalvik-Cache
Rm *
And this one neither
Code:
adb wipe dalvik

try the adb wipe command while the phone is all the way booted. if you wipe dalvik alone when you reboot it'll fc everything so I suggest using the pre-kitchen to do it.

Wipe dalvik-cache via adb????

My buddy just got the hero and I rooted his phone and im wiping it and putting on a new rom and like always i always wipe data and dalvik and it says
"Error : Run 'wipe dalvik' via adb!
How do I wipe it thru adb? What commands?
Code:
adb remount
adb shell rm -rf /system/sd/dalvik-cache
Otherwise just power off the phone, restart into recovery and try to wipe it again.

The above two solutions should fix your problem. The reason you're getting that error message however is most likely because you're running a older version of the Recovery ROM. Amon has said that the older versions (anything older than 1.6.2) will give you that error message when you try to wipe dalvik.
His later version 1.6.2 fixes this problem, so I would consider upgrading. Also, even though it's giving you the error message, it does actually clear Dalvik -- this was confirmed by a logcat.

How to clear Dalvik Cache?

how to clear it thru adb?
Code:
adb shell
su
rm /data/dalvik-cache/*
reboot
thank you
phone runs a bit smoother
You are welcome.
what is Dalvik Cache
You can also download cache cleaner from the market or boot into recovery and I believe on the recovery BCNice posted you have to go to the last option and select clear cache.

Why cant I boot into Recovery?

I can reboot into Bootloader, but when I try to boot into Recovery it kicks me back into bootloader. Im using Rom Manager and Clockworks. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.
Use amon-ra its 10 times better than clockwordmod just download this http://files.androidspin.com/downloads.php?dir=amon_ra/RECOVERY/&file=PC36IMG.zip
drag it to sd card and go to into bootloader thern fastboot and it should say update
Step one, get rid of Rom Manager.
Step Two, flash Amon Ra.
Fixed....
That did it. Thanks guys. Follow up question..do I do a full wipe or Delvick- Cache wipe when flashing Roms? Im used to letting ROM Manager do everything for me that im not 100% sure.
Do a full wipe User Data/Factory reset, then wipe each sub-category, EXCEPT SD Card.
Heck, I re-wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache twice.

Currently I am on my STOCK ROM. As I soft bricked my phone while installing Jelly Blast V3. And I'm on the stock Kernel. CWM was taken by this link:

CM12 - black screen after enter my PIN :(

I have a weird issue with my N9005 (hlte). I just got it new and am still a little inexperienced with flashing it. Preblem occurs when flashing ANY CM12 based rom. Flashing works well with TWRP 2.8.5.0 but once Android booted just after enetring my PIN the display turns off and I can't do anything and have to hard reboot my phone. CM11 runs without any issues
I'd relly like to go for CM12 so any help will be appreciated.

If you read installation instructions from temasek it says clear dalvik and cache. For good measure. No full wipe after flash. Only cache and dalvik
If i full wipe my phone after flashing ... i got no System at all ...
It looks like -> this <-

Haha I did correct myself and told you to not full wipe after flash. Only do that before flashing. Wipe dalvik cache and cache after flashing.
Do a clean install and try again. Full system, data wipe and caches in recovery. Use twrp doing that. Then flash and wipe cache and dalvik. Reboot. Use the latest build 8.7
