A lot of slow down when I listen music in media player or another player. Slowdown Always in background. Why? I tested WM 6.5 Onyx R9 beta and 5.7 final.

you tell me how many MB you have programs and storage, however, I advise you to try this.....

I have 70mb free ram. Windows Media Player takes up 5mb. So I believe there is a memory problem. What program is that this link?

I noticed that when I opened Windows Media Player to play my music, the available RAM drops from 80Mb to 20Mb. no other applications running...
It means that WM alone consumes 60Mb of RAM???
Had anyone observed this?

don't use windows media player then, i use Pocket music to play my music and it's much better then WMP, specially in turns of sound quality.

Thanks for the tip. I'm using pocket music now. It takes up just a couple of MB when runnig rather than the close to 50MB by window media player.
Just one thing though, how do you get microsoft voice commander to use this and play the music? Or can you only start the program without becoming a DJ?
I am currently running dcd 2.3.2 and am getting the error "storage memory too low" then the video stops. I have 89.7 megs of free storage device memory and 19 megs of free ram. I also have a 4 gb storage card. I have run many rom images and not had this problem. I love this rom for the speed of the gps lock and the fact that this is the first rom that my device does not ever lock up in stand by mode. TCPMP player plays very choppy video. Is there away to fix WMP or fix the choppiness of TCPMP and set it as default player in outlook.

I have a quite big and annoying problem that I hope I can get rid off...
When I listen to music through Coreplayer (version 1.3.0 6213) after a while, maybe 20-30 minutes the phone becomes lazy.. for example when entering the settings (personal,system,connections) the icons does not shows immediately, insteand I see the icons one by one... I have tried many ROMS but I still have this problem..
maybe Coreplayer is the problem but the RAM usage is normal and even when the phone becomes lazy the usage is still around 40%... and even after I close Coreplayer the phone is still lazy and I need to softreset to get it working normal...
so I wonder what the problem is? (maybe I will try a WM 6.5 ROM and see if it works better but I don't have time atm) atm I'm using itjes Touch-IT 7.1 Lite + SPB Mobile Shell 3.0...

at the moment, I've noticed that coreplayer isn't really 100% stable on the Xperia.
Sure it's had improvements, but I think windows media player works just fine =].

windows media player sucks big time, it's not even near of what Coreplayer can do thats why I don't use it, for example, when switching track with coreplayer I don't need to enter the program to do it, I just do it with the "next" button, and it have more fetures... anyone know another program similiar to Coreplayer that works with xperia?
Coreplayer is a media player and not an audio player. Sure, it can play music, but it's like wathing movies on your in-car gps, it can be done, but it's better to use a pmp... Use one of those:
Pocket Player
Pocket Music
Mort Player (the best)
Winamp for Windows Mobile
S2P (pretty good)

It's a well known issue w/ Core Player > 1.24. That's why I still stick w/ 1.24.
you could just wait for winmo 6.5 to come out.. if ever.
Or you could flash a custom rom with winmo, from the "Titanium" homescreen, you can change songs by swiping and tapping.
what is in your opinion the fastest music player for tilt 2.
like a music player that doesnt take 10 sec to change one song and is super responsive
Core player -fastest-(but the only bad thing is you have to buy it) it plays music/video
Pocket Music - slowest -(have to buy but have more features than coreplayer music-wise)
those available for free and are pretty good:
nitrogen..(pretty good but doesn't load wpls files)
& Default HTC music audio manager-speed is rom depended- loads everything, uses bluetooth control, best for your wm device.

have any of u guys and or the cooks hav found a fix that will allow me to play my mp3 on manila player while the screen is lock and off ?... i had it with the stock rom and also with energy rom march 30th build 21898... im a biker and i cant ride and listen anymore and windows media player kills my batt even faster... please help and fix

did you check your player settings? afaik wmp has a setting that allowes continue playing when screen is off or not

not windows media manila mp3 player will auto pause after a few seconds in most of the roms

Thats weird, my S730, Fuse, and HD2 all could / can play music with the screen off
Longest I have gone with the screen off on the HD2 while playing music so far is about 15 minutes though.

before i changed to a cooked rom it was fine now it stops playing
