i was using the blue marble wallpaper but after running the sprint upgrade it can no longer see the theme. i keep trying to install it but it never comes up in the list. i believe i may have downloaded it from the hd section but it worked fine until the upgrade. are there specific wallpapers needed to work with the new rom's software?

hi, do you mean it is in a cab made using HD walls?? if so then yes it can depend on what rom you have to if it works as there are many options in the making process. can you apply "normal" wallpapers ok?
Ok i just looked back after i remembered i asked the sae question a while back, this solution from Andrew, worked for me but you will need the original wallpaper from which the cab was made. You could extract the wall paper from the cab using Quick cab-which is free

Hi osrix25
Easy: Install "HQWallpaperPatch_v1.22_forManila2.5.19222xxx. cab" which is attached to post #2123 of this thread. N.B. This will make your Sense 2.5 incompatible with Co0kieMonster's new home tab MOD (leads to square by clock bug). Once you've installed this patch you can then install a HDWall cab. Here's how I made it:
Make sure you're using HDWall 2.8b. Choose the profile: "HTC Sense v2.5 & WM6.5 - No Compression", then use the "Convert" button to create the manila files from your image. Next, change the profile to: "HTC Sense v2.5 & WM 6.5 - All Tabs - No Compression" and convert to manila files as before. When making the .cab file, ensure you include all the manila and image files you have used when converting using both profiles.
If that doesn't work, use the profiles in the opposite order. The only limitation of HDWall at the moment is that for this version of Sense 2.5 it can only use the same image when skinning both the landscape and portrait images. This may be a limitation of Sense 2.5.2011.3030 - more research is needed I think.
To skin the lock screen and start menu backgrounds make WVGA portrait and landscape .jpg files of your image and then rename them:
Portrait: "stwater_480_800.jpg"
Landscape: "stwater_800_480.jpg"
Copy these two .jpg files to \Windows and restart the device.
Hope that's helpful.
Cheers

just aply a theme.
if your screen is messed up after aplying theme just install that "iago analog clock..."
you may have to aply that theme one more time.
this worked for me.
but you have to do that procedure everytime youve aplyied a new theme.
this is the wrong section for questions. please read the rules

i used this clock for a while..
its made with chi tai's "homescreen" today plugin.
its just a theme for this handy tool.
some dudes were really amazed about me getting the time from some dots
I think it is possible and simple to get it on TF3D, I will try it, when I will have a little bit time for it.

If you could direct me to the software I would need I will look into it and try to do this myself. I love the idea.
Here it is:
1) disable manila
2) backup the files with names in enclosed zip file (backup original clocks)
3) copy and replace files from enclosed zip file to \windows
4) enable manila
hello vphk,
i just tried out your manila files, but instead of binary clock there were pink numbers on the home screen?
am i doing something wrong?:
i disabled TF3D - was overwriting the 6 files - reaktivated TF3D again ... and failed
greetings stizn
Sorry I dont know, where is a problem. Maybe different manila version.
Now I am using Rhodium port from Xbmod.
Does anybody have the same problem or is here anybody, who has not problem with binary clock ?
Now I have tried to download posted files and everything is OK, I checked it with manila editor.
Pink numbers - it looks that you have branded T-Mobile ROM isn't it ?
now, i'm confused, i checked your posted files yesterday with the manila editor 0.2 and they were blank?
What am i doing wrong?
greets stizn
Hi,
I tried it now (download) for the second time and still is everything OK.
I used manila editor v 0.2 too. There are only 2 file blank - it is background for clock.
So I am confused too
when i downloaded it again today it worked... thanks a lot for this clock

Ok here is my issue I have built a totally fully custom theme for a client on a Touch HD running duttys v3 Xtream rom and it works flawlessly on it.
Now the problem....
I got my hands on a real TP2 Rhodium and loaded my theme and guess what many issues. the theme files are slightly different in a few areas such as The people tab needs to be fully reworked again and the albums tab has a few small issues.
The 2 major issues I need someones help with is...
1. The stupid purple home screen wallpaper that loads itself over the default one.. there does not seem to be default option that pops up on the Touch Pro2. I modified the manila files to show the proper backgrounds on Port and Landscape mode and they show properly and in HQ but that dam home screen keeps overwriting with that purple wall. I'm thinking this issue would be hidden in the mode9 files or the home.xml files does anyone have any knowledge on this that would benefit me?
2. Patch manila files to be cfc ready on the Touch Pro2 I attempted to patch the files usen chainfire methods and I'm not able to do it on device it fails and will not overwrite the manila.exe file I tried loading the modified patched files manually from my pc to device but keep getting a unable to modify files due to microsoft signing issues. I attempted to use the reshacker resign tool get a confimed resign message but still can't upload to the device. [I can work around this issue but would rather fix it]
I have a deadline for this project that is only just about a week away now and normally I would just find it myself but if there is someone much smarter out there that may already have these answers I would really appreciate the help.
I am aware this question may pose a issue to the forum rules but figured altho this does not offer immediate usefulness to the smartphone community It will benefit us all in the near future. If it has pushed the envelope of the forum rules I will say my "I'm Sorry's" in advance to the admins and mods here.
First, how are you trying to overwrite? From the PC to the ppc? If so, use resco explorer or total commander. Also, use a good task manager like SK Tools has or dotFred & make sure manila is not running, along with tdserver, manila2, etc... All the executables may need to be stopped b'c of dependencies.
BTW, coke is bad, very bad.
I have attempted to use the cfc program of chainfires to patch to device it succesfully patchs the files but it says fail when trying to save them. I also patched the manila files with the same tool to the extraced manila files on my pc the patch will succeed on the pc. I then moved the files to the ppc and moved them [with total commander] to the windows folder. fail to over write [with TF3D shut off in the settings yes] I attempted to load the patched theme from a .cab file [ driver signing issue ... fail ] I can load all the uncompressed files with no issue but would much rather cfc compress the theme due to the size issues of a complex theme like this one. I skined the enitre interface all internal TF3d interfaces as well as the main TF3D interface. For the HD the same files are 8mb but the uncompressed version I have running on the TP2 are over 17mb to big for me I don't want to lag the device due to the graphics. It just seems there is a issue with overwritting the manila.exe and the 2 .dll files I thought of attempting to rename the .exe and .dll files with total commander as well but even if that worked its not practical as this theme must be able to be deployed in a single .cab file.
I am a theme designer and really have very limited knowleage of the code side of manila so I am really hopeing someone that understands the mode9 .exes and .dlls in manila could help find the answers to this for me and ... everyone as I may be the first to ask this but I won't be the last for sure... lol
Why not create a cab instead of trying to overwrite manually?

I did that it failed due to new driver signing issues, if you have not used the new touch pro 2 it has some new security measures I think as I had troubles installing normal programs before installing the sdkcerts.cab now those programs install alright.
but still this home page wallpaper overwriting and no cfc support is driving me crazy
But keep the ideas coming guys we are sure to stumble upon it sooner or later.
Thanks for the responses

You shouldn't use CFC. Since it's a stock rom, it's unlikely to be CFC compressed.
I thought I could patch the manila and deploy the patched cfc version with the .cab , Chainfire gave me a few Ideas to try and I will update this thread if I get anything firgured out with that.
Still looking for a solution on the home page wallpaper being overwritten.
So let me know if anyone finds a solution for that one.
Does anyone know how to disable the file protection on the Rhodium I can't seem to change any of the core OS files any exe or dll renameing or deletion fails. I tried using total comander and changing the file properties so they were not read only but the changes will not stick?
I also attempted to use the newest cfc ui tool to patch manila on device and it failed agian, but if I could manage to change the name and delete the manila.exe and mode9.dll files as Chainfire recomended I may be able to patch them.
Agian any Idea's are really welcome as I'm losing my mind over here trying to get this to work... lol
I have looked through a lot of the existing threads and tried installing the cabs that people have posted made from HDwall. I havent been able to get the wallpapers to work.
I am using latest leo rom with manila 2.5.2
Are there any settings or patch installations that i am missing?
Can anyone give me a step by step guide to installing these cabs or how i can create my own wallpapers using hdwall for the rom that i have. What settings should i be using in hdwall to create wallpapers?
thanks
im having the same problem
whenever i try to use hdwalls to set m,y background it does nothing
ANd when i install the cab it changes the task and softkeys but leaves the bg unchangable

I don't find yet where, but I try with cht parameters from last HD2Owner rom and it's ok.
I've try so many things with different packages in the kitchen.
I join my backup of cht parameters if someone have an idea.

Hi,
I've found a way to get it working, but need to have 3 widgets pages.
On my config I just have 1 widget page and 3 quicklinks pages.
On the hd2 of my wife it's the same config of mine without AddonStateLinks and it works.
So now error is found and is something to do with widget on CHT.
Just
About your widget, did you get correct manila file conversion for the slot number ?
For now I rebuilt a complete fresh kitchen and take to playing with the new options.
I haven't test yet but for my Addon_State_link, CHTI.AddonLinks was at slot1 and was nothing at slot0, may be need to correct manila file to have it at slot0.
But will continue this on CHT topic when I'll be ready as now I know it's don't come from some of my packages.

I don't know. I did it like Cookie posted in his thread. Mode9 and lua Files from cab in ManilaHash. I think they must by prepared for the Slot 0 before, no?
edit: I'm a dummy it's not the "real" path!
