I dont think there is any way to bypass an unlock code, however it was set. It is after all there to protect your phone from unwanted use. The only course of action I can sugest is to Hard Reset it back to factory settings which would erase the unlock code but would also erase all msgs, contacts, settings and installed appications on your phone. At least you would be able to get back into it though.
Hello Everyone,
I have a Tmobile G2 that doesn't accept my VALID unlock code. I got this online and the seller of the code is very sure that this is indeed the valid code and he is saying that some one might have entered some invalid code multiple times which is why the phone is not accepting even a valid one from HTC servers.
Please Help!..Is there any way out of this? i.e. to reset the counter or something like that...
Thank you!..
Additional info
To add some additional info, when i typed in the code and pressed unlock, it didn't give me "Invalid code error " "Code invalid" some thing like that but rather said "Network code unlock unsuccessful" to which i was told that the code is fine and it has to do with the Phone itself. I also didn't get any notification of number of tries left.
Hope some one familiar with this can guide me out. Thanks!.
See the gfree method of rooting in the Development section. It will allow you to SuperCID which essentially does the same thing as "unlocking".
Thank you. Good to know that this can be achieved by a different method. I am very much new to this stuff and i haven't even rooted my phone. Its still running stock android.
I also wanted to know if the above error message is thrown if an invalid code is entered or if more wrong tries are made to enter the unlock code. Its just that if the error comes for invalid code, i will charge back my online purchase. .
Also, now i got some searches to make and learn how rooting/s-off/etc.
Help.
So i searched through the forum and found couple of important posts that could unlock my phone i.e.
1) Getting ADB to run @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865685
2) About GFree method @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Vision#Rooting_the_G2
But i want to try these two out as my last resort.
So can anyone tell me if the error message that i mentioned in the subject is because of invalid code or phone got hard locked and hence even a valid code is not working.?????? (How many attempts are required to hard lock G2?)
OK.BEEN USING CM7 STABLE FOR A WHILE NOW BUT NEVER SET UP SIM LOCK.TODAY I DECIDED TO ADD SECURITY BY SETTING UP SIM LOCK.........TICKED THE BOX THEN ENTERED A PIN AND WTF !!!!!!!!!! MY SIM IS NOW PUK LOCKED. (NOT BLOCKED) NEED A NEW SIM THANK YOU VERY MUCH. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD WARN PEOPLE JUST IN CASE ITS A GLOBAL BUG.
Read the thread !!!!
its LOCKED not blocked. blocked is when you can enter a code locked is what happens when you attempt too many unlock tries.my network carrier has told me i need a new sim. Now my point was that i didnt even get 1 attempt at entering any code, it just went straight into puk LOCKED when setting up a simcard pin. i was mearly just warning people in case its a bug. to anyone else thanks anyway but its sorted now.regards slymobi.
cleaned the thread to only contain the main info intended by the OP.. i guess there was a misinterpretation of what the OP was trying to get across but please do avoid situations that lead to abusing..

I forgot my pass code to my phone. How can I reset it or the phone
A full restore in zeus? You need something like a factory reset. Assuming it's not the sim-pin you forgot but a pass you made up yourself. Your sim-pin should be in the papers that came with your simcard.
if you mean the lockscreen passcode a 4 digit one, do it wrong so many times, youll get a popup saying login using gmail account and put your gmail password in and you can edit the code.
Hi,
I need help, my father has a samsung A3 with ROM stock, he knowns 0 about android but he needs phone to work.
He doesn´t have a password code to unlock the phone, but this afternoon, he calls me (with another phone) telling me that suddenly the phone was blocked and he doesn´t knowns the password, he doesn´t put any security code, is like that it appears for "magic". We tried all, i have tried 70 passwords without resoults. I can see the device in android device manager, but i can´t restore the password there. I unlock the SIM but not the phone code.
How can i resolve this?
Any help would be appreciated

Factory reset is probably the only way. This will wipe ALL user data.
Also be aware this may activate Google FRP Lock.
If it does you will need to input the Google sign in details.
