Problem in Recovery mode - Nexus One General

Hi, just wondering if any of you did the same thing.
I booted into recovery by accident, then somehow I was looking for a reboot option I accidently selected "sim lock".
It threw out a 255 error code with the message "not a key card".
Wondering if it means anything. My phone works fine, but I'm wondering if I may have accidently done something to it. I'm running CM, so warranty doesn't cover it anymore.

Curiously yesterday I was wondering what that "sim lock" option might be... Lets see if someone can tell us what's all about.

[Q] Something weird during Recovery Mode Entry. (no command / error messages /erasing

So this was weird. I'm rooted and everything works fine.
I wanted to go into recovery mode, basically test getting to the right menus before installing a new ROM.
I entered the recovery mode, and pressed the back softkey to exit. Maybe I'm on crack or something but when I did, it said something was erasing? I pressed the power button in a moment of semi panic and restarted.
Fast forward a day.
The phone still works fine, but the weirdest thing is happening. Sometimes, for example at my home, i normally get full HSPDA and a faint LTE signal. For the past two days, the phone won't even connect to the network. I check the status screen and it says disconnected and even on soft restart no connection. No towers or anything have gone out.
When in recovery mode now, the android says "NO COMMAND" next to it, and when I exit it it says "ERROR!"
I know the two events may not be directly related, but I'm asking more about what happened when I was in recovery mode. Did I inadvertently do something? And how would I restore?
Thanks in advance for any help. Would resetting the device help?
Try to reflash the recovery , check your apn and phone setting in phone menu.

Stuck with "unsuccessful encryption" dialog, have not activated phone encryption!

Stuck with "unsuccessful encryption" dialog, have not activated phone encryption!
Received my OPT about 3 weeks ago.
Today, I cannot get past the SIM unlock dialog. With a successful PIN code, I see a dialog "encryption unsuccessful", some more text and at the bottom a button with "reset phone". However, nothing happens when I hit that button.
I did perform a factory reset in the recovery mode, but I still see the "encryption unsuccessful" dialog.
I never activated encryption of the phone in the first place.
The phone is un-rooted, no attempt was made to change that.
What is the best appoach now ?
I have the identical issue. Have raised a ticket but not heard back yet. Has yours been resolved?
But mine was rooted
I had the same result encrypting my phone.
I was rooted and lost everything.
I had the luxury of atill being able to boot into twrp to recover.
So the recovery was not effected by the screw up.
You maybe able to simply run through the root process to gain access to a recovery like twrp that is worth somehting to format the space back tp something you can use and reflash the Rom

Nexus 6P - Bootloop and cannot enter recovery mode

A couple of days ago my Nexus 6P suddenly rebooted while in normal use. Now it is stuck in a bootloop ("Please lock the bootloader"-screen -> White "Google" logo -> brief black screen -> repeat).
The device is unlocked, and I am able to enter fastboot mode. Flashing partitions is possible, but I am NOT able to enter recovery. When selecting "Recovery mode" from the menu, the device just goes into the same bootloop. I tried to flash and boot different recovery images (Stock, CM, TWRP) without success. The bootloader and fastboot appear to working normally otherwise.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
Thanks
This just happened to me yesterday.. I've tried flashing different recoveries too but no dice.. I reflashed factory image and still the same bootloop..
This happened to me too like a month ago. I was just checking facebook and stuff, when suddenly it rebooted. Didnt think about it at first as I know it reboots some times, but it just got to the "please lock your bootloader" - message and then the white google-logo. Was able to access bootloader but not recovery. So i flashed stock to see if it helped, but it didnt. Got in contact with the store that sold me the phone, and they said it had to be repaired. Obviously I never told them that it was unlocked, never mentioned I saw the "please lock" - message, only the white google logo. So as I had already flashed stock I just locked the bootloader and returned it to the store and a week later I got it back. They had replaced the circuit board so yeah, nothing you can fix by flashing.
So get an RMA on it, or you will have a very pretty and expensive brick
Hope this helps you

G935T won't boot past the Tmobile logo

So let me start from the beginning.
1. Got a phone as a gift from my uncle. A G935T but had a cracked screen.
2. I accidentally factory reset it with the recovery menu and not the one at settings, leaving it FRP locked.
3. Take it to a shop and replace the screen with a G935F one and also get it FRP unlocked.
Everything good so far and it boots up perfectly. However whatever card I insert it will not detect its network but it knows that a sim is there and it just shows a stop sign instead of the signal bars.
After some research I find that when I dial *#0011#, it showed something that said "MIPI device fail". Googled it and it said that it was hardware failure. So I thought that when the guy changed the display he kept the G935F antennas and not the ones that came originally. So I give him the phone and he replaces the parts and for some reason he decides to flash the phone again and now the phone won't get past the TMobile screen after flashing, nor can the recovery be opened. I currently have my phone, however in pieces as he didn't assemble it and I forgot some parts at the shop. I have my phone minus the back cover, vibration motor and maybe something else is missing idk. But he changed the phone back to the old display and the old antenna and nothing still. I tried countless roms, tmobile and the USA unlocked rom. Still nothing. Repartitioned the phone using a pit file and odin and still nothing.
When I try to open the recovery it says "Installing system update" and it won't get past that.
How do I fix this?

set warranty bit: kernel error and imei theft

hello, i had a samsung j5 (sm-j500f) its imei has been stolen. i contacted with samsung and they said we can restore your imei if you have it. unfortunately, its box is missing and sticker under the battery erased, so we couldnt figure it out that way. we throw that phone away for a while. a couple days ago i found it and i wanted to give it another chance, but it doesnt open now, no reaction for any button conbination (recovery or download mode) and says set warranty bit: kernel. i realized, this error mostly occurs due to custom rom flashes etc. but in my case, there is no such thing. i was using it with official software. i wonder are these two things (error and imei theft) might be related or is there totally another situation here? are there any chances for getting this phone back to life?

Its normal, you cant fix it. Its not an error, its just the system showing a mini debug interface. Where did you get the phone from? Someone else used it? Bcs they tried to install a custom ROM on it, failed and just left it as that. If you shut down the phone, hold down Powerup button, down volume and home button you will enter download mode where you can install stock ROM and fix this soft brick. Follow this

thanks for the answer mate, but i guess i needed to give a little bit detail for the problem. i was the first user of the phone, i bought from store not from someone else. so it had original software from the beginning. i am aware these kind of issues mostly caused by flashing custom roms etc. but this is different. i contacted with samsung customer support when this happened and they said they can fix and give its imei number if i give the imei but unfortunately i had nothing. i couldnt find phone box and the sticker under the battery was faded out. i put the phone away for a while and a couple days ago, i found it and wanted to try my luck one more time. one the other hand, you mentioned download mode but i tried all button combinations and no response. if i can enter download mode, i probably would have been flashed original software, but still there is imei problem. i guess i will let this phone go. i cant find any other solution.
