Just flashed my HD2 with Miri's ROM 2.1 "Miri_HD2_WM65_21895_Sense25_V7.1". This is my first cooked ROM on HD2. It works well until I find out that every time I connect my HD2 to the PC in Disk Drive mode (fast file transfer), after a while the phone will completely freeze whether or not it remains connected to the PC. I then have to remove the battery and restart the phone. Suspecting if this is due to registry editing done to the phone, I reflashed the above ROM, and the problem persists.
Does anyone note this situation? Does this freezing have anything to do with Miri's cooked ROM? And is there anyway I could get rid of it?
P/S: The phone works flawlessly if the connection mode is set to "ActiveSync".
Thanks for any tips.

Hi all,
I have an XPA S200 alias Prophet from Swisscom Mobile. The first thing I did was installing the "PDAMobiz Editon Upgrade Rom for SPL 2.15.0001" ROM which worked well for a while.
Now I can't sync it anymore using the USB connection (IR works). Yesterday I installed the ROM again, restored my data and was able to sync. I thought ok, everything is ok now. But today sporadically I have the same issue again.
If the connection is not ok, my computer only shows an unknown device.
Does anyone have an idea what can cause this problem. It seems like the USB port of the device is blocked from time to time.
By the way has anyone an English version of the original Swisscom ROM for the S200? I have forgot to back it up before installing the new ROM.
ROM version: 2.15.13.27 WWE
ROM date: 3/9/06
Radio version: 02.19.21
Protocol version: 4.1.13.09
ExtRIN version: 2.21.13.102 PDAMobiz.com
I have ActiveSync 4.2.0 (Build 4876) (English) installed on my computer.
Best regards,
Tom
Today I was playing around with my device. I tried several things, but it is not possible anymore to connect using USB. Even a ROM upgrade doesn't work anymore.
I can still sync my device using IR, but any ROM changes are not possible anymore.
Don't know if this will help but found that connecting the SPV M600 to the USB lead occasionally tripped out the USB 2 port on the computer. Just switching the computer off and on didn't help as it was only a soft reset. Switching off and disconnecting from the mains for 60 seconds, then switching on again reset the USB port and allowed activesync to work again (untill it tripped out next time). This has happened about 5 times now in 3 weeks. This applied to all USB ports, not just the one connected to.
Unfortunately this doesn't help. I made some further tests. A friend has the same device.
Using my computer I can sync his device but not mine. Using his computer we can sync his device as well but mine doesn't.
But again suddenly it was possible to sync sporadically. Now I think there is really a problem with the USB connector of the device.
Because I assume a hardware problem and need to contact the vendor I need to get an original ROM from Swisscom now (no matter which language/English preferred).
Does anyone know where to get such a ROM? Swisscom currently doesn't offer any to download. Additionally is there a way to upgrade the ROM using an SD card?
I think I got one step further. When I use the USB-switch tool and change from rndis to serial and back Activesync connects again.
For a moment it is connected and syncing but then it gets disconnected again.
No matter what I try the connection is not stable.
Hello,
this sounds like exactly my problem.
Previously i had T-mobile MDA (with dipod rom), and it worked fine, no problem at all.
Now i have a prophet (again Dopod rom), and i've had nothign but problems. Activesyc initially worked once or twice, but has not for a long time now. i've tried deinstalling, re-partnering, deleting everything, etc. I've even now had XP re-installed on the computer and done a cold boot on the Prophet...now change!
The only thng that works is syncing via infrared! This works every time, no problem at all.
I have no idea what the issue is...but it is very frustrating.
i have the same problem, it worked for two weeks. today suddenly does not connect anymore. WTF? I install new activesync, rebbot divece, computer & still nothing...
doesnt work on other computer also... Which files are inportent on divice to connect it with activesync? Please help... tnx
I have been running Bepe .65 for a few months without fault. A few days ago as a call came in the phone froze. I manually reset and since then have difficulties booting from the 4 colour screen.
If I leave the battery out over night the phone will boot and operate. If I use mtty the phone will boot into windows and operate. If I then manually reset the phone I am back to the 4 colour screen.
When Windows is running and I plug in the USB cable the processor appears to go into overload and stops functioning. The moment I remove the USB cable the phone returns to normal. Active sync using Bluetooth is fine. USB works normally from the 4 colour screen as I have tried a few different roms hoping to fix the boot issue. I have also tried reloading Hard-SPL.
Any suggestions??
Heard about that specific problem some time ago, but I can't say where or provide links.
My suggestion would be to upgrade the ROM to bepe 0.67 or to a newer version from another chef, since the bepe-Project seems to be discontinued.
Personally I use the ROM "Project Glass 0.4" without any problems. I can also recommend the udK ROMs.
thanks for the suggestion. I'm using Ukd now though the fau;t remains.
The fix was to replace the radio Rom.
Hello, I've a problem with my HTC P3600 (win Mobile 6.1), it doesn't start (also using hard reset); i've tryed to buy a new battery but the results are the same. Moreover if I connect the phone with the charge (without the battery), the led red brights, but doesn't start anyway. What can i do? Thanx for the answers
Can anyone help me?
you need to put the device in boot loader mode and attempt a reflash. i had the same issue and a reflash helped me.
Did you flash a new rom or something onto your phone after which this problem surfaced? If that was the case, try flashing another rom or better yet, check with the person that cooked the rom. You can PM them or something. How did this problem start and since when have you had it?
Hello all.
I have problem with WIFI.
When I look into SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/WIRELESS MANAGER, I´m missing WIFI there => Only Bluetooth and Phone is shown.
I try reflash radio (0.89), original ROM, some ROMs from KEYX but nothing happened
After reset to factory settings still nothing.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks in advance
This should correct the missing WiFi issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3791117&postcount=191
Hi Kiemlo
Unfortunately the key is 1 already
I try change key to 0 but results is wifi missing still
Any idea ?
Thx
what happened to cause it to be missing?
did you flash the phone witha new ROM? install a program recently?
Have yuo tried doing a FULL backup then a hard reset?
Yes I think that wifi just disappear after some ROM flashing.
But I try to flash all ROMs which I have before and WIFI not appear again in no one ROM.
I try hard reset without backup(by the menu factory reset and by voice comm+power+reset) with same result - wifi missing.
Hi,
My current rom removes wifi from the list when its connected to usb or activesync. When I unplug it automatically goes back to the state it was before, either powered off or on_and_connected!
Also, use radio rom 0.89, with 0.88 and 6.5 i had no wifi, it was present in the list but could not see any SSID's.
Cheers,
Balint
Yes I know wifi can´t activate (grey text) when its plugged to USB.
But in my case don´t matter if its plugged or unplugged - WIFI option is missing(not only with grey text)
radio is 0.89 and OS is 6.5 so there is something else broken
Not that this would help much, but I had a similar issue with my 914c while using HP's default OEM 6.1 software. The Wi-Fi used to vanish from the Comm. Manager every so often. For what it's worth, a couple of soft-resets would fix the problem sooner or later (for me, anyway). I'm using Montecristo's 6.5 now and haven't had the problem since.
Yea friend soft resets - I did it thousand-times, even hard resets 1000x not help...

I usually run into the same problem after ROM updates. Switch it off, remove the battery for a minute, insert the battery back in and hard reset fixes it always.
Regards
Flash original ROM with downgrading radio to 0.88
Sergious: unfortunately - this wouldn´t help.
even if yes, I can´t stand original ROM
I´m going to try Montecristo ROM
Best regards
Not working WiFi is a radio problem, not ROM. Link that i gave will downgrade your radio to 0.88, then you can flash any rom
PS. Montecristo ROM ?? It is for 914...
oh I miss that so next flashing will be with keyx roms still
I will try some flash and resets by the night ...
what goes around comes around
Hello everyone who can helps with me
I have some more informations.
After flash original HP ROM phone always show message problem with DEVICE.EXE until I disable sending report.
When i flash some KEYX 6,5 ROM this message doesn´t appear but when I look onto task manager DEVICE.EXE is mostly of the time under 90% of CPU.
With this battery is drain too quickly too.
This is may be the bad trick :/
Somebody knows it ?

I had the same problem with 23001 Beta 13.2 WWE, the WiFi was initially disappear from my Wireless Manager, then i change this : my network card connects to - The Internet (default is work), and the WiFi is now again show in Wireless Manager, but can not switch on, so after soft reset it works ok...
Zemun_PFC : thanks you for your advice - its so close to solve my issue.
I did what you say and
1) after soft restart BLUE LED blinking(means some wireless active - BT was off before restart so I suggest WIFI will be working) BUT
2) when i go to SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/COMM MANNAGER and click on wifi -> waiting icon then nothing happened - STILL only TURN ON - BUT SHOULD BE ON already => so on/off trigger doesnt work
3!!) when I´m in COMM MANAGER and click on SETTINGS in bottom right corner I see WIRELESS LAN - this not happened before!!
4 when I´m click on it it show only BLUETOOTH and PHONE settings :/
You helped me a few with it
I must solve it

some of my roms (older version) had a issue when you use a2dp and turn off bt. Restart then device.exe will take most of the cpu
Keyx : yes you are right - I flash another one from you, now is device.exe issue cleared.
Hello all,
I'm not sure but i think my blackstone is on its last legs.
It all started after i flashed to Dutty's last rom the r15 one. Did the usual uspl and eveything went to plan. Then about a week ago the phone frooze, i could'nt get it to reset so had to take the battery out (no biggy). Then tried turning it back on, and it just frooze again right at the windows start-up screen. So did a hard reset and the phone seemed very slow and jumpy.
Then i thought maybe the download of dutty's rom wasn't the best. So today i had planned to install a different rom and see if it was just a bad download or sumthing. And heres the big problem, i can't get the bootloader to connect to my pc.
And what seems strange is that when i enter the bootloader it flashes up with the re/green/blue/white screen andt ehn it shows a grey screen with "loading......." for about 10 seconds then comes back the normal bootloading screen. As usual serial pops up at the bottom, but when connected to my pc it won't show USB!!
I have win7 64, but i have set it up so i can flash using USPL as thats how i got dutty's R15 rom on there.
Any help would be great and hopfully i can get this sorted swn as i love my hd.
p.s
i've spent the past 2 hours searching here and havent found anyone with the same problem.
Thanks
Antony
if you could update from the sd card that would solve some of your problems.but i realy do not know if it is working if you do not have HSPL.
maybe you can find some info on the forums about updating via sd card without HSPL.
or you could try to connect to a computer with other operating system than windows 7.
i am now installing the stock rom.
hopefully then i wil be able to install a cooked rom again.

I will see what the outcome is from the stock rom. And if i can't get it working again with win7 then i'll have to set up my mini pc (made a pc inside an old nintendo SNES) as thats got xp running
thanks once again
just for my curiosity what method are you using to flash a stock rom if you cannot connect to computer through usb?

Well after more hours spent reading thro web page after web page, i stumbled over someone saying that it could be down to the usb cable and i have a few mini usb one, so tried them all, finally got the bootloader to show the usb.
I was then going to install a cooked rom, but thought i'd be the best to go for stock first.
All is working ok now. I'm not sure if it was down to the usb cable totally tho as it was a bit strange the whole grey loading screen on the bootloader which has gone now with the stock rom.
ah well looks like its fixed for now.
