Streaming Media Player for Ignito

I have been trying to track it down so I can get the iPlayer working, but every file I install I get a message stating that there arent correct certificates of files are missing.
But it also said that before I had tried to install it.
Anyone got any ideas on where I can get the HTC Streaming Media Player that will install on the XDA Ignito ROM?

in the same boat, im not at the state where i want to update my rom, the stock one seems stable.
i'd love to get this working though

I've got the same problem i wonder if O2 are blocking the streaming media app. Seams odd as its on the Orbit 2.

my other phone is the orbit 2, on the stock rom streaming media does not work. update the rom it does. it's either a settings issue or the software itself

I like the o2 ROM, so I don't really want to flash it, but I am really running out of ideas.
I've tried installing Streaming Media from a link on here about the Trinity, but I got the same message, I've tried running app unlocks with no joy. What have o2 done to this ROM?

just realised, im missing the app entirely!
it aint on the ignito rom at all
can anyone add a link for the diamond streaming media app

Not really relevant in this thread, I really want to know if anyone has managed to getting it working on an Ignito.
I think I might just have to flash it. But I think I will switch to the official HTC ROM.
I know the app is not on the ROM, but it is strange that I get the same message when I'm trying to stream straight off the iPlayer site or when I have installed the app and trying to run it from programs.

this vearios installs correctly, but won't connect via the network whan you try to stream. think this is a settings issue on the o2 uk rom, had this problem with stock o2 uk roms on other devices, hope it helps and if anyone gets it working please post?

I installed it, failed to find network, but it is a step further then I have got before. Not sure what would cause the error.
I will play with some settings and see what I can find out.

Where do you get PVPlayer, also, how do you make Opera recognise PVPlayer as the default streaming application, whenever I try and install a different streaming media player, it still tries to open the HTC Streaming Media player, even if I uninstall it! I've tried changing as many registry entries as I can find, but must still be missing something.

i need the following files:
/windows/operaL.exe
/windows/opera9 (the whole folder)
/windows/opera9.exe
please anybody that have the original rom with opera 9.5, post those files here

i need to know, how do i add hebrew encoding? like when i use the mail tab and i click on a message, i want to have the option to select
menu > view > language > hebrew (windows ) / hebrew (ISO logical / visual) etc....
i had this option when i had the dude hebrew installed on my old rom, but it doesnt work on the new one. (miri)

that defenetly does the work, however i cannot activesync and cannot call anyone (the signal icon shows "!" instead of the "▄█▄▌" thing.....
and when i click on it it writes "no service" instead of "cellcom", when i ininstalled the program everything became normal)

and if you dont mind.. another question about miri rom (V18 forgot to say... and radio 1.09 if it matters..)
how come i that in wmp and album i watch movies and they are slow at the beginning, also its low quality like the coreplayer...
and in the old rom the videos were really high quality and no stucking (except the coreplayer that is slow at the beginning! in both of the roms)
i thought the new rom should display videos better than the old rom..

and another thing~~~!
i need new htc keyboard (like miris rom htc keyboard) with hebrew support.
so if anyone knows about somethin like that just post it.
or if you dont, just say how can i edit the language files of it.. for example the italian files so it will become hebrew..

i need the opera that comes with the htc... does it matter which rom?
cus i had opera that supports hebrew, and with the miri rom it does not support it.. (mirrored) but i think i can solve this by replacing the files...

you may need to re code ur videos to something a bit smaller
and try reflashing miris v18 or better still switch to v19

im not reflashin.. that will not solve it. the problem is in the rom.
try playin somethin in the album, video about 100MB or in the wmp, its slow at the beginning! and its coreplayer quality it does not use all the ability of the screen, the old windows media player does! that is what im talking about, maybe il flash duttys rom =\ but i want wm 6.5..
actually i really want the wm 6.1 original htc rom back.. then il finally wont have any problem - but still no wm 6.5 =O

reflashing will replace them rom
so it will fix it

what is the point havin so high resolution if the video quality is lower than vga.. in the htc original rom the quality was awesome.

go to youtube application, write: "half blood prince",
for speed performance, play the video with 1:58 minutes time, it should be the second one, play it.
this video is not fullscreen, now as you see its really fast i mean the effects and everythin, the old rom plays it without any problem even whithout waiting for it to load. now play it and see yourself, it stucks so many times and the quality is lower than the old rom.
now go back and scroll to the bottom and find 2:28 minutes video.
make sure that the settings are "auto" or "high quality video"
and not "fast download".
play it and again same problem. the youtube player cant play this quality video like the old youtube app in the old htc rom. its slower.
btw there is another problem that sometimes it writes "cannot play video"
and you have to restart the youtube app and hope that next time it works.
now something i dont expect you to do, but if you convert a dvd and play it in the original rom, it is awesome~~~quality, but in miris rom it stucks and slow and it stops sometimes, and the quality again, is not good.

i installed the htc album (original) now the vid quality is "awesome" but the scrolling is slow =\ i dont know what to do with that./

ive converted many of my dvds and watched youtube it always ends up okay for
but then ivenever had miris 18
so what im saying to you is eiter download version 19 or another custom rom and see how that goes

you wont need the opera files if you flash the newer rom

i need the opera original files so i can read hebrew normally...

Touch HD Disappointment

Hey guys, hope you can help me...
bought a HTC Touch HD last week, and siince i buy this device
NEVER played some video or music in the in-built player
when i try to play songs, it play 30 or 40 sec and crash...
when i try to play video it says: loading and hangs...
im a little disapointed...so sad that a device like this have

Why would you be disappointed with the HD because you flashed a cooked rom and a couple of things aren't working properly ? it happens, try another, or better yet, use the [in my experience] more reliable HTC tested roms....you can't always have your cake and eat it,

I strongly recommend you to play with the stock ROM for some days, getting used to it, knowing what HTC is providing along with the phone. Then try different ROM's with different combination of winmo 6.1, 6.5, 6.5.x, Manila 2.1 and 2.5. Also keep in mind that cooked ROM's are actually providing new features from another phone on your HD for testing, they are not meant to be running on the HD.

Install a stock rom or go to another custom but i would say do another custom to see if it is solved.
there are apps that can play videos and music such as coreplayer, for music use nitrogen, its on the forum somwhere so do a search for it.
for web radio i use WunderRadio but i dont know if theres any others programs similar. Trial lasts for 15 days i think but when it expires just reinstall but its one neat application but make sure you have a H band otherwise it does stop and go on 3G its just crap for streaming

i was using Miri V17, i've flashed Miri V18 and everything is the same...
videos says "Loading" and hangs, and music stops at 20 or 30 secs...
i really expect more of this device....

and its working fine!
playing videos and music as i want!!!
videos are amazing, and songs are really fantastic to hear!!!
i didn't restored my old backup, i think that something in the backup
is wrong...
so...now i have the HTC Touch HD!

i am also running on wm6.5-miri, the wmedia player juz wont continue playing song.
it play a song n when it ends, it just stop, it wont continue with the next song?

Youtube App missing in t-mobile uk rom?!

Hey there, ive had the htc hd2 for a while after getting rid of the touch hd and have to say, its alot better then the previous model but one thing thats missing is the youtube application, i have got in on contract from t-mobile uk and was wondering is they anyway of getting the youtube application without flashing a new rom?

yes it can be installed as a cab..... but it will screw up other networking programs.
use the search function and search for t mobile youtube app there are several threads about it.

I loaded Ytube via the cab and it works fine without any issues with other programs. I am on T-Mobile. My only problem is the distorted sound on high frequencies during calls.

[Q] tvcatchup not working

Can you please help.
i have just installed the WWE_6.5.X_DsE_GTX_V6 rom & all seems fine but when i use skyfire with tvcatchup i get error none uk & it wont play any channels.
i am obviously in uk so is there a mod i can do to get the servers to recognise i am in the uk.
i am also using radio Leo_Radio_15.40.50.07U_2.11.50.20.

Did it work before?? m.tvcatchup.com usually works for me

two things come to mind,
1 some versions of opera with some settings route traffic through their servers in (i think) norway, so the target site sees the connection as coming from there.
2 when connected using mobile data, the ip address you get can resolve to a different country, example o2 addresses resolve (or can resolve) to germany, so same problem.
no suggestions for you, though, sorry.

I had latest stock ROM version installed & tvcatchup worked fine. plus a lot of channels are missing when you use m.tvcatchup.
i had this problem a few months ago with other roms so i went back to the stock rom & tvcatchup worked fine through skyfire browser.
but with the cooked roms it seems to be routed through a different server.
just an idea but if these roms are american versions why don't we have a uk leo hd2 forum & a usa version as there is a tmobile usa forum but i think the cooked roms on the leo hd2 forum are based on usa roms.
please can anyone help as i like these roms but if i can't use apps that i love i will have to go back to the stock rom.

Have you checked to see if they are down for maintenance,
it seems to occur quite frequently....
You will deffo need the m. suffix on the URL to watch on your HD2

don't see why i should have to use the m.tvcatchup site when i can use the service fine on a stock rom.
That is just stupid.

i can confirm that tvcatchup.com (didn't try the m.tv... address) works fine on my phone, latest skyfire, 2.13 tmous based cooked rom, both through my virgin media net and o2 mobile web.

My apologies,it works just dandy without the m.

It's ok i have sorted it cheers it was the 2.11.50 radio.
i switched to the 2.09.50.29 radio & it is now working fine.
