Hi guys
I have had a really good look around and can't seem to find the solution. I want to turn off the annoying "Cannot Connect" pop up. I don't really have any problems connecting most times and when I Do it is only for a short time if I am in a poor reception area. What I dont need is that bloody pop up. Anyone know how to turn it off please?

I think i have messed up my settings for the gprs. When i go to IE, it dials in and then goes to opening but it will sit there for about 5 mins then i get a message saying it can not connect.
Can someone please tell me what i need to do to get it sorted again, what should the seeting be.
well that is really wierd, it has just come back maybe it is not something i did maybe the service was down for abit there!!!
If the phone was connected to GPRS, and GPRS service became unavailable for a reason, the phone displayes a notification saying that it failed to connect to the access point etc., and this notification is displayed permanently, until I close it manually. The bad thing is that it looks like while this notification is visible, the system does not run other notifications... in particular, alarms do not work.
Is there a way to stop bothering me with such a notification?
For a while I see no other way but to manually disconnect from GPRS before going to sleep...
anybody got a solution to this problem, as it this keeps appearing on mine when using Tomtom trafiic, it covers virtually the whole screen, making it very annoying. There must be a way of turning it off.
if anyone can help please let me know.
Thanks
no one was ever able to help me with this for the 8125 either. I hope someone solves it on the 8525 though. because i'll be getting mine on tuesday
This is my dream to stop this as well...
But I can't find a fix anywhere
Hi,
I've noticed that when i am in a place where i know there is no signal and then move to another place that definatley has signal my X1 will still be searching - often i can be hours later before i notice
I have found that if i switch flight mode off and straight back on, I will get signal a few seconds later (if it's available).
I have looked into this and many people are experiencing similar problems with HTC phones aswell.
I was wondering if anyone knows of or would be able to develope a small program that would turn flight mode off and on if the signal is nil for more than 10 mins (and repeat every 10 mins until signal is found).
I don't know anything about writing programs and have no idea where to start or even if it's possible.
I'm sure that a program like this would be hugely benificial for the community as i have read that many other people share this problem with me.
Any help would be appriciated.
I have the same problem but for me, cycling "flight mode" wouldn't work because I've set a PIN for the radio and cycling flight mode asks you for the PIN.
I have discovered that if you tap the radio strength icon and go to settings, tap "Network" and then tap "find Network" that restores the radio after 2-3 seconds (assuming you're in a reception area). I've also discovered the "stuck in searching" problem seems to occur less if the network is set to "manual" rather than "automatic" selection although this experience is somewhat subjective.
Whilst I like the X1, this unreliability and the problem with cracking cases is not good for such an expensive phone.
If anyone could develop a software workaround like there was for the dying bluetooth problem, that would be a great help.
hi
i get this message (see pic) almost every time I wake my device up. It's kinda starting to annoy me :S. It says something about not able to connect, altough I can instantly start surfing the web without any problems
Someone must know how to fix this?!
This is the single most annoying thing about my HD2. I want the data connection on but I don't need it telling me when it can't connect especially when I am in the middle of trying to compose a text message or navigate somewhere using tomtom!

Thanks but the issue is not the connectivity or lack of it just the annoying notification. I don't want to be notified regardless of whether or not I can connect. Anyone know how to turn off the notification?
When I check for update return me this message: "Network coverage is currently poor. Move to area whit better network.". Anyone can help me? The wifi signal is full and I have internet.
