I have a Touch 2 and ported my old telephone number when switching mobile providers. The phone still shows the old number in a few places such as SIM Manager, and in Settings>Personal> Phone.
Where is the number held, and how can I change it?
Thanks
Kevin
I think you might have to reset your phone and/or remove the sim temporarily. But i've only had experience with non phone versions of Windows. Someone else may be able to give you a better answer.
try open sim manager and go in menu->tools-> list your number (menu tools is not visible without gesture from down to up). In this menu you can change number

...it seems, if I use the Fit4Cat tweaker to turn off the skinning of the phone, the t-mobile dial pad goes back to being normal windows-look one, but the smartdial no longer works! If i choose the menu option, nothing happens and typing part of a number in doesnt do a contacts lookup. Does anyone know what went wrong?
I don't know the why's and where fores but I hear you on the ugly TMobile Dialpad.
I used one of THESE (the reptile_red one) to change thedial pad and I still have smart dial functionality.
I've upgraded the rom on my Hermes and phone numbers display in (XXX) XXX-XX format after I pressed 'Dial' [this is in the phone module]
The same display format is used for incoming calls as well while it is ringing.
Is there a way that I can change it to some other way like XXXX-XXXX ?
Thanks
If I remember right if you go in to regional settings and change the area of where you are it can change this, as well as a few other things.
Hi,
i'm wondering, that no dialer can do what every normal handy from the last 15Years can do that.
example for better explaination - on non wm phones (nokia, sony, etc...)
1.) make a call 12346789 (i make a mistake and missed to pressed the "5")
-> end the call manually
(then i see/hear, that i made a mistake and now wants to make a new call with the correct number.....)
2.) click on "green button" (switch to phone mode)
3.) click on "green button" again (shows the last called numbers) + filled the dailing line with the last number and now it should be possible to EDIT the last number. So i go left with the cusor and insert the missing number "5"
in all wm6 or wm6.5 dialer i never saw this function again.
ok - not very often the user makes a mistake,
but also very often - i call a number: +49123456789 the main number of a big company, then i hear in the phone call, that the person which i want have the dialing extra-number 567.
SO, then i must call the whole number again + must add the extra dailing number 567. this is really uncomfortable !!!!!
it can't be true, that i have to input the hole number again ? or ?
is there anywhere a solution for it ?
maybe we should try to hack this ?
some ideas - or who is also interessed on it ?

How can I access my STK SIM tool Kist (SIM card - operator 's Menu)? is this X2 don't have or I miss...?
Contradict to mine. Sim tool kit menu keep appearing. the icon is ugly, everytime I delete it, after reboot, it reappear. so now I change the icon. btw, the menu is empty. only blank screen appear. I guess my provider didn't provide any sim tool kit service.
so not to make my answer off topic, the answer is, it should appear by default. I notice it when I upgrade to MR2. I only used MR1 for like 2 hrs. I cant assure wether it appears in MR1

I don't mean SIM TKUI which is coming from Windows but there should be other operator menu (I know that it shows up in my first phone X1). I'm using X2 as my secondary phone with the different provider which support that STK too (I see it in my friend's nokia).
Hi there,
I find it a little "complicated" to always pick the right SIM card before I make a call. I know I can save favourites, but I find the handling that Samsung has applied to their phones much more inspiring: You just set the "active" SIM, which means this SIM will be used for calls/texts until you change it. It's added to the notification bar. I would very much love to do the same here. Is there any APP or hack (I have xposed installed) you can recommend?
Its directly in the settings bro... SIM Cards -> Calls
You can set it to SIM 1 , SIM 2 or to be asked everytime (which is the default). You can do the same for SMS.
Yo bro, I know. But that means I have to press two additional buttons ("remember selection") and the SIM card to use before each call. With the way this is implemented by Samsung, I just set my active SIm and it's being used until I switch. The good thing is it's in the notification bar and not hidden somewhere in the settings.
Hence my question... Is there any hack that will make this more comfortable or accessible?
Truedialer
Try the app truedialer,it has these active sim feature plus ask everytime! no modules required for this simple task
Found something that does it for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pixelrush.dualsimselector
