If this is the Touch Pro 2 put out by Sprint, US Cellular, or Verizon it is CDMA and CDMA phones lack the required FM tuner to make use of this feature. Doing some research on it, I was told that the FM tuner was sacrificed to make space for CDMA hardware. I don't know of the validity of it, but that is what Sprint Tech support told me. Further research confirmed it on the other CDMA versions as well.
Quite Honestly, there are better programs anyhow. The Touch pro 2 is much to expensive to be a running or workout radio (as could get damaged) and the only other uses may be in a car or at the office.
The program I use to get Radio, of sorts, is Resco Radio. You can pick it up here at http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/.
Hope this answers your question.
Considering it plays MP3's anyway, why would you consider using it as a radio. It is the least used app on my Rhodium... Only time is if there is a major problem and I'm stuck in traffic, then I have my car stereo...
might as well use slacker if your going for random music pretty good app only thing is its a battery whore. Works great on my VZW TP2.

Does anyone know if there is a FM radio in built or know some way to get on on the Dopod 838 PRO?
Thanks!
Kellogs cornflakes has them sometimes "inside" the box for free with certain promotions.
In all honestly buddy, u gotta read....
Don't know of an add-on fm tuner you can install, but if you have data services you can access www.thestreamcenter.com and you will find a link to just about every FM station in every market of the grand old USA.
I did read, for 30 mins.....just a simple yes or now would be really helpful
I read that the jasjam does have a radio......please any help is greatly appreciated!
yes the jasjam does have a radio.
......THANKS!, and to clarify that the dopod 838pro and the jasjam are the same unit internally??
So I need to search for a compatible rom with the fm radio enabled?
When I do a search for FM RADIO, all I recieve is radio in reference to the gsm radio.
Thanks for the tidbit of info!
I believe JJ was talking about the GSM radio in the phone. Don't get your hopes up.
Love your work JJ.
lol, ok, FM RADIO
To prevent possible further abuse, there isn't an FM radio built in to the phone. As someone posted earlier, you will need to stream any FM feeds that you want.
Resco Radio has worked fine for me.
Good luck though, let me know if you find it.
Thanks man ! i will keep reading..............................
Hey
Is there a cab of FM Radio for Elf??
Thanks
The Elf does not have fm radio, never has, never will. It is not capable as it does not have the hardware; however, if you want to try it anyway - Try the FM Radio cab for the touch diamond.
I have already trying this but it doesn't works... Thanks for your fast answer
Sorry, It doesn't work because it can't work. As I said before, No hardware in the elf for FM Radio.
If you have a good data plan - Use can listen to internet radio. This is what I do and I get much better selection of music to listen to with no *(or hardly any) commercials.
Ok, good idea
i know that there is no hardware in the elf but is there a mod you can do to add the hardware inside the phone? or is there a mini usb attachment to give you fm?

FM recorder
Can anybody provide program for recording FM programs. THe same was present in O2 Atom Life.
Thanks in advance
Re
Surprising not even single reply at such a Forum
I hardly think this will help but you can record radio with Resco Pocket Radio... There are tons of channels to choose from.
I know it's internet radio and not from the built-in FM radio, but I thought it's better than nothing.
I miss this too. I used to record stuff all the time to listen back to later. I'm sure some one must be able to extract the atom radio app and port it to the diamond, it's just a question of if they wanted too. I'd do it myself if I knew how
hi all after plugging in headphones to my htc hd2 i find the default htc radio not get a very good signal at all, my older omnia1 got a great signal all the time but this ones iffy as hell, will installing another radio app work any better or is it juts a **** radio reciver built in

Hi i'd be grateful if anyone could answer one or both of my Q's, thanks:
1. Home screen tabs
Question: can programs be added to the home screen tabs.
I wanted to know if it was possible to extend the number of home screen tabs to the ones that already exist - home, mail, messages, internet, calender, [my program] etc. I'm aware that these can be personalised and removed but dont know how to add to them. Is this possible? Is there a reg tweak, cab to enable this. Couldnt find any so far. Already using the kindly provided tweak from Vovichek_Jamrecords to enable 16 quick links but wanted to add extra home screen tabs.
2. FM transmitter
Question: Does the HTC HD 2 Leo have the ability to transmit fm signals. Does it have a transmitter ability.
I wanted to be able to send music to my car radio without the use of a 3rd party bolt on fm transmitter. I am unable to use bluetooth and have no other way to connect to stereo. I dont want to replace it. Thanks.
The HD2 Leo has the ability to receive fm radio (via headphones) obvioulsy and wondered if its chip can be enabled to transmit. Is there an app, tweak available. Or is it a hardware question meaning the phone simply cant do it. If so can anyone suggest a bolt on micro usb powered fm transmitter. I have a bolt on transmitter for the iphone and wondered if equivalent could be available for the HTC
Thanks. Seb.
Note:
I have had the the Leo for a few weeks now. The main attraction is its great screen and openess to tweaks etc (despite apples jailbreak community). Being v new to the windows mob platform I'm struggling a little but I am liking it. There are many things that i am missing about the iphones OS (its much better suited for the simpleton). Its OS just seems much smoother and rounded. I'm sure everyone is aware of WM6.5 deficiencies. Apps just seem much more tailored to the apple. Well I guess Apple control the hardware and software etc and so is to be expected. Will keep perservering with the HTC however. If it just had a front facing camera (not that the apple does) then that would have clenched it. Also keyboard - no matter what cabs, tweaks i try its just not as good as the iphone. I hope WM7 that i hear is coming will be that much better. There's plenty of info about the phones on this forum and others and so wont get into the iphone v htc debate. However, comparison is unavoidable!
There is no answer?
I want to use FM Transmitter on HD2.
The HD2 does not have an FM transmitter.
You could try the Motorola T505 that takes a Bluetooth A2DP stereo signal from the phone and acts as a BT Handsfree, but it also retransmits the music as an FM signal.

Answer to question 2: NO
you can buy fm transmitters that take the output from your 3.5 stereo socket dirt cheap nowadays.I have seen them for a tenner on my local market though I would be a little wary of the signalquality. this has the added benefit of working with anything with a standard earphone output.I have never seen a micro usb transmitter.
