US number format, how to change

I'm sure this has been answered several times, but couldn't find anything in the wiki (google search) nor in the forum. Most likely because I'm using the wrong set of words.
Latest ROM upgrade has introduced the american style number (212) 456-453 etc. How do I get rid of this? Tried to change regional settings but no luck.
Any help appreciated.

It seems to default to that format but when I enter non North American
format numbers they do show up correctly when using the " - " as the
space between routing, prefix and area. Then again my X01HT is having
other issues which everyone can fix and I had working up until I hard reset
the bloody thing.

Set your regional options in Settings -> System -> Regional Settings, and choose the right country. That will solve the issue - certainly did for me!
Edit: Just read that you tried that, and it didn't work. Ah. Erm, could be an issue with the ROM? Sorry I've got nothing more helpful :-/

after couple of resets and a power on/off it worked. Thanks N2A.

SIM Menu access problem

i tried to download 3 different roms in my PDA (O2 IIs) and all of them has the sim menu.
however, all of them has a problem accessing to this menus. (thats the reason why i reflash and reflash again different roms for me to check what is the problem.)
my sim is also a retailer sim and i read some of your post that your are also a retailer. so im asking if how did you manage to enter and have access to you sim.
ok, maybe you are having a hard time imagining what im trying to imply with "access" and "enter".
in my previous mobile phone (n70), i can send load one's number using the smart menu HOWEVER, in my PDA, although i can see the menu, enter in the first level where i can see the options like phonebook/inbox, buddy balance, PLDT load and etc. But when im trying to enter some of this options, there is no joy. I cant access this options. i cant select one of them. even clicking or double clicking it will not gain you the access to enter the 2nd level.
thus, i cant use them but i can see the first level.
So hope you can also help me with this. I have difficulty trying to extract my sim card and putting it to another phone just to load up myself and other mobile phone.

We too have the same problem in Hima since wm5. Finally there is one new rom with a working STK for himalaya. Get more info from Hima wm6 forum.

Which of the Hima's rom is working with STK ?

PDAVIET ROM (Build 19213) has a working STK. Me & some others also tried to extract the STK out of it and to create a CAB to be used in other ROMs. But we all failed. If U do it successfully, shere it with us too....

Yes, i saw somewhere else that doing it by cab didn't do the trick since it was impossible to update some areas which are embbeded in the ROM.
I have absolutely no idea and no know-how to do it.
I've tried on PDAVIET 19213 ROM download, but i can succeed. If you have the link for rapidshare or else, please tell me.

Ok, so i managed to download ROM WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.19213 (Build 19213.1.0.4 PV DVH) and installed it on my BA, and the STK Menu remains not working.
Any thoughts ?

SMS issue

i try lots of sys 21018 21028 and more to cook rom for gene (P3400i )
rom work fine but i get sms issue i cannot send sms
when i go start-> massaging -> sms -> menu -> new sms nothing happen
can anybody help me

Try hard resetting your phone, it's the fix-all solution. If you don't know how, search it :]

Did it worked before? Have you tryed uninstalling program to see which one Coused it but if u hard reseted then you need to install a new Rom get your phone flashed and updated

HTC HD2 freeze

Hi everybody,
I bought 5 devices of HTC HD2 for my company.
Each device freeze after running several programs.
I've tried the following steps:
1. Performed hard reset
2. Upgrade the ROM version to 1.66 but nothing helped.
3. Remove the HTC sense.
Nothing of the above steps helped.
Please help me ,i'm desperate...

This sound crazy and my suggestion is to return them from the place you buy them this can be some hardware problem.... witch mean Serious Problem
If you explain more i can try help you to find witch couse the problem with the freeze this is not normal for device with such a powerfull processor.
Anyway witch is your company? to come work for you when you are buying Leos...

everyone now will start to ask about the cool company that gives HD2 and forget about the problem
john (if thats your real name), post the same question in the leo forum and make sure to mention the installed software. also make sure you update to a newer ROM

I have had the same problem and am currently using
Rom Version 2.10.531.1
OS version 5.2.21889
What I did to solve to this problem was
Step1: Clean everything off the device in Settings > Application > Remove Programs
(Can choose to do whatever I just chose to delete everything and start from scratch it was that or a factory reset (Settings > Security > Factory Reset)
Step2: Turn off the Location Services in Settings > location (I unchecked everything AGPS and HTC location)
Step3: Downloaded and installed Cleanram

So far it has been peaceful (3 days and counting) hope this helps or can be condensed to find the problem until an update arrives.

We are a small SW company. We just wanted to test these devices before star working on them. This happened when we run some programs from the program list of the device.

i would also follow the recommendations Jalopy is making.
also make sure that you dont have too many text messages on your device otherwise HTC Messaging will slow the whole device down!

How many is "some" programs?
What programs are you using? I would like to reproduce the bug.
Sounds to me considering the amount of people having the same problem in different areas doing different steps, that this is memory related and not hardware.
Are you closing your applications after you use them?
Even when you exit some default programs (wrong or right) they are still displayed in the task manager (taking up precious memory ). Make sure you are closing your apps by checking in Task Manager and ending the task correctly and cleaning your ram or alternatively you can download Duttys Task Manager that allows you to close the app by pressing x rather than minimizing it.

Freeze after rom flash.
Hello i thought i may use this thread since the topic is the same. I recently got my hd2,so i thought i could experiment on it changing the rom that could optimize the hardware usage, since the original rom was not good. Anyway i installed Hspl_2 and added this rom:Miri_rom_hd2_WM65X from htcpedia
I followed the guide on this site so everything went fine. the device booted nicely with the new rom, but when i reboted the device it freezes on the htc logo. I performed hard reset and it works fine, but each time i reboot the device freezes at the htc logo and i am forced to hard reset it each time.
I wonder if its something wrong with the rom? and what about the radio?

HI..haveing some questions about my hd2 (leo)
I am checking software info now and it says
Os-version: 5.2.21869 is that wm5?
Manilla version 2.5.19211619.0 (upgradable8)?
Rom-version: 1.66.409 (76641) NOR (shall i upgrade)
Radioversion: 2.07.51.22_2.
The thing is that i really want android, but i have no clue where to start to read how to "have fun" with this phone. And it seems like i have wm5? shouldnt it be vm6? I would be very thankfull if someone would help me with this

When I first went to Software Info I was confused too. However, it is in fact Windows Mobile 6.5.
Just go to the settings tab on HTC Sense, then tap 'Menu' > 'All Settings' > 'System' > 'About'. It shows the WinMo version there.

First thing you need to do is quit posting and start reading. I will help you with some guidelines to get you started.
1. HSPL - Use this to give your phone the ability to take a custom radio or custom rom.
2. Choose a rom - I suggest Energy for variety. Take a look at all different options.
3. Flash a radio - use one that is compatible with your chosen rom.
4. Flash your rom
5. Pick an android build - need microSD card to use at the moment.
6. Run android via Haret.
