HD mini is a HVGA device, so expect some incompatibility or additional work required to make some of the app to be WVGA compatible.

Maybe people who are working on this can give feedback in this thread about which packages will work on the WVGA screen and which not. Also, WVGA ports of some packages are very welcome....
Here is my first contribution:
Opera_Browser_9_70_35627_0
The skin used by this browser is for the HVGA screen. Maybe you like it, maybe not. The command bar for example is very small.
Workaround: to make it work just use the skin.zip file of the WVGA (HD2) opera builds.
Issues Someone reported some issues with the rotation of the screen. I did not encounter any issues with it so far on a 23105 build
HTCLockScreen_2_0_19221430_00 (The Mini Lockscreen)
Well you know the story by now

What I've noticed is that these EXT packages are very old
We have to wait for something better

Yes i've posted this rom 1 month ago on mobile underground...

Not to soon, there's a new Lockscreen, a new Opera build, and maybe there are some other new packages too. I didn't make a match yet with older builds, but I'm sure there are some very useful packages. (And let's not forget, all these package are supposed to run flawlessly on a 6.5.x build)

Aswom Appelflap, thanks for sharing.

Ok, Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_2G_5_0_62119221928_0 is a whole new version (5)
TMous 2.10 rom is using Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_2G_4_2_62120113626_0
Anyone tried to port this version to wvga. It seems that only the pics have other dimensions.

i've ported the on-screen, but still small glitches to work out, it'd posted in my sticky thread in themes section...

Hi pafimal, you beat me to the post..
Just downloaded and testing, a few bugs so far.
1-Double entry for TouchFLO in settings screen.
2-No finger scroll in contacts.
Seems OK at present, I was using V17 (POLARIS_WM6.1_v1.52.61.17_B19588) as I found V18 a little quirky.
How to change clock to white face
Does anyone know how to change the clock face to white on the PDAViet releases?
Thanks all..
Are there any changelog or a list which packages are included? Obviously he switched to an older build ( 5.2.19214 Build 19214.1.0.4 )...
greets
Tom

Rhodium QVGA Dependencies

I've been breaking my head trying to figure out why the Rhodium Menu Enhancement works fine on some phones but never works on others. Is it certain builds? Is it certain files? Certain file versions?
In order to figure it out, I want to collect as much info as possible on the dependencies. I know that the dependencies are:
Coredll.dll
aygshell.dll
I'm gonna try to track down the dependencies for each dll.
I need some help. Help me gather as much info on it as possible.
gwes.exe and gwes.exe.0409.mui are the big ones. the ones you mentioned aren't necessary

What HTC Scroll Package? I've got HTCScroll.dll version 1.0.1911.1624. What else is in the package?
Also, do you have RunCC installed?
On my own roms, WM 6.1 or WM 6.5, HTCMenus only work when manila is active.

There are always a few cabs out there. The problem is getting it to work in the first place.
HTCScroll.dll is definately needed. it may also require ResLoader.dll (part of the ResourceProxy package), but i'm not 100% sure on that.
on most roms running build 21xxx, you'll have to cook it in to get it working.

[QUESTION] automatic reboot at first boot

Hi
My ROM has some tweaks and extras that needs a soft reset after initialization wth 1st boot. How can I make a automatic reboot just the 1st time the phone boots up?
If you're using RunCC, edit your *.rgu/app.reg accordingly:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\RunCC]
"ResetDevice"=dword:00000001
How can I know if I use runCC?

if i might stick with the topic
2 - xda_uc also offers a reboot after customization - you could add this to your ext
3 - old method: autorun + checkautorun pkg also reboots your rom (dump blackstone or kovsky)
Problem With add2config Packages?
Hey, I had this problem before where all my packages that I cook in with the add2config method (so they can be removed by the user) aren't installing / aren't being set as default...
These are the following packages that I have the problem with:
BG4All Tabs (add2config) - Doesn't appear in the rom at all
A 6.5.5 Theme (add2config) - Isn't default but is in the list of themes
A 6.5.5 Taskbar (add2config) - Doesn't appear in the rom at all
All this was solved when I changed the runcc rgu file: e110406e-9af4-4cdc-932d-255ac9636f4d like everyone says to "ResetDevice"=dword:00000001
But since rebuilding my kitchen im having the same problem, Ive changed the reset device to 00000001 but still none of the add2config packages are working has anyone got any solutions?
Thanks

I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer that without being totally lucky if you don't post your packages or build-log or at least the add2config text files. Anway, maybe you already do this, but if you don't, then start doing this: after cooking, look in the dump and make sure everything is there. Also, look at config.txt to make sure all the add2config's were compiled properly. This will save you the flash-disappointment.
Ok theres my buildlog, my run cc rgu file and one of my add2config files Thanks.

The add2config.txt file is in the wrong folder; it needs to go in the \files sub-folder of the EXT. Put it in there, and you're problems should go away.
Edit: although, I'm seeing this in the build-log:
Found: 1 Extra Info on a Package... Populating config.txt with: CAB: \Windows\B4ALL.cab

and this:
Processing "B4ALL.cab" as file

So, I guess I don't really understand why the .cab isn't installing. I've never used runcc before, so I can't help you on what may be going on with it. I guess it's ok to put the add2config in the main folder, since it looks like it's compiling correctly.
2nd Edit: all the cab is doing is adding a couple of manila files; you should just dump the two files and put them in an EXT and have them over-write the stock manila files. You don't need to run this as a cab, as far as I can tell.
You need to fix this (minor, but might as well do it):
Failed to parse value name HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\start\Tools\Format SD Card.lnk!!!

(disregard my last post on the other thread, I didnt realise you had replied )
Thanks for the response, yeah the add2config file has worked before in the root of the packages, seems something else it buggy :/
Yeah that cab may be so, but that was an old one just as an example, I really need to get it working for this mortscript thing we discussed on the other thread..
Maybe we could discuss more tomorrow ? Perhaps you could have a nosey in my kitchen or something, I know I should work this stuff out myself, but as a chef still in training, its quite difficult to know what to look for, and help from peopel like you is priceless
Thanks

[SOLVED] manual backlight adjust not working

Hi guys!
I encountered a weird problem with the backlight adjust.
COM2 build, Blackstone OEM, Sense2.5 and Sense2.1
Something in my kitchen is broken, because the manual backlight slider has no effect. Automatic adjust is working and the slider itself.
But sliding does not change backlight brightness. :/
Any Ideas where to start looking? (already tried different power packages)
thx 4 any hint!

You should include HTC Util from a blackstone ROM.

You are so right sir! Thank you very much.
It was indeed a bad combination of non-Blackstone HTC Util and a Power_3_6_0_0 package.

Hi, why would you want to use a Blackstone HTC Util on the Diamond?
Go look for that in a shipped Diamond ROM.
+1, you need HTCUtil which suites your device model otherwise it won't work.

I am using HTCUtil 4_19_0_0 form lastest Huashan rom on Topaz and it works. How is this possible?

It probably suits your device! I am using util from Huashan in Rhodium as well without any issues.
I don't know mate you are lucky.
Maybe you could check dependencies if you like to know why?
My experience is that using HTCUtil from the same device model makes the backlight sliders work.
You should know that cooking is all about trial and effort so if it works it works.
It can also happen that a package make one thing work and the other thing not if you know what I mean.
That's why you need to test all stuff working before you publish a rom.
The name says what it does, HTCUtil is taking care of HTC utilities so I would check them all.

I doubt the HTCUtil is device specific dll.
Look at the Leo 1.66 stock rom uses HTCUtil 4.12.0.1 same as Rhodium/Topaz's.
Yah offcourse version numbers are same, I've dumped many roms myself.
But I've learned it the hard way in trial and effort, changing HTCUtil make the backlight sliders work.
