Question about programing an app for android - Droid Eris Android Development

Hello, I have a great idea for an app, I do not do any programing myself. How would you guys suggest that I hire a programmer that I can trust to develop my app for me. any help or advice would be appreciated.

NO. Stay away you Samsung people...stay on your side of the tracks you thieves!
If samsung won't support their own phones then we don't wanna help them
Btw good luck with the capacitive buttons...so far 10,000 units replaced for that.. problem comes back though
I'm assuming people were being semi sarcastic... Otherwise that's just mean. Haha.

Go steal DroidX's devs.
I'd help if I knew a thing or two about programming. Nice the about the epic is that some of development that has gone into the evo was to fix things that should've worked in the first place.
EVO on Tapatalk
Now if you were to offer them all free Epic's I bet you'd sway them easier
Please learn proper grammar, then come recruit.

This is an ignorant comment. This is an international site ... many here have English as a second language. I'm always impressed with someone who speaks more than one language -- as I have trouble with one!
Also ... you might find some good development at this site: http://forum.sdx-developers.com/epic-android-2-12-2/
this is for mostly Samsung phones and many of the same devs are here and there.

[Q] Newbie android app developer

I'm new to software development, I just got an Android phone after having an Iphone, and have desided that I want to give making an app a whirl. Unfortunately I have no idea how or where to start, so I hoping to get some helpful advice. Anything that you have would be GREATLY appreicated, thank you!
This is probably a good place to start:

Lars Vogels tutorials got me started, great stuff.
Hey thank you for that website I'll give it a try!

My heartfelt thanks!

Firstly let me apologise for starting a thread that doesn't directly have anything to do with the HD2. I'd just like to thank the guys/dolls here at xda for their patience and help with all of my posts! I know this is going to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech, but I'd like to thank conantroutman, wilco, sevoflurane, M3PH, kurt-willems, co0kieMonster, Chainfire, dhruwal, Unit ZERO and MichelDiamond for their advice and seminal apps (sniff-sniff). I love you all!
not sure what I did but your welcome.......

You're far too modest. You were the first member to welcome me and give me the low down on how to search for the info I was looking for. I just wanted to air my appreciation because your help and guidance are much appreciated.
