My universal is bought as an normal PPC - and it is not midified in any way by any operator.
I can install "anything" on it.
I downloaded a program , it run fine, I replaced the program's exe file with an modified version, and I get "the file '...' cannot be opened. Eighter it is not signed with a thrusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. you might need to reinstall or restore this file."
replaceing the EXE with the original one works.
the same , modified exe worked on a WM2003SE device.

i alredy tried this file, I found it under the name : Cert_SPCS.CAB

The errormessage does not show up anymore, but the program does not run anyway..

Maybe it checks the file size whenever it is run so if you modified it, the file size is different so it wont run. What did you modify in the game anyway? What game is it?
It is "My Little Tank"
The modification is probaply only a one or a few bytes around the code that checks if it is registered or not - commonly known as "cracked EXE"
the same files worked fine on Wm2003SE

true, I try not to make this forum a pace for this kind of stuff.
I am mostly interested in basicly being able to execute stuff whithout being controlled by M$
- AND -
by knowing few changed bytes seems to be detected by OS , (since the program itself did not detect it on WM2003SE) - thererfore - I see it as a possible way to a great performance boost .. If I/we find out how to disable this behavior.

I only ask because since loading the latested Qtek ROM and copying my selected T-mobile CAB files to the Extended ROM (Deleting all the others first), On a soft boot I get the following error...

I wonder if the are a list or somthing that explain what is what.
Because I don`t like to take safety copy of the hole phone, when I don`t
need to.
For eksampel: I tried the original setup, it took copy of my
insalled programs list. The problem is that after I instaled the new ROM for Diamond, and use the Bacupfile, I still get the programs in the box where you
can uninstal programs, but I can`t remove them.
This if one problem, but it could be great thing to have a list over.

i tried to unistall the i-contacts utiliy

but it doesn't uninstall completely...as a matter of fact it's still there sinsce whenever you try to acces the contacts either from the phone screen either from the program files u don't see the windows mobile contacts but the i-contacts , this way i cannot browse by name or by company (only by name) and it doesn't support greek... how can i get rid of it without hard reseting? please advise

Sounds like you need to contact the developer for help. There should be a link on the site where you got the application from. Not very helpful I know, but it's your best chance to get the right support

Im using WM6 pro SO CE 5.2.1933 (compilacion 18533.0.7.0) By Faman 08/11/2007
everything was fine, but a couple of days ago I realized I wasnt getting any text message.
When I tryed to get into the Sms inbox nothing happened (neither with the direct access, going through Start/Messages, or file browser windows/sms trigger.exe or any other file I saw with the sms word on it)
I know that the short way to fix this is reinstalling WM
But do you know if there is any way to fix the corrupt .exe (I think that is the problem) without all the backup I have to make in case of reinstalling?
Any idea?
BTW, Im not sure if the sms trigger.exe is the file, but when i try to copy from the phone to the pc using the activesync I get the an error, like if the file is read only or copy protected, so in case I can get a copy of the exe Im not sure that I can overwrite it that way.
And for last, my WM version is in spanish.
