Hello.
I have a pair of Klipsch S4i with volume+play/pause control. How do I get this to work uniformly in the Nexus one? I'm using Mortplayer to listen to Audiobook, and native Music or MixZing to listen to music. Right now, the buttons do nothing for these apps.
Please help. Thank you.
I would also like to know this as well. I am considering picking up the Klipsch S4 but if the buttons work on the N1, I'll pick up the S4i.
Thanks
Would be great if Tune WiKi or a similar music app could use the volume up\down press from the in-line 3GS remote to change the volume.
Cheers,
M

I just purchased a set of Nextlink Spider bluetooth headphones and listen to TCPMP. My headphones have a button that lets me play, pause, skip track, and adjust volume. Unfortunately, this only works with Windows media player.
Is there a way to do this with TCPMP? If not, anyone know of player that will but doesn't suck like WMP?
Core is working on making the buttons work with TCPMP. However, I don't know of any other good players that work with those buttons.
Is it possible to hear audio from TCPMP with BT stereo headphones at all? I'd also like to use the headset's hardware controls but it's more important to get the sound and at the moment I can't even get that from TCPMP.
My headset is paired and works just fine with Windows Media Player but not TCPMP.
Does the headphones which come with the iPhone 3GS with the in line remote (play/pause/ volume) work on the nexus one? Does the microphone work?
i don;t know, but the inline ones that come in the box with play, pause, fast forward and rewind do....
I was just asking because I have some Scosche In ear headphones which has the iPhone inline remote. Sound quality will no doubt be better than the supplied headphones, just wondered it the remote/mic will still work in a Nexus One
i honestly don't know.
Does your inline set have a collar around the 3.5 mm jack like sony's used to? or is it just the 3.5mm jack on there?
If it's just a 3.5mm jack on it, then there's a possibility if there is any sort of standard for those controls, but i would have expected Apple to use their own way of doing things....No doubt HTC have on the Nexus one as well
I tried to find the comment, but yesterday I read that a user had his iPhone headset with inline remote work fine but without volume control (the HTC inline remote doesn't adjust volume from what I can tell).
according to ryan block the button works but volume control doesnt

Great stuff thanks
Hi guys, my 328i has a built in Aux input. And it works great with my Vibrants 3.5 output jack. The only issue I have is, the volume is just not as loud as It is listening from the mp3 CD. The volume for both the phone and car is at full volume.
When I usually listen to mp3 cds, the sound goes up way louder. Is there a way to hack the phone to output louder through the 3.5 jack? Or if any of you have the 328, is there some option to do that?
I don't know about mp3 cds but as for official cds bought from the store, they are definitely a lot louder that the phone through aux jack. Same deal with my g1 before I got the vibrant.I'm sure once the rooting and custom recovery is all sorted out and we start getting some custom roms, the devs will include volume hacks just like they did for the g1.

I'm quite satisfied with the volume. If you need to blow your ears off boost up the EQ.
Actually, it's really weird. Through headphones I can equalize my Vibrant and iPod to sound the same, but through AUX, the vibrant is quieter (Same volume settings). Really makes no sense to me. It has to be something with the equalizer...
Edit: But it is in no way quiet. I have to turn up my car stereo by like 4.
Try a different cable or a higher quality audio file.
I play songs between 192kbps to 328kbps and have no problems. The volume is at the same level since I used my mp3 cd.
appreciate the inputs, i'll look for the equalizer on the phone.
Have you guys tried sending the audio thru bluetooth audio enable car radio? Pretty cool no cables needed
I can even listen to pandora and send the audio to my stereo

whoa, i'm going to have to try this out. any advice?
I have the Pioneer Z110BT Navigation and it has bluetooth audio. Just pair your Vibrant to the Pioneer then play any song on your vibrant using the music player. Click options then "Via bluetooth".
Then go to your stereo and click on bluetooth audio. Voila! Streaming music from your Vibrant to car stereo. The sound is also great!!
Not to hijack this thread but my one complaint of the phone is how low call volume and audio volume are.
Everythings turned up to max and this phone is roughly half as loud as my MT3G is set at 50%.
I have a Sony xplode and play through Bluetooth, I get great sound.
I have no issues with call sound or ring levels. I actually have to turn it down sometimes because its to loud.

I built a custom cable to connect the headphone jack to my Pioneer's IPBUS connector - it works great, and is very loud. I keep both the head unit and phone's volume on half way, and depending on the song I may have to turn it down, too.
I just got a Droid X this week coming from a Droid Incredible. I used a pair of Klipsch S2M headphones on my Incredible to control PowerAmp using the headset controls. On the Inc, I could double press to skip the song and triple press to rewind so I know the headphones are capable of this on an Android phone. I can't seem to get these functions to work on my Droid X regardless of what ROM or music app I use. Has anyone had any success with this or is the X just simply incapable of these functions? Thanks in advance
I've used the headset controls in poweramp before and on others. Had no problem. And if I remember correctly I have a klipsch (sp) headset as well. You may just want to check your settings.

Yeah I've tried turning headset controls off and on, no luck. I can play/pause with a single click, but the multi click actions won't work.
on any other phones tested on this car the volume is great iPHone and Samsung Infuse. I noticed the note is significanly lower volume while bluetooth audio streaming. Does anyone know any bluetooth service menu adjustments for this? I saw a few threads in the GSII guys, and I remember voodoo control on a droid charge i used rooted to get volume acceptable a year ago. What are we doing for the galaxy note to get bluetooth Audio streaming louder. I have tried Volume + apk and it works but it doesnt have clarity and proper bass output. Are rooting and going to ICS solving bluetooth audio streaming volume issues?
I even tested this on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler and my 2007 infiniti. same thing on volume.
I know i cant be the only one..... This is a big deal to me i love music

DSP Manager floating here on xda has separate settings for speaker, headphones and bluetooth - you could try to set BT equalizer to max through all the freqs
PS.: on my Note I have version from this thread, installed according to post #2, works perfectly
I just tried mine with a Sony Ericsson MW600 headset and some Sony headphones i got with an old mp3 player and the volume is really loud, no problems at all.
John.
Well I'm currently on stock rom and it looks like I'd need to root in order to play
