Can "My Documents" folder be moved to SD? - HD2 General

My Documents folder is located on main memory. It is often that newly installed programs will create some subfolder there and start saving data files, documents, pictures, etc. Is it possible to move "My Documents" folder into SD card permanently ( by changing registry or running some cab). This would free up some memore immediately and then will reduce the risk of using main memory for some data files.
I know some programs allow to adjust settings of where data files are kept, but I am sure some will follow windows settings.

WM2005 - Showing contents of /My Documents in the SD Card

In wm2003SE in the file "Browse" dialog box, even the files in my SD in the My Documents folder were being listed.
In WM5 this is not happening. Only files in My Documents on the actual Device are being shown.
Does anyone know what has to be done for the OS to search the SD card My Documents folder as well when its browsing files.
Anyone?

Download to SD Card in PIE? Word Excel Doc on SD Card How re

When downloading in PIE, I only get the option to download to Main Memory.
How do I get the option to do this?
Also, if I start Mobile Word ec I only get to see docs in Main memory not SD Card.
What I am doing wrong?
okay, i'll answer one bit myself.
Docs on SD card , mustnt now be in sub folders of my documents. Today themes must just be in Storage Card, no sub folders.
Still stuck on Pie ?
Ok, I'll add to that...your .doc's don't have to be in My Documents, you can create as many folders as you want in the storage card's root and put your .doc's in it. Word will 'see' them. Helps to split your documents up a bit...I've created the folders 'Business Documents', 'Personal Documents', Downloaded Documents, etc.

IE cache/history still storing on device, NOT SD

Ok, I'm using the program Registry Wizard, created by one of the great users on this forum...Anyways, I'm runing into a small but annying problem.
For some reason my storage card was renamed to Storage Card2, and a new folder on the device was created named Storage Card, and this is where all the IE data is being stored. I deleted this folder, and attampted to rename the actual storage card, back to "Storage Card" and it said there was an error and the folder cannot be renamed. What is the particular reason for this? I'm attempting to name it back, and THEN apply the reg hack to save all IE data to the "Storage Card" folder
Any ideas?

Change "MyDocument" location...

Hi guys!
I'd like to change the default storage location and the default MyDocument folder location to the memory card.... is it possible?
up!
Try this:
There should be a file called "ignore_my_docs" on your SD. Cut and paste it to the root of your device.
Now just create the "My documents" folder on the SD.

Problem with Camera writing to Storage card

I have this strange problem I can't figure out
I can take a photo and save it to the internal memory, but not the Storage Card. The camera recognizes teh storage card when I insert it, asks me if I want to make it the default storage location, but when I take pictures, nothing gets saved.
I can put files on the storage card just fine.
any thoughts?
TIA

Does it repeatedly ask if you want to save to storage card?
When you check has it resorted to Main?
Do you have the Network folder enabled?
If so then check through this:
Hermes Camera
Camera Save/Storage Problems
Specifying your own location in registry=
HKLM - Software - HTC - Camera - Image - SaveFolder - xyz
where xyz is your folder name, but note this folder will be added as a subfolder of the following (in this case storage card) auto added path:
/Storage Card/My Documents
Note that setting a location or name other than the defaults will result in problems viewing pictures via the application, though they can be view by locating and opening files individually.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\Image]
value of "Saveto" = 0 will save images to main memory
value of "Saveto" = 1 will save images to storage card
Usually the camera only asks about storage card when you have just inserted a new card OR you have the "network" folder enabled.
Now unfortunately the camera is only capable of saving to one of two locations at any one time so:
If the view network folder is NOT enabled you will be offered:
"Main" or Storage card" and once set it will remember your choice and not ask again.
BUT with Network folder enabled and a storage card inserted you will:
be asked if you want to use "StorageCard" every time you start Camera, but in camera tools you will only be offered "Main" or "Network" even if you chose the card. It will not set to storage card even if you said you wanted this when camera started.
So, if you want to use main memory with a storage card inserted and don't want the silly question about using storage card each time, then you must disable the network folder. (Use Resco or File Commander to do this - forget now if regukar File Explorer does it)
Equally if you want to save to storage card you will also need "network" folder disabled otherwise it will save to Main memory even when you say yes to Storage Card on start up of application.
The default setting for the Network folder is disabled, so if you are having problems it is likely to have been enabled by using the likes of Resco or Total Commander.

"\Storage Card\My Documents" corrupted?!??
So I tried to make the changes above, and I discovered that my "\Storage Card\My Documents" folder must somehow be corrupt. I can't even create a "My Pictures" sub-folder to do the Regedit fixes above. BTW, I WAS able to create a new folder in "\Storage Card"
Any idea why this is happening?

How about using active sync explore function on PC. Delete the folders and recreate \Storage Card\My Documents\My pictures
