Hi Guys, and hopefully hi Cyanogen
Since this has started to be a big issue in CM's thread and answers/workarounds are all around, I wanted to have a separate topic for this weird bug.
As seen in the attachment, there is a pink stain in the middle of the picture.
How to fix this?
This is happening also with Modaco MCR 1.7...
So I guess it comes from some days ago but nobody noticed!
Does anybody with Stock ROM has this problem?
bye
i have the same problem on nexus
Just for Info:
In Cyanogen 5.0.2 all was fine with camera.
5.0.3., 5.0.3.1, 5.0.4 and 5.0.4.1 has this Problem.
MCR 1.5 was fine, too.
I hope, that helps.
Same here, but I really start to think that this problem was ALWAYS here. It's been on the N1 since the beginning, Google even stated that they would have fixed with the first OTA upgrade......... as far as I know it's never been fixed.
P_
Hd2 also had that problem... HTC made a hotfix to eliminate the issue.
Why is this moved to general?
Is here the chance better than in development forum, that cyanogen or other developers see it????
Moving this thread was a big fail, I think!

Because it isn't a development issue... do a 30 second search for "pink camera nexus one" and you will see it has nothing at all to do with development.
As well, if it is a problem with cyanogen's ROM, you should post in his ROM thread, not start a whole new thread cluttering up the development section. Pretty simple basic rules that have been in place for nearly a decade now.
Some people have reported this is fixed by turning off auto white balance. Might be worth a shot, although it's kind of a pain in the butt.

I started this a little bit after I posted because I thought mabey it was a general problem. (sorry) Anyways, thanks...again... lol
Mods please close this If you think I am wrong.
Firstly there are a lot of guys here asking about the same problems with android which I dont think are being noticed because the messages are either deleted or thread closed so no one see's.
I am not the only one with these problems with android but here are the 2 main ones that keep popping up and mods keep knocking us back down telling us to post in the relevent thread yet these problems are not for a relevent thread.
1. With certain Android Roms users are experiencing when answering and making calls the phonecall will be disconnected due to a problem with the proximity sensor.
2. With the latest Zimage from Cotulla certain users are getting the SOD (screen of death) when the phone goes into standby mode. Cotulla has mentioned this problem is fixed yet we cant find this fix anywhere and he has released the GPS working fix yet no SOD fix?
Hope I dont come off too strong its just when we as in the members try and get our opinion across or ask for help, we are shot down instantly by Moderators who frankly I know more Info than them and they should not close threads on guessing what our problem is.
Thanks, and If anyone thinks I should be a part of the staff Team Just gimme a shout, and ill keep things in order!

have you posted the disconnect problem in the respective rom. I personally have never had it.
secondly if you are getting the green screen of death with the 25th zimage you should revert back to the 23. That image is considered to be the most stable for those who have sharp panels which is what is causing the Gsod.
my two cents
From what I have seen, said mods are only closing threads that their questions have been answered in the sticky information. Its those questions that had made it fustrating for the mods the dev's and the general xda community. I literally see the same questions over and over and these have been answered.

Well not all Android Builds are there same so you are going to have different results, Darkstones proximity sensor for calls works perfect, GPS has been fixed and working except the releases are all home made so far not official, the latest zimage is random for some people, personally works perfect for me but on another hd2 i have available the same build the image doesn't work, so who knows,
and as far as creating threads for problems and questions and answers its a waste of time because they get ignore and dropped down the pages like the thread i made yesterday to help out but nobody uses it or adds any extra info for it, cause it is mainly new people come here for android and they cant be arsed to search for anything and think everything works perfect straight away
@bazgee my point is there is many threads open and closed because you new people just wont search anything
Dude, all these questions have been answered like a 1000 times... Use search! you'll find a solution / answer!
I'm a noob at this.... really, and i had my fair share of hick-ups.. I've researched and read a lot for two days before attempting to install.. This way i knew what my problem would or would not have... I have not asked any questions yet regarding Android errors, please read and research dude... You'll find it!
If not, send me a pvt message and i will search it for you! The mods dont like it if you open these kinds of threads.. Unless you absolutly sure your the only one with this problem..
No offense, just making a point..
Were is the text selection method of Desire in Froyo?
Friends help me if possible, In Desire Build V5 .... to select a portion of text, we have a selection method like iphone, that alowed to stretch and shrink, was better than iphone, because we can send it to google tradutor or even to twitter or email.
Now, in Froyo this method of selection dont work...we have one like WM....and is wast we just can copy!!
For exemple:
How did you select a portion of text to edit bold, italic or underline??
I give my centims to, who can, make the a phrase like mine up with Froyo Darkstone V1 in HD2
Is any option off? or is it a app, which?
if not, it's possible to port the method selection of Desire in Froyo.
thanks

So Im guessing my second question still cannot be answered. Cotulla has said the SOD has been fixed yet where is this fix? GO ON search and then try and call me a noob.
I know for a fine fact there will be loads of users reading this right now agreeing with me and glad that I posted this.
Dude, i'm not calling you a noob, and i'm not dissin you in anyway,
The SOD, came with the latest Zimage from the 25th, dont use this one.. Get the ZImage from the 23rd NO SPEEDY!
If your problem still persists, i suggest you:
- Remove SD and SIM card
- Hard Reset
- Task 29 it
- Put a compatible radio on it, (See my signature for a example)
- Put a decent winrom on it, like Chuckys, Miri or Energy
- Hard reset it again
- Insert Sim and SD card
- Format SD CARD (uncheck quick format)
- Put an Android built on it, with Zimage Nospeedy from the 23rd
- perhaps a Android Loader...
Do this, might take you 30 min overall... and you'll be home free...
Now i've explained it again.. hope this helps and hope you'll research more in the future..
Alright bro, Good luck
maybe It hasnt been released. I know for sure the first few post says the 23rd is the most reliable version. I personally check his uploads daily. I havent seen it.
Zimage of the 25th was released untill everyone started to complain, then Cotulla removed the link...
To the OP.
I agree, some things need to be searched first, and your orig questions have been answered, I also to some extent agree with the you though, things get locked/deleted MUCH to soon.
In my case I searched for 2 days, found nothing, then posted a thread for thoughts and to help the devs of that Img/Kernal out with some info. I doubt they ever saw it because it was locked.
My issues are with the Camera (black screen only) and no Audio in phone calls. (yet i could get audio in EVERYTHING else)And yes, CLRCAD, etc, I know...
I was told to post in the relevent thread, but in my case, there wasn't one. So meh, it happens. I only thought I should have at least had a chance to respond but w/e.

It's because there is a bug for some people on that ROM. It is a leaked test rom, and isn't perfect. Read in the thread for the respective rom, there are some work arounds.
Also, just an FYI, next time try to pay mind to where you post, and aim for the Q and A section. This is a development section, and it's intended for development related topics (roms, kernels, etc). Just a friendly reminder for your future posts.
Wrong Section, Known Bug, And FYI, It's An Unofficially Official ROM. It's A Tester That Leaked...
You should now considered asking a mod to deleting this so that nobody flames you...
(By no way am I trying to come off as an ass.)
Edit: wow, posted a sec before me sounding real similar. Lol.

If you installed one of the Leaks for GingerSense or one of the Roms Based off GBsense for the Desire ? flash a new Rom thats Based on Froyo and Check.
And i'm not 100% sure but i think you might be in the wrong Board for this question but i hope this info can help you..
This has to be a troll post. No way someone asked about that issue that is posted all over the place, and just happened to provide only two attributes of their phone which are the ones that would generally be associated with that issue.
If it is not a troll post, then wow. I don't usually rag on people for dumb questions, but this one has literally been beaten to death in every thread regarding the leak.
Hey,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. 4 weeks old and yesterday I discovered a problem that was not obvious. Under a black background in a dark place, I could see little dark black dots scattered over the screen. I once had the same problem with my iPad but in a different colour (white) and they gave me a new iPad right away So I just wanted to warn you guys to check for this problem, as one of my friends had this problem too!
Hope this helps!

yes, because people do not search before posting anything.. They find something and think "Oh I need to let everyone on XDA know about this" Go and create a thread without ever thinking "I wonder if anyone else has had the problem I have, maybe I should search before I create a new thread"
Like yesterday, a guy created a thread on jellybean source, 10 minutes later another person created another thread on Jelly Bean Source, not even seeing that just 3 threads down from his was the original JB thread... There is no excuse for that.
So not only are people not searching, but they arent even taking the time to look through the threads on the first page.. it's laziness, it clutters the forum for more useful posts.. And there is really no excuse for it.
When I experience a problem I know the first thing I do is search to see if anyone else is having that same problem. 90% of the time a search yields me what I need, if not THEN I create a thread, I dont create a thread without searching to see If there is an existing thread about the issue I'm having
OP your intentions are noble, but for the furture.. please search before you post. If you had you would of found the mega thread discussing this issue and would have learned more about the issue instead of just creating a thread..
is the fix for this using screen filter app?

Hello HD2 users,
I'm an X10 user so I'm pretty noob in HTC HD2 android development.
The problem is that my dad has this phone and he tried to boot this rom.
Booting went good, everything is working except 3G data. I haven't found any buglist on this thread, so I don't know if it is normal or not. Everything is configured just like by me, even restoring stock APN settings doesn't help.
He has also some Froyo ROM and there 3G works just great. But Froyo is already old ROM, so I suggested him ICS.
Please tell me if You have any solution or the problem is just with ROM.
PS. If the problem is with ROM could You suggest any fully working ICS SD card ROM.

Not even a minute of searching the keyword "data" on that thread, and I already have the fix.
Let me give you an advice.
When experiencing a bug in a ROM, do this:
1- Check the first posts (probably will have a bug list or fixes for bugs)
2- Search the thread with potential keywords.
3- Post in the rom's thread.
4- Post your question/bug in Q&A.

Well, I would rather disagree with this ;P
The "no-data issue" seems to be quite frequent or at least my little research make me think so. I spent many hours testing different ROMs and searching for the solution (reading the SD and NAND info, changelogs, searching for "3g", "data connection" etc.) and I've found nothing, so maybe it's all about knowing HOW and WHERE to seek for the solution ;P... or just being lucky.
I would love to "post in the rom's thread" but I'm not interested in wasting my time to post 10 replies if I don't have anything to say or to spam in some God's forgotten topic just to get the opportunity to write "my 3g data sucks, mommy help! ". I don't who invented this 10-posts block for development forums but it's definitely annoying.
What I would do is pin the solution somewhere so that it was visible for everyone. The xda forums server would then be free of hopeless research done by users like me ;P
Since you posted the solution I will try it and - if it works - add it to my 3g-unfriendly roms list...

Not sure if troll or pure stupidity. (I believe it's stupidity)
First of all, do not rant at those who are trying to help you. (especially if they DID help you)
Second, "3- Why, there are 100 of replies so the dev won't read it so soon." Who are you to be helped by the developer himself? huh? ... when I said "ask it in the rom's thread", I didn't even think of the developer. But the users, there are many experienced members who had tried that particular rom, and probably faced the same issue and had it fixed, and they were going to help you. I DID NOT MEAN THE DEVELOPER HIMSELF.
And that advice was for future reference, I did not mean this thread. I repeat, I DID NOT MEAN THIS THREAD.
In case you don't know, Here is the definition of the word advice:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ad·vice : Guidance or recommendations concerning prudent future action, typically given by someone regarded as knowledgeable or authoritative.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And with that attitude, I doubt I will be helping you again.
Have a nice day !
