Adobe Flash Player 7? - HD2 General

Has anyone tried this on the HD2 yet? HTC said it should work but hasn't been tested.
www.adobe.com products flashplayer_pocketpc
(replace spaces with /)

That's old news bro. Would be useless on every site now, used to work (to a degree) years ago though.

We are looking for Flash Player 10.1/
I hope to come out soon.

On the HD2 and Nexus video from the link below, did I just see the guy do pinch to zoom on IE?????

Maybe he added it to BSBtweaks' list of pinch to zoom apps. (Not tried it personally, as I only use IE to download stubborn files!)

no as it zooms without showing the little triangle showed by the pinch to zoom activated by bsb tweaks

opera flash htc hd2

hi all is their any way to get sites like youtube and facebook working with flash,
Try the Skyfire browser, runs on my Kaiser a treat. If my HD2 ever arrives i'll be using that. I'm pretty sure there is an Opera Flash Fix though on this site.
I do not own a leo as yet but definitely intend to.
What happens if you install the Flashlite 3.1.cab floating around the web.
I have tried this on my HTC HD and flash works. I can open youtube right within the browser. For those who own the HD2, does this not work there.
Thanks
Guys,
You do realize that the HD2 comes with the You Tube ap pre-installed.
All you do is from the Start menu scroll down to the You Tube icon, click on it and it then loads a selection of videos.
From here you can do all manner of things including a search & most viewed today.

did you check this?

this should work.
I think flash movies runs on IE6. If you are just after flash movies, then just use IE6 to view those sites. I don't own a HD2 yet but I will do when it comes out in Hong Kong in time for Xmas.
that fix doesn`t work for me, because hd2 is not supported device yet...
Flash Lite is there, and Opera certainly supports flash, it's just a matter of enabling it. It's been the case with most devices (Flash works in beta ROMs and doesn't work in release ROMs, probably due to some licensing restrictions).
fixOperaFlash doesn't work because Opera settings on the Leo are stored in the registry, and FOF patches opera.ini, which is missing. Somebody just needs to read what it does and apply the steps intended for opera.ini to the registry.
At worst, you can replace Opera executables with a previous build, although enabling it properly is definitely better.
hi all tested skyfire and it isnt fully working as it seems it runs in 400x240 or less and stretches the picture and icon e.c.t.
everything looks zoomed in and horible

I saw a video on PocketNow.com. The guy says it works like wonder. Take a look at their videos on the HD2.

That's what Skyfire does, I'm afraid. So it's working as well as it can.
BTW, there's a FAQ in the fixOperaFlash thread that explains how to add support for HD2, you just need to update fixOperaFlash.ini and rerun the program. After that you should have flash support in Opera.

Should add that to the sticky, seeing as so many people want to know how to add flash to Opera
So did it work for you? I don't have an HD2 yet, so can't test myself.
I have just posted a message on that thread, stating that it kind of works.
Ah, OK. I think this is as far as it will go, current mobile Flash implementation isn't complete and doesn't support ActionScript or something like that required to pass the full Flash 9 test. It will work in most cases though until Adobe updates mobile Flash player.
ok so to get this fixOperaFlash working on the hd2 i need to install the latest version fixOperaFlash v1.5.3.0, and then add this to the ini file
[Touch-HD2]

is it this simple?, as skyfire is stretched on the wvga screen
You'll need real values instead of <version>, but otherwise yes, it should be that simple.
confirmed, it works... just download fixoperaflash.ini fili and copy it into your windows directory... then run the tool, and soft reset device...

Disable pinch to zoom for FPseCE

How can I do that. When I use multi touch pinch to zoom activates and makes problems.
it is very annoying when playing a game but its useful when you configure the buttons n whatnot
Donate and get supporter version plus you get multitouch and no latency on the onscreen buttons

Well it would not be hard to enable it and disable when done but I do not have problems with config anyhow.

I have donated and pinch to zoom has nothing to do with FPseCE it is bloody rom's that do that. No matter which rom I use if pinch to zoom is enabled it does that to FPseCE.

Using BsB Tweaks, go to Menu, Pinch to Zoom, and look in the list for fpsece_0.10.exe
Tick the box and go Options, Remove selected apps.
If it's not in that list then you'll have to do it directly via the registry, but I believe that list is what's in the registry, so it should work.
Hope this helps

It is not in that list. I have found a registry that holds data similar to BSB in name. It is not there as well. I have added the app to blacklist no working.
that's odd, as on last few supporter versions pinch to zoom is not working anymore. btw: multitouch is working sweet now, we only have to wait a bit for onscreen d-pad.

Yeah - I got the latest version emailed to me yesterday and it doesn't pinch to zoom. Doesn't make sense to do so if you're using multi-touch to control the game.

I think it was there all along. I mean I play some games like crash bandicot where I use that?!
I think I do or am I missing something?
oh boy... look, now You can have emulated analog stick or four separate directional buttons. schtruck is going to add 8 directional onscreen d-pad in the future. this means, that playing any game from then is going to be a pure pleasure.

Multitouch in Internet Explorer

There is a video on youtube showing the HTC HD2 running internet explorer with multitouch working - pinch to zoom.
Now I know IE is not the popular choice but I find the flash support in some of the newer roms to be excellent and I probably use IE more than Opera.
Does anyone know how to get multitouch working in IE?
You could use BSBtweaks which lets you add apps to pinch to zoom and rotate.
Thanks for the response, tried but no luck. Im using MIRI rom, not sure if it's compatible

The ROM won't change this - it's part of the OS. For some reason, you can't add pinch-to-zoom to some programs. IE is one of them.

Every day's a school day!
Ah, that sucks a little, IE has become quite a good browser, if I could get multitouch, like in the video, I could ditch opera :-(
Anyone know of any other solutions?
+1
Bump, was thinking the same
i wasnt liking the new implementation of opera 10 and was searching for a tweak in IE
The version that you are seeing is a special one that Adobe used to show off flash 10.1 running on the device with 'propper' pinch zoom built in. I'm sure it will eventualy leak in one of the 6.5.x builds, but until MS leak it then we are stuffed.

I can't zoom in n out in opera n on snaps by touch screen

You need to be clear about what your problem is. Sorry mate, but that's a pretty messed up first post. Can you edit it so we can tell what the problem actually is?
i just upgraded to new manila energy rom.. before my pinch system was working..like i can zoom in or out by touching screen in opera n on my pictures..
like we can do on iphone..
but now this system is not working

Thanks - I get you now
Is it Opera 10 in that ROM? If it is then pinch-to-zoom doesn't work. It's only on the bundled 9.7 that is works. They may re-add this functionality when they eventually release a non beta version of 10, but I don't know - that's just a guess.
You should still be able to double-tap to zoom in and out though.

Opera 10 Pinch to zoom

Any way to have pinch to zoom exactly the same like in opera 9 ???
Lookin solution for HD2.
BSB tweaks pinch to zoom not works the same.
+1
please
Come on .. wait at least an hour to start the exact same thread over and over ..
The answer is no.
Bump Can't this be solved in the final version?

this is no simple registry hack that someone could do easily. it has to be done from opera. if you like pinch to zoom just install the 9.7 version.
I understand, but what's the point of not supporting that in version 10, in the era of big screen smartphones?
I have 9.7 on my HD2, and it's fine except flash support, since the fix provided somewhere here in the forums doesn't work...

Opera 9.7 was made specifically for the HD2, the only WM (at the time of writing) with multi-touch. Opera 10, however, was made for all windows mobile devices, so it only has generic features. Anyway, the zoom in Opera 10 blows pinch-to-zoom with reflow out of the water. At least you can actually zoom in where you want to, and not zoom in and then find what it was you wanted to zoom in on in the first place!
Thanks for the informative answer. By the way, in 9.7, don't we achieve the same as you mentioned with a double tap to the specific location of the website?
You could probably try zoomer.

Nope Zooomer in my opinion sux... It creates this small previewwindow in the buttom.. I do not like that!
I'm just looking for normal pinch to zoom feature!
Hope someone can help!
yes zoomer could work,I'm still using 9.7
OK so then two choices:
Keep Opera 10: Deal with no pinch to zoom
Go back to Opera 9.7: Pinch to zoom but no flash...
...great...

I don't know where you all get the idea there is no flash support for 9.7, Flash works just fine on 9.7 for me.
to be honest in my opinion pinch to zoom in a browser is overated, i find thee tap to zoom in 10 absolutely perfect.

the problem is... sometimes you want to zoom a different amount.. and not having to go to settings to change the percentage.
it's not an easy hack, but I hope someome will do it. I'd sure buy that guy/gal who would, a few pints!
BSB Tweaks does support pinch to Zoom in Opera 10. I have been using it for a few weeks now.
